3 years ago I had to do the sacrifice by myself on Eid - ul - Adha. I was not mentally strong enough to do it. So, the day before Eid, I decided to watch a lot of sacrificial videos to strengthen myself. Then, I came across to this video.Recited the dua before sacrificing and the same thing happened. Fun Fact: Muslims are not allowed/ prohibited to eat the meat from the animal that were not slaughtered in the Islamic way (just like in the video u just watched). It's Haram for us to eat meat that aren't slaughtered in Islamic way..

Allah Says In Surat Yaseen :
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَا أَنْعَامًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُونَ (71) وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ (72
wich means :
(71) Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?
(72) And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.
So The Word Used Here Is Grazing Livestock . wich means that the type of animals that God has tamed to us are Camels , Cows ,Sheep , and goats , this is what we call الانعام , Grazing Livestock , so I think that words is working just for this type of animals , But Allah Knows ^^

Bismillah(in the name of Allah) , Muslims say it whenever they start something.
Islam is only deen(religion) that make someone pure what is true.
I was involved in documenting a korban exercise (annual islamic slaughtering of animals on Eidul Adha to distribute the meat to the poor in the community) in Singapore over a decade ago and learned so much more abt what is halal (lawful in islam). Apparently, it is not just the method of slaughtering but just as important as that, is the humane treatment of the animal throughout its life prior to the slaughter. The animal must be free-ranging, not packed in warehouse, they have to be fed well, etc, Any animal found with deformity, like blindness, insanity (mad cow), any form of retardation (even a broken horn) will not be fit for halal slaughter. During the actual slaughter itself, the animal will not be shown any evidence of prior slaughter (like blood or the lifeless body of the earlier animal that was slaughtered, etc). The animal will be given a drink of water and be kept calm and peaceful. Then when it is in total state of submission, a very, very sharp knife will be used to sever its jugular/carotid veins in one swift motion. This is scientifically-proven to be painless. The Jews invoke the Name of God in its slaughter too (kosher) but they don't place as much emphasis on the animal's mental anguish. My knowledge on this matter is not exhaustive, just based on observation and lots of questioning. God Knows Best.

Spade Caller Please allow me to disagree as to my knowledge the term halal is only used to explain the slaughtering method by itself - as to the details and conditions u mentioned I believe are only specific to the annual event Hajj or Pilgrimage "not Halal but Adhuya"

halal means lawful in islam. as far as slaughtering go, the very minimal is in the invocation of God's Name. That's why you would find 'halal' foie gras, which the majority of muslims would argue that act of force-feeding the goise itself is cruel, therefore haram. there are many despicable acts in the poultry and even dairy industries that have made many people vegans. Islam points the (right) way to the treatment, slaughter and consumption of these animals. We can agree to disagree the 'halal-ness' of meat insofar that it has been slaughtered in God's Name despite its (mal)treatment prior to it but i believe it has to be holistic. wAllahu 'alam (God Knows Best).
another eg: if someone steals a goat and slaughter it in God's Name ... no matter how eloquent his recitation is or how well he treated the goat beforehand ... its meat can never be halal for him to consume. wAllahu 'alam

No, it’s impossible because the elephant is HARAM, therefore it will never submit itself. Even if it was a baby elephant. Allah created it to serve a different purpose(s).
