Thanks for the much needed diversion...this was so calming. And yes, I remember that Burberry blush well. Just have a hard time wrapping my head around how the years have flown by!
It goes by too fast. my mother in law just texted me about Christmas plans and I have a hard time accepting the fact that it’s almost Christmas!! everything is catching me off guard this year 🙂↕️🙂↕️
I recommend reevaluating the Chanel loose setting powder 😉 Initially, I shared your reservations, but now I swear by it 😌 Even if Givenchy reverts to their original formula, Chanel remains superior for my normal skin at 46 🤗
Ok I trust your opinion!! it has literally been YEARS since I had the Chanel so I should keep an open mind lol. How do you use it under the eyes? With a brush or a powder puff?
My preferred technique involves layering Chanel's powder (10 or 20) over Dior stick foundation (2n) with a pink Beauty Blender puff under the eyes and Lancôme No 5 brush elsewhere. Beautiful results! 😊 Consequently, I'm letting go of my Givenchy backup on Mercari 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Sandra, I also have a retired Burberry Earthy blush that I will never part with. Haha. I found that the Rituel De Fille cream blush in Eros gives me a similar effect. xo
I have the Dior compact you posted about in this video! I find the brown shade is similar to the hourglass ambient lighting palettes (not sure if you’ve used those), but it gives off a nice subtle glow! And the golden shade I sometimes use on my eyelids :) it’s really nice!
Just for info the highlighter in the Dior compact, looks beautiful on the eyes. It works well as a topper, but both also work well on the eyes as eyeshadow in case you are traveling. So you have your face and eyes covered in one 😍 Lastly thanks for a great video 😊
Loving your deeper hair color! It makes your eyes really pop. On the topic of Burberry, Nordstrom just started carrying their beauty line (lipsticks and complexion so far) and it sounds like customers aren't entirely impressed. They do still sell their blushes and highlighters on the Burberry website and I'm *hoping* they're the same formula, made in the same factory, but I'm not sure. My Burberry blushes aren't quite as old as yours and they're still kickin' so I still use them (and I have backups of Earthy and Tangerine). I wish I had a backup of Peony! It walked so that Dior's Rosy Glow could run. (Edit: One more thing! My nose *hates* complexion products but the Chanel N. 1 de Chanel Revitalizing Foundation sits very well on my nose. Sometimes I'll do my face entirely with another complexion product and use a small pump's worth just for my nose. I think the camellia oil helps it sit well there and hug the pores rather than sit on top).
Thank you!! I assume there was a change in manufacturing round the time they were sold - idk who owns them now but all I remember was that a makeup artist named Wendy Rowe was the creative director when they made all the products that made me fall in love with the brand! I need to check out that Chanel foundation - will be trying a sample once I finish my water fresh complexion touch!
@ I’m crazy about Wendy Rowe and her video tutorials for Burberry taught me how to do makeup! She was ahead of her time using cream and stick formulas. She walked so that so many of today’s brands could run. An absolute icon! Such a shame her reign couldn’t last forever.
Hey Sandra 🙂 Have you ever tried the Mac Harmony blush? To me it’s the perfect neutral blush that doesn’t lean warm… It’s the only blush I use these days, really. I love your content, I think I’ve been watching it for about 10 years!
I love luxury products, my favourite is a Chanel mascara that I used years ago and they probably don't make any more but it was super lovely. I've also had YSL eye liners in the past that were a beautiful soft powder liner. Just superb, I haven't looked into atm. I don't work full time so I don't buy them anymore. I've also had YSL lippies as well. Beautiful cream lipsticks - just love those. These days I only buy Clarins ( old habits died hard ) I can't help myself as I use to b a Clarins consultant. I still use Mac makeup and Charlotte Tilbury as I love that makeup ❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks for such a great video!!!!!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
sweet sweet makeup memories!! pale barley, almond, midnight brown!! I dropped and shattered my pale barley otherwise it would have been kept in my makeup memory box lol
Hi Sandra! Nice to see some oldies here. I remember I bought a Dior lipstick in the shade Incognito many years ago after hearing you rave about it. That color is discontinued now but I was wondering if you ever found a dupe for it? Ps. Looking forward to this year’s favourites video 😊
try Jones Road lip tint in Nude Mauve! also Dior launched some new shades of their addict lipsticks that look promising - namely the shades Beige Oblique and Atelier
I heard Makeup By Mario loose powder is VERY similar to the Givenchy one! I just ordered it in the Sephora sale😄 so we'll see how it goes. But heard really good things about and how it compares to the old Givenchy powder!☺
I wonder if MAC harmony might work similarly to that blush? I remember seeing some people back in the day wear it as a very neutral blush - it definitely didn't translate well on my skin tone for that, though. They also have some version of it in the glowplay formula that might be worth looking into if you pass by a counter.
So my friend Dena went to swatch all the Glow Play blushes the other day because she’s also an Armani Neo Nude lover and sadly nothing QUITE fit the bill 😩🥲 but the search goes on!!
That’s so funny. I noticed myself doing the EXACT SAME THING with the rest of my original formula Prisme Libre powder. Shade 3 was chefs freaking kiss. I’m so sad they changed it. 😭 please keep up all updated if you ever find a worthy replacement.
I just got the new makeup by Mario powder because curiosity was killing me andddd I don’t love it 🥲 it makes me look ANCIENT under the eyes lol not even remotely close to the Givenchy. It’s fine for the t-zone though
@ 🥹 that stinks. I recently purchased Westman Atilier’s Vital Pressed Powder in shade pink bubble during the Sephora sale and, it’s nice under the eyes. But I tried it side by side with the original Prisme Libre and it’s just not as good. :/ big sigh… it really isn’t a bad product, I think I’d be much more pleased with it if I didn’t know a formula like the old PL existed. lol.
@@earlgreyknits1178 i like the vital pressed powder too - i have it in the shade creme and it's great for setting my t-zone in the winter when i don't really need oil control. i like how subtle and skin-like it is, not powdery at all. but it doesn't have that special smoothing effect that the givenchy had under the eyes!
I'm with you on the hunt for the perfect neutral brown blush, I don't have anything to recommend unfortunately. If you do find something, or good alternatives please do a video on it. Wishing you a great day! :-)
The sponge gives a more sheer skin-like look so I do prefer it but the brush blends it faster so it all depends on how much time I have to get ready lol
@@ttsandra I think mine is still intact because other things came out and it went to the back of my drawer so it didn’t get overused after my initial frenzy. I have that same drawer of forever keepers!

Underneath my Dior Stick Foundation, I layer Ilia Face Milk and Elta MD sunscreen for hydrated, protected skin.
Hi Sandra! Try the Mac glow play blush in true harmony for an “almost nothing” blush - I think you’ll love it!
Dior blush and highlighter .. yes .. use the highlighter on your eyes❤
Hi Sandra, I also have a retired Burberry Earthy blush that I will never part with. Haha. I found that the Rituel De Fille cream blush in Eros gives me a similar effect. xo
Thanks for sharing!! One of my local beauty boutiques recently started carrying Rituel De Fille so I’m excited to check it out 🙂🙂
@@ttsandra Great! Really hoping it works for you. ;)
I look forward to you and your bestie's yearly perfume round up!
I am too!!
love to see these old faves
Me too, brings me so much joy to shop my stash!!

Ooooh I do like the ambient powder formula! so it’s a bit more sheer?

Oh I can’t believe it has passed 12 years since you bought your Burberry blush I bought mine because of your recommendation ❤
I can’t believe it’s been that long either!! So crazy!
Those Chanel lipsticks are my go to for occasions where you want long lasting color, worn them to all my kids weddings.
They really are the best
LOVE the lip combo! 👄💄
Thank you!!
I wore the Chanel stain in sensual rose for my wedding day, I love it so much ❤
It’s so beautiful!!
Beautiful picks! That Burberry blush looks stunning, it reminds me of Mac True Harmony. The Glow Play line is a cream/powder hybrid though
I like a cream/powder hybrid formula too!
This was a treat to watch. Congratulations on the Idyl partnership. At this point I will really only consider lab-grown 💎s. ❤
Thank you!! yes same. Lab grown (or vintage) is wonderful 💖
Your look is just so classy 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you my friend 💖💖

Classics!! Chanel waterproof eyeliners were also an old fave - although now we have sooo many other options too
Hi there, when you run out of the givenchy I’d recommend the Saie airset powder, the Ami Cole one is nice too!
Thank you!!
I love Idyl products so much! You look beautiful❤️
Thank you so much!! and also I bought the Prada eyeshadow quad because of you 💖
I just thought about Burberry Earthy blush yesterday when I pulled out Pale Barley to try to dupe it!❤

Hello Sandra, try Manasi 7 Manketti for a neutral cream no blush blush. It’s an interesting makeup company from Sweden
Curious about it since I saw Lisa Eldridge talk about them!! as long as it’s not a dewy blush I’m interested lol

LOL I could never find the armani cream blush! If you find that dior bronzer is similar, please let us know!
I don’t even understand why they got rid of it, the neo nude line was just so underrated 🥲🥲
Use the powder highlighter as a moving lid color. GET IT😂
A shimmery lid color to last me for the next 100 years 😂😂
@ttsandra 🤣
Hi Sandra, I love the eyeshadow on you. Really pretty. What color is the WA concealer? Thank you, have a great day
I use shade L4 in the westman concealer!
Thank you. Btw, my favorite Chanel liquid lip was tender beige. Oddly enough it worked great for my very pigmented lips.
I'm with you on the hunt for the perfect neutral brown blush, I don't have anything to recommend unfortunately. If you do find something, or good alternatives please do a video on it. Wishing you a great day! :-)
Absolutely, the search continues!! lol
I've never seen more beautiful cheekbones than yours!
Thanks so much 💖
Do you find the dior stick foundation blends better with the sponge? I find I overdo it easily with a brush.
The sponge gives a more sheer skin-like look so I do prefer it but the brush blends it faster so it all depends on how much time I have to get ready lol
The Dior duo is much cooler (and paler) than the photo. It’s more of a contouring kind of shade. Nothing like the Armani in my opinion.
I appreciate the feedback!! Hard to tell from photos
I may or may not still have Earthy.. and still use it.. 🫢🫥
I am jealous!! I tried to use mine but the pigment has gone off or something because it doesn’t show up on my cheeks at all 😭😭

I will never find another blush quite like Burberry earthy 🥲🥲 I miss it
Truly such a special shade, I wish Hermes did a shade like that because formula-wise their blushes are a lot like the Burberry blushes
@ I didn’t know that! I’ll keep an eye out and put good thoughts into the universe 😅😅
