I don’t think so, people respect the R6 because of its glory days in Moto GP. Many Championships have been won with the 6, yes they have been discontinued but only for civilian use. The Moto GP will keep making, using and servicing them for years to come. I want an R6 more than an R1 because you can still beat an R1 and have more fun actually going through gears.

Try getting a bike with stability control, I know the older bikes are cheaper but it takes more skill to ride them because of the no ABS etc. for a beginner you should look into a 300 or 450
