Slobodan Milosevic was a dictator and a murderer, but he was not genocidal. Genocides in that war were committed by Muslims in, for example, the village of Kravice, or by Croats during Operation Storm. A war crime occurred in Srebrenica, NOT genocide. It is not the same. Don't lie. Learn first what was happening there! You can't talk about genocide if women, children and old people were sent to safety by the Serbs and no one lost a hair on their head. Only military able-bodied Muslims were killed in Srebrenica, BUT for a good reason! Learn what the reason was and what the UN's responsibility was for making it happen! And the Serbs warned them for months!! It was a war crime because they were killed without trial but that was not a genocide! Learn the definition! And the Serbs didn't start that war! Also, the story about the Red Berets is not that simple! Study it a little better!
And let's be clear, I am NOT a fan of Slobodan Milosevic. I hate him because he took the best years of my life. I was a fan of Djindjic because he seemed like a much better politician than anyone I've ever seen or heard! A man who looked to the future, not the past. To progress, not stagnation! But the truth is the truth, and I hate lies!

@MichalKolac It's also a matter of needing to have an enticing and engaging title, sadly, to game the algorithm. His videos are insanely well made, so pleasing to watch and enjoy, and they keep you wanting to watch more and learn more. But the way TH-cam is made up, it's just - again, sadly - necessary to bring people in. You can make the greatest video on the planet hitting all the marks, but if nobody watches it, you're shit out of luck.

One female journalist who wrote about war and killings of individuals by special forces unit, was called on the phone by commander of that unit, and told that she is next on the list, and than she was found dead from a shotgun wound. Police didn't do a proper investigation, and called it a suicide.

Great video, as always. We Serbians still get this sour taste in our mouths when we think about what our country could have looked like if Djindjić had survived.
Just a few points for the sake of accuracy:
-Dušan Spasojević was not called "Duke", but rather "Duća". I am guessing you thought it is analogous to duce, which means duke in Italian, but it is not related.
-Also Spasojević was not the only leader of the Zemun clan. There was also Mile Luković "Kum" or translated "Godfather".
-Both of them were killed in an attempt to arrest them under still debated circumstances.
-Zemun clan itself was not the powerhouse during the 90s as the video suggests. They only became strong after the assassination of another war criminal, gangster and the de facto leader of the Serbian underworld Željko Ražnatović "Arkan". With the help of "Legion" and his JSO and with the blessings of the Milošević regime the clan filled the power vacuum.
-Maybe the role of Koštunica and his party is underplayed. His cabinet had connections with the people from the clan and he openly sided with JSO during their rebellion. Also another huge political party Serbian Radical Party whose ex-members are the governing party today had ties to the clan and openly called for Djindjić's murder. The whole political background part of the assassination was never fully investigated and that is the real mystery of the whole story.

Just one inaccuracy: "Duke" in italian is "Duca" (pronounced /Duka/). "Duce" (/Duche/), in its modern meaning, is related only to Mussolini (although both words have the same origin of meaning "Leader, Comander").

Zoran Đinđić is really a victim of organized crime in then-Serbia, and the organized crime I am talking about was the entire government of FR Yugoslavia (later Serbia and Montenegro). He is one of many victims of the GRU sponsored regime which ruled in Serbia from 1991 to even this day, but much less than then. There are more instances of the government sponsored killings of those they deemed a threat to them. Only in the year 2000, FRY defense minister Pavle Bulatović, former member of Serbian presidency Ivan Stambolić, director of Jat airways Žika Petrović were all murdered in a government sponsored manhunt, solely because they all had dirt on Slobodan Milošević and his wife who was a GRU trained operative, a Russian implant to cause chaos in the Balkans for the 2nd time in the 20th century. While the mafia was definitely reduced to rubble after the operation Sabre in 2003, some elements which survived still work closely with the actual government of Serbia, which is loosely a continuation of Miloševićs regime, but much more tamed because Serbia is basically surrounded by western dominance.

To understand Serbia you should look at Russia. The Serbs who supported Milosevic back in the 90’s , still support his political Son today’s (Serbian President) at the time his minister of Propaganda Vucic.. And worth to mention, Serbia has always been a Pro Russia and a Pro Kremlin country.

Serbia has relationship with Russia for centuries. Similar genes, similar language, same religion... not to mention all the times the Russians helped Serbia in historical wars (WW2, WW1, Ottoman, etc). Its not some new, unusual or unfortunate fact that Serbia and Russia are allies.

Well Russia always helps Serbia while NATO destroyed our country (I don't deny war crimes, but our civilian infrastructure was destroyed because Yugoslavia was economic rival to western companies and NATO needed a base in Balkans), figures which side we are on

That part is incorrect. In a rally in Banja Luka in 1996, Đinđić railed against Yugoslavianism and communism. He never railed against Serbian nationalism and even called for a Serbian nation state, which Milošević opposed, interestingly enough (can be explained because Milošević led the SPS and was seen as the inheritor of the communist party).
His issue was that the gov't used the fact he was educated in Germany (keep in mind, Germany isn't described well in our history books, moreso like how Poland describes them than the US or UK) to accuse him of being a German agent, him being pro-European (as noted), and because up until then, the SPO was seen as a larger opposition party, in a country where it is frequent to vote for the largest opposition party.

Cult of his personality is gaining popularity as of now. Idk what will come of the protests but I know he would be proud of us

This no longer comes as any surprise any more, as the murder by the Archduke Ferdinand of Austria and his wife by a Serbian nationalist sparked World War I in 1914 - it was also said that even before the rise of Lenin in Russia before 1917 it was deemed by those in power that the peoples of Russia and Eastern Europe have always needed “strong leadership” (dictatorship/autocracy) whether that was by the Russian Czars or by the Communists in the Soviet Union and afterwards and this was used to justify all sorts of horrific oppression - here in the west, as we did during Covid, we experienced our first taste of Mafia-based global communism (which the Globalist Deep State are a type of communist mafia) and this is what we here in the west were warned about many times by people from Eastern Europe, given their horrific experiences under the despised communist system going back several generations, as they can see impending communism coming a mile off - our biggest threats to democracy and freedom (civilisation) now is not just from the Globalist Deep State, it is also from regimes like the CCP and North Korea, as well as from certain Islamic regimes which are seen as both communist and fascist in the ways in which they want to impose Islamic Sharia law and quite rightly, the peoples of Eastern Europe outside of Russia and Ukraine are now the greatest and bravest defenders of real freedom and true democracy

I’ve seen how the problem with illegal drugs gangs similar to the mafia got so bad in some South American countries that the leaders of those countries had to deploy the Millitary to deal with them, given the level of firepower that they had amassed to protect their criminal empires - it was almost like with some Islamic tribal warlords in the Middle East, leaving the leaders of those countries with no other option but to involve the milltary and armed police in some way

I knew it was just going to be another “people in the government disagreed with a high official so they off’d him. nothing different.” but when the title reads “mafia kills the prime minister” that makes me click the video. just my 2 cents.

A famous american general once said war is hell. But to be honest, id rather be in hell than war. Hell is full of guilty people, war has innocent people, men women and children suffer from war. They die in war but hell....everyone there deserves to be in hell, but the innocent dont deserve the fate war brings.
So war is worse than hell....

It has a lot of mystery. Then president Kostunica supported JSO rebellion. Political background of the assasination is still uknown, the entire operation Sabre was canceled before they could explore it in entirety. Also, a lot of people arrested during the Sabre later went on to become government officials, ie Rade Bulatovic. He was arrested when he was an advisor to Kostunica as a guy who knew about ghe assasination, but in 2004 when Kostunica became PM, he was placed as a head of state security. There is still a lot of mystery. Maybe not too much here, since this video is just an overview of the entire story

More so "young" as a republic. Usually when countries change regime and break away from a union, they are considered as "young". Serbia used to be a kingdom before the creation of Yugoslavia. It's a bit of arguing semantics, I highly doubt he thought that Serbia only appeared as a country after the breakup of Yugoslavia.

    • @fonburg
      @fonburg 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@StivKobra Could be, but then he should've said republic and Serbia didn't break away from a union, but intended to keep it. Nevertheless, this is only a minor mistake in the whole video, so it doesn't really matter that much.

Your info on this is very bad, even the little things like the Djindjic’s leg being in a cast. There was no soccer injury, it was from a car accident a week or so before the shooting, later it was revealed that it wasn’t an accident but the first assasination attempt. One of his opponents even commented that Tito (former Yugoslav leader) also had problems with his leg before dying, implying the same fate will happen to Djindjic
