INA219 - And Why Libraries And Examples Can Be Confusing

- In this video I go over the magnificent INA219 module and the less-than-stellar Adafruit example code for it. I managed to completely prune out all of the code that doesn't need to be in it and just get the basic thing working. I suggest you give it a shot on your Uno, Pro Mini, Nano or Mega and see if you can get it working too!
Here is the code:

The resistor on the board “R100” is 0.1 ohms. If you remove it and replace it with a different value you can change the current measuring range of the board. The accuracy of the current measurement depends on knowing the exact value of the shunt resistor - although it’s marked 0.1 ohms its value is probably a little different. A good library will allow you to specify the exact shunt resistance or you can make a manual correction yourself in the code.
Hi from a code monkey! Nice to see you are making progress coding.
nice video, very helpful with your explaination of the coding I like you can get confused with code:-)
I’m enjoying your I2C vids at the moment.
Thank you sir
very nice. thanks
Will it be able to pickup a current as small as 0.1 mA ? I don't need it to be accurate, just to display some steady value.
It would yeah
R100 is that 0.1 ohm ? looks like a shunt
It is indeed a 100mOhm shunt
