I can get why the creatures from the Imagine Critters section aren't a bunch of humans or elves or what have you reimagined as bloomburrow animals, as you'd either have a weird disconnect between the art and the creature types or you'd have mechanically different versions of existing cards. You can get away with changing a planeswalker's art into an animal as they don't have creature types, but it's just weird to do it with creatures.
There is going to be SOMEONE out there making an EDH Rat Colony deck composed entirely of this new collector version, and I shudder to think of how crippling that would be financially.
A note on Scavenger's Talent at level 3, it's not just a "Sac 3, reanimate something", it's a "Sac 3, reanimate something, and mill target player for 6", since the level 2 mode will trigger on the three sacrifice targets for the level 3 mode.

Its very mana intensive, but you can cast a bunch of spells at instant speed with Festival of Embers and then sacrifice it in response to have them resolve and hit the graveyard. Weird corner case, but that does give it some combo potential
I think Frogs is the deck mightcaller is worse in. Frogs very much feel like a control tribe and mightcaller doesn't support that gameplan at all. I also don't think there's a reason to go all-in on frogs like the other tribes. You'll certainly put multiple frogs in your deck if you're going for a bounce game plan since they work well together, but I think there are better blink targets and blink enablers in standard that you'll use over the weaker frogs. While in mice you'll be playing worse cards than generically good ones BECAUSE they're mice.
frogs, and therefore simic, are going to be basically unplayable not only in standard, but even in limited. you'll end up with a critical mass on frogs and cards, in your hand, weakly doing nothing but putting more frogs and cards into your hand. Otters won't be good either. Too many creatures needed to make it a good spell slinger deck. Once again, aggro and go wide aggro has everything and fun decks have trash. *snore*

I feel like a major thing most people are forgetting about Portent of Calamity is that we'll still have a whole bunch of discounting effects in standard post-rotation, including Mindsplice Apparatus. So the cost issue isn't as big of a deal as people are thinking. Having Portent and maybe Flow of Knowledge can cover Sorcery, Witness Protection and One with the Multiverse can fill enchantments, your usual suite of counterspells for instants, Cityscape Leveler and Surge Engine cover creature and artifact (plus Mindsplice Apparatus ofc), and then finally lands are a given. The main issue is that while there's no shortage of Artifact Creatures to pull double duty, it looks like after rotation we'll have a whole 2 Enchantment Creatures for the same purpose and neither is in blue.
Problem with that is you are filling your deck with non-instant/sorcery cards while playing mindsplice apparatus. Furthermore, why do you care about the free spell if you have a massive discount from Apparatus already? Then a simple draw spell might just be better.

Eluge, the Shoreless Sea, could be a card for modern merfolk in the side board. we already play so many counter spells. this pairs well with harbinger of the seas

I was thinking about Warren Soultrader because you kind of get double mill triggers for the treasure and the creature sac if you have something like Gravecrawler out. Of course you lose a bunch of life repeating that but I think you could mill an opponent before killing yourself.
Kitsa might literally be vintage playable in Lurrus UBx... It gives you grind power with looting and replayability of pitching things that Lurrus can recast, it's recastable WITH Lurrus itself, Prowess triggers off Moxen meaning synergy with Hurkyl's Recall and PO and easier to turn on the copy effect, and then if you manage to hit the ceiling of copying an Ancestral or Time Walk you're basically just styling on your opponent at that point. Oh and it pitches to Force.

I don't know if that's relevant for anything, but was worth pointing it out.

The Blacksmith Class card is also good at being a 1 mana card thats both an enchantment and artifact, which could be helpful for powering up some effects that care about both of those like some of the NEO cards
Mycotryant specifies "permanent card" so the plan to sacrifice tokens to mill would work but the "get all the tokens back" won't trigger if you're only sacking tokens since they are "Permanents" but not "Permant cards"
portent is good in prowess since it can double trigger prowess. I would play it with the kitsa and also with spells that can cast other spells. could be a solid combo enabler.
Patchwork Banner is great in a kindred deck. Heraldic Banner is good in mono-colored decks that aren't kindred (or at least heavily one creature color over another)
Could you stack a bunch of instants (maybe starting with a sorcery) with Festival of Embers, then sac the Festival so everything goes to your graveyard instead?
I'm really curious if a legit tier tribal deck(or hopefully multiple) develops out of Bloomburrow. These tribes are not common creature types so it'll have to be pretty pushed, and in theory, only gets 1 set to power them up(BB)
I'd have to point out one thing. With Portent of Calamity you didn't take into account Magus Lucea Kane and her ability to copy this spell multiple times. This can really put this over the top when used right.
Festival of embers is expensive but hear me out. If you have eluge in play and 5 lands...there's an instant or sorcery from bloomburrow that lets you blink a creature for 1 blue. If you have 2 of these in hand.. you can blink Eluge 4 times for almost nothing..reducing spell cost by 5 blue or colorless. Not bad!!!
I think where eluge is gonna be good in a storm or a prowess deck, you just have a bunch of blue cantrips and the eluge, it enters the battlefield all of them are free, then you storm off and win?
My issue with Scavenger's Talent is that the last trigger is an "IF you do", not a "WHEN you do". Were it a WHEN, you could mill yourself 6 more cards to find something spicier to pull out of the yard. But as is, you'd get something out of your yard before you'd even choose who to mill.
