Really sad...I loved her red dress...very pretty. I suppose it's showing us the reality of this kind of love. She sees the fantasy, and we get to see the ugly objectivity of the situation...she sees a perfect and amazing man, and we get to see the normal, middle aged guy that photographs vericose veins for a living. He must be really good at disillusioning women (perhaps he also relies and engages in the same level of fantasy in his relationships as the lead character) because his new girlfriend acts like she's letting people in for a VIP, high profile event (already protective because she sees another woman) and she refers to him as "the maestro" (they clearly see him in a much grander light than reality), but we see a dank bar filled with senior citizens. Sometimes the act of loving someone is so fulfilling and happy, it can be more satisfying than coming to terms with reality - which is cold, and often ugly. A crush is fun to fantasize and daydream about, but a person has to keep themselves in check, otherwise it will cause great and unnecessary pain. With a heart and spirit like that, she could of made the world her oyster and found someone (and various people over the course of her life) that would sweep her off of her feet. Living for love is something she should have continued doing, just not in the way she expected.

it's very typical german. there are fotos near a hospital of babies just during birth and after before they are wiped. the fotos are wall sized, and quite disgusting, but in the name of some type of art.
