All those whose big family gets together and argues on Thanksgiving... be THANKFUL. All my close family is dead, my son has moved 3 states away for his husband's grad school, so it will be just me and my husband, and our 2 cats. One of whom LOVES turkey, so she's always thankful on Thanksgiving. About the best thing I can be thankful for is that I won't need to make nearly as much food... but I'll probably come close anyway, because AFAIC, turkey/dressing/mashed spuds/gravy is COMFORT FOOD TO THE MAX. And pumpkin pie is a really excellent excuse to consume a farking mountain of whipped cream.
