Respect to the Great Lloyd Coxsone! Great interview and history. I would love to know why he said Luv Injection is the number 1 sound in England because I totally disagree. I wish the interviewer would’ve asked him to elaborate on his statement. Respect to the legend 👊🏾

Lloydie Coxsone's Sir Coxsone sound system was one of the best sound systems in Britain and became the second champion sound in Britain after the first champion sound system Duke Vin the Unbeaten champion from Ladbroke Grove,West London.

Why his father claim he took Toasting from America Dj when they weren’t it was just talking on mic…so he couldn’t have get that and that Toasting form already existed here in Jamaica! We need to clean up that mess. It’s circulating all over TH-cam and movies disrespecting Jamaican culture!
If this interview is old and he passed away no need to reply and I’ll retract it.

Sir is a title from French meaning 'lord' etc as someone before said in the comments and does not mean 'slave I remain ' so Lloydie is totally wrong about that.

    Lloyd you name Sir coxsone.
Sir don't mean slave I remain, rubbish. This is a French word. Meaning Lord it is a title.
Sir is a formal honorific address in English for men, derived from Sire in the High Middle Ages. Both are derived from the old French "Sieur" (Lord), brought to England by the French-speaking Normans, and which now exist in French only as part of "Monsieur", with the equivalent "My Lord" in English.
