Hi I thought I already posted this here but I will try again. I have an experiment that would actually be very meaningful regarding ball vs pancake (a.e. Projection). On the day the day the sun is traveling across the equator (equinox), or any time the sun is in the Southern Hemisphere , if you are on/near the equator, you will see vastly different pathing of the sun, if you are on ball or pancake. If you are on a ball, on the equinox, the sun will appear to move in a straight line through the sky, From east to west. On a pancake, on the equinox, the sun will appear curve/arch through the sky, starting from the east, moving southward till noonish, then back north as it continues westward. Again, very simple, just look at the pathing of the sun, relative to a person standing on earth. On or near the equator, a.e. equinox vs ball equinox. Really, anytime the sun is in the Southern Hemisphere, the sun should appear to path very differently, pending which model you are actually on. Sun ‘curving’ through sky or not? Can someone show this experiment done? Would love to see it. Thanks

That looks like a fascinating experiment in the making - or did it take place already, I'd love to see the video for it! It looks like possibly you're going to (or did) set up a long tube level to check for horizon dip. I've wanted to do that but never got that much tubing collected together LOL.
