Love it! Expensive but magnificent. An awesome centerpiece for a primaris army. Fantastic review, especially the size comparison 👍🏻 Pity that the legendary trio ( Sly, primaris and first born) didn’t show up. 😉
Just finished painting my Astraeus & I love it! One very random issue I had was that once it was fully assembled and mounted to the base, there is so much weight it turns the base into a very expensive plunger & sticks to the table 😆 Easily eradicated with a bit of sprue off-cut glued to the underside of the base though 👍🏻 Wish it came with the second heavy stubber option, but the one from the repulsor kit does fit fine 👍🏻 Great video 🙂👍🏻

A note on the rule of the void shield - Once the void shield runs out of "wounds", the model loses that void shield forever so its shield point can't be regenerated in your next Command Phase.
The Astraues is just crazy durable with the void shields and the ability to fly is really good. Thanks for this video, very helpful.
Big fan of this bad boy. It would be nice to have different main turret options in the future.

I still have mixed feeling about this model. The scale seems off to me.
My front was also a pain to get right and still had gaps underneath like yours that needed lots of filler.
I've not had a chance to play it yet as its in my Death watch "we get all the new toys" army that dont get out much.
A new prime transport (land or flyer) would be great but I dread painting all those grav-plates!
I like the front of this tank... something about the gladiator model looks odd. Looks too boxy at front
Strange question - What are the dimensions of the Astraeus? I just want to see if it'll fit in the Really Useful Boxes I use for everything else...
Birthday is coming up in January & now after this review it's a toss up between these two super heavy tanks or a knight lancer....you really make it a tough decision at times.

230 doesn’t sound too bad. Given shit is cheaper in the UK than the US but ~$250 is light years cheaper than what I expected coming from ForgeWorld

A question for an old video - If you could get a Mastodon or an Astraeus - only one- for display purposes - what one would you pick?
Really good question. Depends if you have any Horus Heresy or will get any of the new stuff. If so then get the Mastadon. If you are only into 40K and have Primaris then get the Astraeus.
this army costs twice as much as ive spent for WH40k all in all :D

Honestly this feels like something that could have been designed by the Tau if they had not gone full herp derp gundam mecha weeaboo ruled by a sinister totalitarian not-priesthood hiding under masks of benevolence and stuck to the original idea of being the hard sci fi collation of various alien species being the scrappy underdogs who are not fully aware of their existence being a merely brighter than usual speck of light in a truly hostile universe only moments of being swept aside by anyone of the big dogs of the universe and the only reason they still exist is that the true major players on the stage of the universe keep getting in each others way.
