  • If you want to improve your psychological knowledge in a way that is more fun than just studying and trying to memorise, I recommend reading a popular science book. You will be surprised how often the ideas in these books pop up in your actual course! And you’re far more likely to actually understand these ideas having read about their wider context.
    Check out my website psychboost.com/psychology-boo... for my review of each of these books including why they will help with your A level!

    Btw i found a slight error, in the baddeley experiment recall after 20 minutes was worst with the semantically similar words (group C) not group D :)
    You do say that its list C but in the writing part it says list D was recalled worst.

    Just wanted to say thank you for doing what you’re doing. You have no idea how many of us you’ve helped out! When I first started psychology I was struggling but now I’m thankfully getting really high grades and your videos have been a really big help 🥺💙 thank you soosos much! God bless you💙

      What grade did u end up getting? I’m in year 12 and not doing great I’m putting a lot of effort and extra time in but nothing seems to be working this is the first video I’ve watched from this guy

      @@J1hn2396 I ended up getting straight As so far with my assessments. And a improvement from a B on my first mock (paper 1) to an A- on my second mock (paper 2). Flashcards and past paper questions have helped me a lot! I would suggest revising the content briefly via psychboost & your notes
      Then teaching it to a wall haha or someone maybe to truly bring out your understanding of it (feynman technique)- & revising/answering flashcards frequently for active recall! Active recall is really helpful. I’m on my last year of a levels now and I sadly forgot to revise back to year 1 contents such as memory etc so it was hard remembering majority of it cuz I didn’t constantly remind myself of it so just a heads up hehe.
      Most of all answer as many past paper qs! Look at mark schemes and practice writing model answers:). They really help you get in the top mark band. All the best

    I find it difficult to remember all the studies linking to each memory stores, do you have any suggestions?

    • @PsychBoost
      @PsychBoost  3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Ah, I cut it down as much as I can but part of the difficulty is the quantity. But as much active revision as possible. (flash cards/quizzing mates) not passive (re-reading/re-watching) has been shown to be more effective.

      Depending on the question like an essay probably 3-6 case studies but they’re mainly used for A03
