Been looking forward to this. Two of my favorite things are Bridges and Trains. Here's a thought 🤔 A video about Railroad Bridges.

I've been asked to do railroad bridges by others as well so it is a future video that I will cover. I just want to get some more videos out in the meantime but I will get to railroad bridges eventually

That's an insane amount of swing bridges that I don't want to talk about them for awhile haha

I'm going to speak on the Spuyten Duyvil bridge's behalf. 🙂
It's so low bc it was the first railroad to come to Inwood in the mid 19th century, opening up that part of town as a country getaway.
It's beat up, but it won't be burned, it won't be pushed around. It was clearly built on a budget, but it keeps its head low and has survived year after year for almost two centuries.
What New Yorker couldn't respect that?
I'd give it a 'C' like the nineteen swing bridges received.
An 'F' bridge to me would be one that fails to do ANYthing, and the SD bridge has a lot of history.
    Fun video, my guy.👍👍👍👍
Edit: Your pronunciation was fine, and fyi Spuyten Duyvil is old dutch, loosely meaning, 'spit in the Devil's eye'.
Back when we were jolly New Amsterdam, the first guy to try to swim it drowned. Second guy made it and said it was so rough, it was like he spit in the Devil's eye right before he got in the water.
    Colorful, so it stuck.

That's a great defense of the bridge. I do think it looks ugly regardless but I understand why it's so low. I do think it's one of the worst bridges covered in this video so maybe I'd be willing to budge to a D tier. I just got a ton of crap for pronunciation on a prior bridge so I wanted to do better

@@Engineers_Perspective Ugly as sin, not always a bad thing in nyc.
      We can live with 'D'.
One of the achievements in GTA IV was to fly under every bridge in Liberty City.
I immediately thought of Spuyten Duyvil. 😬😬😬😬😬😬
Wasn't in the game, thank God.
      Be well. 🤘

I was just about to say I agreed with everything, but then, the Spuyten Duyvi Creekl Bridge. Thought you ranked it a little low. Maybe because it's a Railroad Bridge. I do have to concur... It is pretty damned ugly. Thanks for the Videos👍

Thanks for watching! It's all good to have a differing opinion than mine! What would you have ranked that last bridge as?
