Thanks Todd. I studied most of the router bases on the internet and cherry picked. There was a base by Luthiers Mercatile that I really liked, but the plunge mechanism was beyond my abilities and equipment to make. Luthiers tool sites are good for this kind of thing.
Well engineered mate. I can see you know your stuff and consistently think the job through. You're an inspiration. I'm also impressed by how much you respond to the enquiries of your viewers. TH-cam is ideal for that kind of quick 'conversation' but is seldom used. Thanks mate and keep up this terrific work.
Excellent engineering and video Mike! Lots of thought went into the design

Thanks Mark. I'm also finding that the video process is making me think through the the making process more clearly, so it's a win win.
I like this little device, I’ve got a trim router something like it might just be the ticket
Thanks Linda. I have a simple carving base for a trim router, but this one is much more useful for small work.
@ yeah a base is great for stability but I love this. A magnifying glass 🔍 for an old woman is certainly a terrific idea.
Brilliant
Thank you.
that’s a great setup
Thanks Joe. It still needs better lighting (i.e. light from both sides), but apart from that it works great.
@ that magnifying glass is a great idea I could definitely benefit from incorporating those for myself 🤓
