didn't appreciate the unmarked advert in the beginning, thumbs down.
Goes good with a Try
Dang it! I've been waiting for a discount code & freaking life happened causing me to miss it. Ugh! Thanks for offering one though.
“Here’s this prick again” the best quote of the video
I laughed aloud at that comment

That's what I thought until Paddy said that thing about having to see his therapist.
Darren is brilliant 😆
Paddy suffered through the whole thing and came up with "I'm going to have to see my therapist after this shoot."
Also I had an Uncle Bud.
I put Old Bay on potato salad, slaw, and cooked eggs, as well as seafood.
@@lightbulb1952 come to think of it, I've never tasted it
His last name isn't Bundy, is it?
My dad loves eating peanuts, shell and all. I’ve always thought this was crazy. 😂
Twist: her dad's name is Bud.
Old Bay Seasoning is practically a religious experience. I own several cans of Old Bay. TRYers, y'all should get some really good fish and chips and put Old Bay on them. Yummmmmmm! ❤❤
Dermot's anti-peanut rage cannot be contained.
It's rare that we get a video on TRY that so distinctly and dramatically display's the dichotomy of TRY, with 4 people hurling unrepentant anger and verbal fury at the ungodly hellscape they have been forced to endure at the hands of cruel and unusual gods that delight in their suffering... and... 2 lovely people having some tasty snacks on a fine afternoon. It's beautiful.
Deep fried peanuts brought to you by Uncle Bud, an avid Trump supporter.
This try shoot, needed beer to go along with these peanuts.
Even if they didn't like the peanuts and shells, they would at least have a nice buzz.😊
That’s correct!!😂
@@randallpetroelje3913 😆
Well Lena is in the shoot so can't complain .

I hear she is leaving :(
I think your space bar has a problem.
@@nateshobe6127nooo, why? Shw is such a beautiful ray of sunshine.
Regular peanuts ARE edible, shell and all. Eating them just adds fiber to the experience.
Yeah I usually just eat the whole thing. That's where all the salt is anyway.
Everything is eatable, atleast once.
@@TheW89 Eh, not everything. If it's too big to fit in your mouth and can't be broken down into smaller pieces. 😛
@@englishatheart Ahh, but one can, wait for it....try! Don't hit me, I'll show myself out. 🤣
Just because you CAN eat the shell, doesn't mean you SHOULD eat the shell.
I've never seen Paddy less enthused than he was here. On the other hand, George and Dermot were unusually upbeat all things considered.
I think they tolerate the actual peanuts. It's the peanut butter and the fascination that Americans have with putting it in so many things that makes them crazy
ah now, Old Bay is a huge Maryland tradition. It's almost a joke how many things people use to include an Old Bay version of. It's probably used MOST on steamed whole crabs or crab cakes (lump crab meat stuck together). Regarding eating peanut shells .. I don't think I would or could. :)
Old Bay fries
my personal favorite is the old classic of old bay on crabs, but 2nd place is definitely the old bay hot sauce on french fries
Old Bay is disgusting. Better to use Tony Chacheres
bro i moved to MD 8 years ago and was surprised by two things, the amount of flag support ppl have here and the amount of Old Bay they use on EVERYTHING
@@mentat1341in your opinion*
"I'm not dying." - What an endorsement!
Old Bay seasoning is practically a must-have in any kitchen in Baltimore. It's AMAZING on fried or roasted potatoes!
Love to see them try a Chico stick... I love them!!!!
Old school candy that stands the test of time.
I just tried one of those...stale AF. Disappointing.
George, you missed by a couple of hundred miles. Martha's Vineyard is where the Massholes are. Old Bay seasoning is from Maryland.
No puffin'.
We use it in New England as well.
Dermots face at the beginning His worst nightmare 😂 but him and George had me laughing all the way through They are good together
I'll watch anything Lena is in. With that said, boiled peanuts are pretty good. You all should go to the gulf coast for the crawfish festivals.
I totally agree with your first sentence. 😁
An excellent food oddity to inflict on our friends - the levels of disgust and disappointment were hilarious. Only Dr. Sarina would approve that much roughage though....
Thanks for the laughs as always!
I'm wearing my shirt similar to Colin's that I've had for several years!!!
Road side stands along the highway in SC and GA (USA) sell peanuts in all forms. Fried, boiled, roasted. Cheap snack food of the south
You know, in the southern United States, the peanut shells are usually fed to the 🐖
The fry burns the fibers off of the shells which makes them perfectly edible.
Ever since I moved to the Carolinas, these things are my new favorite snack. The Cajun ones especially.
From the southern U.S. and never saw these until I moved to Memphis (many years ago). I love them.
Grew up in Florida and we ate the shell and all.
You love nuts?
I’m from MS and this is new to me as well
@@revtoyota those were the nasty boiled peanuts.
I had plenty of boiled as well. I grew up just down the road from a place that did a variety of peanut products. Boiled, roasted, salted shelled, butters, and so on. Its a great source of fiber. 😂 @@jlambe19

*DERMOT'S* LOVE of all things peanut just makes me happy!!!
For some reason, I have not gotten notifications from y’all in so long. I thought you stopped posting videos I didn’t even check.
Nope, we've always been posting, still every Monday, Wednesday and Friday - maybe double check your notification settings?
Hmm, must be some TH-cam glitch with the notifs as we've still been posting content. 😎
@@TheTRYChannel I have full notifications set for your channel. They must be buffering the notifications again like they do sometimes on TH-cam. That sucks I’ll make sure I check in from now on.
Same. Never get notifications. Have to seek the videos out.
I get notifications
Normal people suck on the shell for the taste then crack it open and eat the peanuts Uncle Bud has lost his mind lol.
That product telling you to eat the shell and all has got to be the biggest troll of all time. Just because you * can * eat the shell, doesn't mean you should. 😂😂😂
Then their is no point in the product as the shell is the only thing that is either fried or that has flavoring on it
I like eating the shell. High in fiber!
The shell is delicious.
Like one of them said it is like eating the husky trunk of a palm tree.
Amen!!!!
Old Bay on peanuts is fantastic. I buy a different brand of them than Uncle Buds, but fried and boiled peanuts are one of my favorite things I've discovered since moving to South Carolina!
Dermot and the old suck and chuck is hilarious!
Poor Dermont is so confused
"suck and chuck" 😏😏😏
In Honor of Clare's pregnancy , i think that the Try Channel should do another wierd food cravings video ! 💚🧡💚🧡
She's pregnant?🎉❤
Or make everyone try whatever she has a craving for.
@@jimsvideos7201exactly!
@@moonsun6161she is! They announced it in Sunday's video. She's got a little bump going 🎉🎉🎉
I'm from Virginia (in the US) and I've NEVER heard of anyone around here eating the peanut shell. We eat raw peanuts, roasted peanuts, boiled peanuts, peanut soup, peanut pie, whatever... but we take them out of the shell first!!!
I myself am from VA and everyone in my family eats the shell. Maybe it's a southern VA thing.
When I observe squirrels eating peanuts, they only eat the peanuts themselves, same with Bluejays. 😎
I can for one, confirm that deep frying wont make things edible. like 20 some years ago when I was a young pastry chef I battered and deep fried a co workers car keys, and they were in fact not edible after the process
I am with Sean & Lena on these
Lena - Into the Pain sounds like her debut album. Lol
Dermot throwing the peanuts 🥜 on the floor with such rage was too good. 😂 10:15
Any video with Lena is a video worthy of a watch.
Agreed
she's adorable
So glad seeing Lena here again. Just the cutest girl !! I miss Justine, Maybe she's holding out for more Durian try's. Always a good time here.
She's got a show on RTE
@LindaC616 what is RTE?

Who else is shocked Dermot and George did not make a joke about putting Uncle Bud’s nuts in their mouth?
I like to eat the shells. Am I weird?!💕
Me too 🫣
Same! 😋
Dermot and George for a peanut episode. We didn't expect they'd like them, did we?
Deep fried peanuts "WITHOUT THE FUCKING SHELL" sound really good.
@thetrychannel you absolutely CAN eat peanut shells. Its probably the best part of a peanut. They must be the salted shells of course but you absolutely can and should eat them as they are good for you, just more fiber to your diet. Ive done it for 40 years. Love the salted shells.
I ate some once. It felt like I was crapping hay once they passed through. I don't think you can get more fiber in any other food out there.
everyone , EVERYONE i know eats them shell and all . Lena has the biggest balls in this shoot.;
"I mean I'm not dying..." LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😂
Looks like you have a sticky key there…get a bit excited eh?
You should try boiled peanuts. It’s a southern delicacy. You eat shells and all, but they are soft and salty.
YES BOILED PEANUTS FOR THE WIN!🙌🏻
Spicy boiled peanuts please
And have Dermot and George in it?
"Delicacy"? Like possum chitterlins???
I think they did.
I would have such a mental block to eating the shell.i don't know if I could do it. Good on all of you for just doing it.
Once you get used to it, it's not bad. I eat the shells on normal roasted peanuts, too, if I'm not in the mood for cracking em or if I don't have something to discard shells in nearby. It's only unpleasant for the first few, then you get used to it.
Poor Dermot. :)
In all fairness... Martha's Vineyard is expensive af. And I'm from Massachusetts, I KNOW expensive.
I live in Maryland and we put Old Bay in literally everything. We even have Old Bay ice cream. We're deranged.
When he mentioned old bays and strippers I thought. “Honestly, that sounds like something we’d do.”
These things were all over the truck stops and c-stores last summer but rarely see them now. Eating peanut shells just didn't quite catch on the way Uncle Bud had hoped.
Yeah USA here, nope not eating a shell!
Dermot... I sent those, and I specifically asked that you try them! George, I'm sorry.
😅😅
"They have to be from the Monkey Nuts region of France to be called Monkey Nuts." Good one.
I grew up in southern Georgia. Fried peanuts were a normal thing for us; but I’ve never seen the shell fried with them.
Peanuts, deep-fried in peanut oil.
This just sounds wrong.
Today we learned Lena has a dark/kinky side. Lol #LetYourFreakFlagFly (Its Okay, I'm voyeuristic, myself. #YourSecretIsSafeWithMe 😉)
Just so you know while you can eat peanut shells, there are some concerns...
Intestinal Blockage Concerns
Eating peanut shells may provide fiber, but they can also interfere with normal digestive function. Peanut shells can accumulate in the gastrointestinal tract. Often, the buildup of foreign matter causes stomach distress and creates a mass that cannot pass through the intestines.referred to as a bezoar, the term typically relates to ingesting hair or fibers. However, it also applies to a collection of any consumed material that lodges in the abdomen. According to Mayo Clinic, in extreme cases, surgery may be required to remove a bezoar.
Beware of Pesticide Contamination
A hidden danger of eating peanut shells concerns use of pesticides during cultivation. Peanut farmers expect consumers to discard the shells. Peanut farmers employ crop rotation as one method of disease control.
However, fungal disease can cause extensive crop damage and typically necessitates the use of chemical pesticides. According to Feedipedia, peanuts are particularly vulnerable to the fungi Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus that are known to cause cancer in humans. The easiest way to avoid chemical contaminants is to avoid eating peanut shells.
I'm southern...never heard of fried peanuts. Boiled of course... I'd eat these...but not the shell.
Born in the south too and not a boiled peanut lover......
Exactly! I'm southern as well and we deep fry everything but peanuts I've never seen 😂
Dermot ooh and George!
they put Old Bay on French fries too.
So much whining 😂, I’ve never tried this brand but fried peanuts with the shells are great
Im of Irish ancestry but American born I've never heard of or eaten deep fried peanuts especially with the shells 🤮 !
Your weak constitution has been noted.
Wrong and wrong even unfried peanuts you can eat the shells adds fiber just gotta chew really well and not be an idiot.
Someone told me to eat the whole peanut, shell and all, when I was about 10 years-old and I fell for it. Glad to see I'm not the only one. LOL
I can't believe I just remembered the person's name. It a friend of my Mom named Marg Clark and she was a nurse. This is back out 50 years we're talking about here. I usually can't remember what I had for breakfast, nevermind five decades ago. Wow!!
Dermot can drink Horse Pi** but whines about peanuts in a shell LOL! Love this Channel!
Used to be able to find these where I live and they're amazing. Dermot and George are weak.
Love peanuts in the shell! You just don’t want to do much of it, it can mess up your intestines.
You don't HAVE to eat the shell. I used to do that when I was a kid but when you are an adult you should know better.
Dermot's in a PEANUT shoot? It's been years!
The fact that he's never been to Martha's Vineyard but spot on mimicry of the 60 year old broad out there on the cape sounded like he's live next door to her for 40 of those years lmfao CHEFS KISS!!!
I'm from Connecticut one state away but the blue bloods here are the ones that go to the cape for the summer lmfao!
Why would you even want to eat the bloody peanut shell?
Makes me wonder how they'd react to boiled peanuts.
Ironically, my Uncle Bud is allergic to peanuts..
1:52 Uncle Bud's new slogan: "That's totally edible!"
(3:03 Disclaimer: "You've misunderstood me. These are NOT edible.")
And boiled peanuts - a southern dish - slimy salty nuts
Now I wanna see em try boiled peanuts 😂 but… fresh ones
Poor Paddy, he looks like he's in pain eating these.
A tradition at my university in Atlanta Georgia is to put salted, boiled peanuts in a glass bottle of Coke, and sip/nibble during graduation. The sweet and salty is perfect.
I am originally from Maryland old bay is a specialty for steam, crabs invented in Maryland
Waay back in the day, when i had teeth, I would always eat the shell and all. Same with sunflower seeds. That way, I didn't have a mess to clean.
That's how I was raised too
You suck off the flavor, crack it open with your back teeth, work out the peanuts, eat them, spit the shell. Baseball games are the best place for shelled peanuts. Sunflower seeds the same!
That makes sense.
Except Baseball.
"That was my clown name." Which is why George didn't get booked for children's parties.
Came to see if anyone else picked up on that
“ I mean I’m not dying” 😂😂😂 Paddy
"The pumpkin spice latte of peanuts." What a description!!
Lena & Seán were the only ones enjoying the peanuts because they were taking some of them out of the shells. Eating peanut shells may provide fiber, but they can also interfere with normal digestive function. Peanut shells can accumulate in the gastrointestinal tract. Often, the buildup of foreign matter causes stomach distress and creates a mass that cannot pass through the intestines.
But frying breaks the fibers down… did you miss the part about them being fried?
I'm 67 y.o. and eat the shell all of the time and never had a problem.
Sometimes i buy roasted sake pumpkin seeds and have problems with those shells. Not a pleasant eating experience
And doesn't Dermot have some sort of GI condition?
@@LindaC616 he may have said he has ibs or lactose intolerance
We always ate the shells on regular peanuts .
Just Stop complaining and eat!!
These are 6 of my favorite Tryers. But I just adore Lena so much.
Southern American here. I've never heard off eating the shell ... period
This was hilarious! Especially Darren; “the monkey nut region of France” killed me!
Lena and Sean are the MVPs of this video.
I don't know about deep fried peanuts, but here in the Southern United States, we have boiled peanuts. They either come salted or with Cajun seasoning, they are slow cooked to the point where you can eat some of the shells and the peanuts taste like beans almost
Well. . . peanuts ARE beans 😂
@@karert1 well I know they are, just saying the boiled peanuts really bring home that bean flavor
I'm in the U.S. Eating peanuts with the shell on, is called Elephant Style.
I've never heard that but it makes so much sense! Thanks! Elephants for the win!!
You've broken Paddy. 😂
I think we need a follow up video for after the peanuts leave the body. 😳
Eat the shell?!?!?!?
