Southern University’s Human Jukebox sits atop the HBCU Band Division I rankings after the first month of competition. I guess schools get paid to do these classics at these big stadius, but keep the games on campuses. It's where the students are. Much better atmosphere. Some rival games can be held at these stadiums like maybe Bethune vs Famu, Norfolk vs A & T or Southern vs Grambling at the La Superdome. Look at the sucess SU and Jackson State are having with their BoomBox Classic. It's held on campus.
I'm from Hastings, Fl I never heard of southern university tell you the truth and I never been to a FAMU home game either most people from Florida don't even leave the state

The hell you talking about? No one is getting excited about that marching to a spot in a design, turn to the stands and play a song some all of you PWI style bands do. High stepping precision drilling is superior to that play in place crp any day. Espn rankings for the 1st month of band of the year is out already. Go see the rankings and see what others outside of Baton Rouge think of our fields shows.

@@lala-ng7ccna.... su has always been known for their precision drilling....Haymer strayed away from it...Taylor is getting then back on track but he lacks creativity and his song selection sucks....just being honest. Southerns downfall are song selection and arrangements

I watched both BCU and Southern’s halftime shows. I want straighter lines in downfield drills. It makes a large band look bad on the field when lines are not straight. Both bands sound good, but of course, the Human Jukebox has more volume!❤

It was a little over 10k people in attendance
Ain’t nobody at that game to see them. They should’ve stayed on campus for that.
