    Please please please make a video on the different types of shaft materials available on a speargun. It is very essential to know the different materials and their durability as well as strengths. Not to forget their specific uses. There is not a single video on the entire TH-cam platform mentioning the various types steels that are used for shafts available in the market.

    Nautilus, I have an Ab Biller 42, I hate the screw on tip shaft that comes with the gun. Is there an alternative single flopper shaft (no screw on tip) that I can get for this gun? Please advise, thanks much in advance!

      They make a shaft called the Floridian you can get that does not use a tip.... look it up :]

    what is the best size rubber band for a 8mm shaft? (150cm gun)

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jeez thats a big one... depends how many bands you would like to use. If only two bands at least 16mm at around 32-34" inch or so with short wishbones. If the barrel can handle 2x18mm bands at 34-36" inch also would be nice

    what is the best size shaft (8mm or 7mm) for a 130 - 140 cm gun..?

    • @SavageDragon999
      @SavageDragon999 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      a 7mm is too thin for a 130 cm. I'd take 7.5mm for 130cm and 8mm for 140

    I bought a couple of Salvimar Shaft, all I expected was it would be pure SS. but it arrives looks like magnetic, what I mean is the magnet bar do stick on it, let me know if this one rusts its model name is ASIA PACIFIC ALETTA ATLANTIS...Nice shaft though but not yet tried in the water I'm still making my speargun that will use to it.

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Will not rust, it is spring stainless steel and heat treated. pure SS would bend to easy and stay bent, no good.

    hi there Nautilus. i will like to know. i have both a 1,50m 6.75mm shaft for a inverted roller gun 110cm 3x 18mm robbers and a 1,30m 6.75mm shaft for my 100m hammerhead 2x 18mm robbers. i guest i made a mistake. the shafts are stainless steel MVD.
    will the shafts be overpowered? and will the shaft have the power to penetrate fish? and will they be yous less for me?

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little bit I would say at only 6.75mm thickness should be really around 7.5mm .... for the 100cm a shorter shaft like 130cm will flex less on release so maybe you will be ok there but no need for 18mm bands on 6.75mm shaft

    Why are the flappers so far back, it requires a lot of penetration for them to go thru the fish.

    • @NautilusSpearfishing
      @NautilusSpearfishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question...... Perhaps offers some advantage in the fish ripping off... not sure... might make a cool video :o

    Camera lense is crap. Watch your own video, can you see the distortion? Shafts look bent evwn before you bend them because the camera is crap.

      So what. He is using a wide angle go-to so he can get as much as possible in the shot. Good trade off if you ask me. What a dumb comment.
