Some people are just naturally overnight shift people. I’m retired after over twenty years of working mostly nights. After about a decade of trying to reset myself to a “normal” schedule, I’ve decided to find one that is a regular schedule for me.
I love and envy your fireplace! Your home is so beautiful, and I can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Loved this! We get to see behind the curtain. As far as donating dolls, I know CPS and DFACS are always in need of toys for needy families and for children who may get stuck in the office in between placements. Children's hospitals are also a great place to donate. ❤

The furniture finds were beautiful. i love what you've done with the chairs that go with the one you're currently working on. I've had those days when I'm looking for something and I've dug out piles of things and then find out what I'm looking for was out in the open all that time.

I too decorate using timeless furnishings (though I lean more on the traditional), but I have a guilty secret wish to do a bedroom in Hollywood glam like the mirrored end tables, etc. No surprise you have turned your artisan talents to furniture with such perfect results. ❤. Hextian, I can’t wait for a home tour when you’re done. You have such a unique style and aesthetic in your artistry. From what you’ve showed us in this video so far mixed with what we already see in your fashion and makeup for you and your dolls, I know that your place is going to scream rococo opulence with the perfect mix of drama and soft sophistication where needed. It’s going to be gorgeous!
I love what you’ve already done to the pieces you collected.
I’ve refurbished and reupholstered my great-abuela’s furniture set that was in a similar style (it was an ugly pee yellow so I wasn’t lucky on the color and had to dye the fabric). I upcycled a sofa, love seat, two arm chairs, a settee, an ottoman, a coffee table, a pair of matching side tables and whole china cabinet that was all one cohesive set. Honey, it was so much work, but I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I had to sell some of the pieces because I had moved to a smaller apartment. It broke my heart splitting the set up. But living in NYC, I had no way to store them. I rather sell the pieces, make some money (they sold REALLY well here in NY), and let someone else enjoy them.
My style is mix of so many different things, maybe victorian meets mid-century, dark(ish) academia, smack dap in the middle between minimalism and maximalism. 😂 Okay that was a lot, but it all does kinda works, trust me.
But anyway, that was a lot to say that having similar furniture pieces to me, and being that I’m such a fan of your art style, I am just so excited to see what you do with the pieces you’ve collected. ❤
(And at the end of the day it’s okay if we never get a full tour because privacy is most important.❤)

Oh the joys of moving! I clearly mark every single box & the contents. My last move, & it is my last, I lost the box with some of my main use kitchen stuff. Pretty sure the movers left it in the office which is a disaster! My arts & craft stuff also shares that space as well as a room of it's own. I'm sure you have a lot too! I started out watching your doll vids but I really enjoy your life stuff vids like this one & going to the Cons etc. Enjoy your new space, it will be fantastic soon!

Your new home has so much potential and I totally relate to the problem of finding things after a move (I've been in this house for four years now and I still have boxes to unpack - but can't as I've nowhere to put the contents. sigh). I loved your lovely fireplace corner and I've never seen a fire screen like your peacock one and now I have to find something like that and I don't even HAVE a fire place!

Omg thank you! I got the peacock from an antique shop and it is so amazing! When i didnt have the fireplace, i got those fire flickering light bulbs and put it behind it to make it look like a fireplace!

Hex, this was SO MUCH FUN to watch! I love your space, did not realize you had moved recently. I moved 4 storage rooms into a 1000 sq foot apartment right after Thanksgiving and working 36-72 hours a week night shifts I’m STILL sifting through boxes going “where the hell did that thing go?!?” when I’m trying to do a craft project! This was fun. Thank you. The fact that you were just going about you're day and not making events or errands or whatever just to make things interesting (and watching you try to hide all the boxes and stuff like we don't know what moving is like (hell I moved in December and still have boxes I have yet to open)) was more intimate. It suits you.
If you're asking what we'd like to see, then I would love to see your take on Mystery Inc. like the Scooby Gang. Especially Daphne cuz you're great with fashion. But also cuz they have such iconic looks that people are too scared to mess with. Your take on the My Scene characters would be cool. But I would really love to see your take on Barbie. Like what makes Barbie, Barbie to you? Or create a custom Eve doll from the Disney movie Life-Size with Tyra Banks and Linsey Lohan!

I think a lot of people that want beautiful things could learn something from you. Secondhand items are valid, and often better constructed than a lot of modern made mass produced stuff! You save money, and you get gorgeous items with a bit of history!

I love your videos ❤ My desk at work is a hot mess always because of my Cricut workshop 😅 and filled with blank tumblers and coffee mugs. I am usually not that tidy and organized especially if im preparing for an event or something but I'm always trying to make it clean and tidy because my office is next to the front entrance, it's literally the first thing you see before you look at the receptionists desk 😅. I have like 3 boxes just full of "junk" because I keep telling myself I'm gonna use that stuff later and haven't touched it since.. welcome to being human ❤

The sides you took off of the couch, use a bit to patch the chair hun!! So doable. Use wood glue and saturate it to get it in place and to stay.
