Amazing video watched it several times! Also Really love the music , the second track ‘fool myself - fenda Would you please help me to find where I can get this song?
It's so refreshing to see someone actually use their car and put on a lot of miles and enjoy it, rather than keeping it in the garage as a queen, good on you my friend.
HAVE YOU GUYS NOTICED that the happiest sport car owners are the LOTUS ones??? They are always happy, smiling, able to drive on daily "city tracks", gravels, dirt roads, get that "GO-KART-SPORT-G-FORCE-FILLING", without breaking the bank, without much debts, with NO worries about the tires or wheels , no worries about the fends and paint!!! This is a new smart way to buy sports cars!! NICE DONE LOTUS.... NICE INDEED.
Gotta love this about Europe... when I lived in the UK I enjoyed trips crossing countries in a matter of hours, with ever changing scenery etc. Here in Australia where I'm from, you can literally drive for 10 hours and not leave the state!
WOW how fast your production skills have come in such short time! Such an epic road trip and cant wait for the next part... makes me want to get out and drive!
Drove a series 1 to Monaco and back to watch the 2003 Grand Prix - Montoya won but I remember Jensen's crash out of the tunnel most of all - nasty - The hood came down in Calais and never went up till Dover four days later - carefully overtook Gendarmes who leaned out of the windows and waved us on shouting "arret, arret," which I mistook for 'faster, faster,' but of course actually means stop - their peugeot 205 was no match though and really and honestly they didn't even try. Raced a Porsche - lost - raced a Ferrari lost - gave up after that. So did the brakes; so we took it to a specialist who we found out only dealt with Ferrari and Maserati - but they fixed it on the spot - superb stuff - Jane was 8 months pregnant and asleep as I pulled into a fuel stop on a deserted dual carriageway - filled up and nailed it all the way to the aluminium carpet and never left off till I pulled into an identical one - 28 litres and 30 mins later - oh and I burnt my legs. Arrived back in UK with drizzle and a police car following us as a nice welcome to Britain. Never forget a good a road trip. Thanks for this can't wait for part two - Epilogue - I crashed Janes Lotus - it wasn't my fault, it never is. She has another one now after a brief and terrifying interlude with a Cerbera - but that's a whole different story...and involves the Police trying to give the car an ASBO which it wholeheartedly deserves.
Awesome vid George, fabulous quality again 👌🏼 It's funny, I used to dream of these roads (Stelvio etc) when having the Elise, now I do them by bicycle: did Passo Giao last year! Sure it's a bit less painful and more fun in a Lotus :) Keep 'em coming....
That first 40 second edit is as good as I’ve ever seen. Stunning, thanks for putting the effort into that, watched it a few times over just admiring. I sold my S3 Elise 250 a couple of years back, and have been following yours since on insta. I actually was very close to contacting you to put an offer in on your caterham when you were selling it but wanted to keep my 981 a bit longer. Now that’s going I’m stuck between an Exige and a Caterham 310... looking forward to watching the channel grow and best of luck!
This video proves one thing: you should have started making them long ago! Great video! Properly driven car! Love it! Keep the good work George! Cheers!
Yes, I was running Pirelli Sotto Zero Winter Tyres. I'd say some of the roads would have been pretty dangerous without winter tyres with ice and snow in places.
Quality content, just catching up as a new subscriber! Can't find the first song anywhere though, 'Dr Beat - Laith at Touch Recordings', can't find anywhere! Can't wait to see more of this masterpiece Exige!
Very very awesome video. LOVE those GRP lights. Weirdly, on the hairpin drift only the outer rings are lit, but all the other clips both rings are lit. Is that something you can do with those lights or something I've missed?
Liking what you’re doing here on YT, just had to press that 👍🏻 when I saw 5:13 Keep it up and give me a shout if you ever plan on shooting in Belgium, always down for a collab🤘🏻 JW
I just wonder how would you take the slips from pay-tolls if you didn't have a passenger? I just can't imagine how many times would you need to unbuckle-buckle, especially in Italy where there can be a few tolls in a short amount of time.
When I've travelled through Europe in the past on my own, I put the hazard lights on, get out the car and walk round to do the toll. It's very annoying!
Check out part 2 where I drive the Ferrari SP2 Monza here:

Try this journey with a Traban 601!
Ok?
Amazing video watched it several times!
Also Really love the music , the second track ‘fool myself - fenda

Great video! Did you fit winter tyres to the Exige?
It's so refreshing to see someone actually use their car and put on a lot of miles and enjoy it, rather than keeping it in the garage as a queen, good on you my friend.
"Closed road" sure.... :)

I like how you're not annoying. Look forward to part 2
There is so much good car content on youtube but 99.9% of the people in them are just so fucking annoying.
Brill, no servicing ‘costs’ or brand complaints. There’s still hope for cars on YT! 👍🏻
To be honest, I don't really care about that stuff much, service when needed and drive the thing!
@@GFWilliamsnet great car man, give me a gift (that car) 😁
Those GRP tail lights transform the rear ends looks. Love them!
The second track, I know it's in the discription but I can't find it anywhere pls pls I need it it's so good!!!
I am a GT3 owner but even to me that Lotus sounds GREAT. Keep up the content!
Even to you
@@TheNv78 ^
Man, that Exige is something else!
Your nailing these vids at the minute. Great editing too!
Those kind of irrational road trip are always the best!
I've done a few with my car but this one is mega!
With that car and this content you deserve so much more subscribers.
Great work. 👍🏻
Love the mud flaps. Fantastic decision for the wintertime.
Hats off to you, brilliant journey. Sounds like a great alternative to a mediocre New Year's Eve at the pub !!!!!
Looks abit cramped but great video love the road trip
Looks like a ton of fun!! Pedal to the metal!
Awesome video & Exige!
Cool trip and good to see another Lotus being used properly, 57k 🙌🏾

Thanks mate, nothing better than just getting in the car and going on an adventure!
Them exiges are so special, such a treat. Great vid.
bloody ace editing and mixing music with car sounds - subscribed ! good work GFW
Love your car!! The video was great. Great camera and lens. So clear and clean. About watch part2.
There was a short clip of the car interior with the old cluster 2:12, is the digital cluster removable on the go?
Great trip! Love the Exige adventure
Roadtrips aren’t just for summer! Great video and some nice sideways action. Lovely car also! Even when filthy.
Great video
Great video! Hello from Australia. Soon to be doing a road trip down in Tasmania. Which has amazing roads!
Enjoyed your video as always. Keep em coming!
EPIC video...can't wait for PART 2
We are gonna do some powersliding..with powerslidelover Monza SP2..cant wait for that video!
Great clip and channel... the production is spot on too. Best of luck with it!
Great video! I can definitely feel how special the trip was and makes me want to do one myself again! Keep it coming!
Thanks mate, you really should!
Great video with some great photography. Nice to see a Lotus being used effectively. I miss my Elise S2 😞
What a quality! This channel does definitly need more subscribers! Love from the Netherlands!
Nice video buddy, looked knackering but great fun. Drifting goals right there.....
Looks like an awesome adventure. Great to do it with a car buddy too.
Epic video and love the casual way of presentation. Furthermore stunning Lotus!
This is the first time I noticed Your vlog.
I really enjoyed this spendid footage.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Love the looks of that dirty Exige, looks like its been properly used
Great video, subscribed. That car❤️ That car when dirty🥰
Love a road trip. Good job thanks for making
Great video George! That’s some serious dedication 😳😁
It looks quite snug in that cockpit 😂
Fantastic vid of your roadtrip, those mountain views looked epic the same can be said about the drifting🤘.
Great video, thank you to TH-cam recommends! You got this one right!
Such a fun video! Can't wait to see more of them. Please keep them coming!
i used to do that trip regularly in my S1. Drive fast, don't wast time thinking about fuel economy, and ditch the passenger for lightness.
Exige uses nearly double the amount of fuel an S1 would (Maybe more). No point going crazy on the boring roads, just save it for the fun ones!
Exige goodness..keep them coming
Incredible first video effort! Nice Work:)
Great shots! Great editing! Great car!
Looking forward to seeing the rest of this trip!
I love how the car looks like it's never had a wash by the end of the video! Love the content :)
Lmao lotus would've sold that as "smokey sunset"
Great way to see 2020 in

Still the best exige EVER
This is SUCH a good video. The photots in Austria are sublime.. I'm pleased you've done this channel mate, bravo and see you round!
Thanks mate, I appreciate your comment!
Great video, thank you.
I drove my Elise S2 down to Monza in September for the GP
(Just have to be real careful at those Italian services tho!)
Brilliant!
Lotus Exige is so much fun, I love this car! (an Exige Cup 430 Type 25 owner)
We’re trying to maximize our stints
Oh look a tunnel
Love it
Amazing, love the quality!
Nice work man..god the Lotus sounds good!
Impressive commitment & properly used car! Love it!!! :)

Tom Howroyd thanks, I miss my Caterham, but the Lotus is more suited to me... I’m glad you enjoyed the little intro, I had a lot of fun filming it!
Great vid George! Keep it up. I just want to jump in my car and head South now!
Go do it, nothing better than a last minute road trip!
Smashed it. Part Two please.
Cool guy👌 see this Chanel for the first time. But a cool trip🤙
Fantastic! Really enjoyed watching that (several times!)
My Elise S1 drove really well in the snow (daily driver for 8 years) but the front wheels would be lifted off by snow getting under the front. Scary.
Absolute quality, thank you.
This video proves one thing: you should have started making them long ago! Great video! Properly driven car! Love it! Keep the good work George! Cheers!
Jorge Cristóvão thanks for the kind words, I’m excited to make more! Part 2 is shaping up to be pretty epic...
Nice trip. What tyres have you used?
A brave man to do a long road trip in an exige.
Nice trip! Keep going with videos!
Great work. Becoming more natural on camera each time.
You must have a bottom made of steel to sit for 1000 miles in an Exige.
Brilliant mate 👍🏻👍🏻
8.03 almost hit that little pole dang
Did you add winter tyres along with the increased ride height and mud flaps? Can you get away without them?
Yes, I was running Pirelli Sotto Zero Winter Tyres. I'd say some of the roads would have been pretty dangerous without winter tyres with ice and snow in places.
I’d forgotten how stupidly big the US is. The car I want is like 5 states away and that’s 1100 miles
I drove 5500kms across Australia in a Fiat 128 3p 😆
@@buzzedo1 That must've been so much fun though! Here it's just straight highways
epic road trip man :)

Great video! Thanks man!
That was a cracking video, very well edited. How do you have only have 6k subs though? Looking forward to more content
Thanks, this is only my third video, so I'm trying to build it now!
GFWilliams looking for to it 👍🏻
Enjoyed this one. Need to do a roadtrip with mine soon!
Bro I Luv your Exige a lot >>>>>
Why not in CH? 🧐
Very very awesome video. LOVE those GRP lights. Weirdly, on the hairpin drift only the outer rings are lit, but all the other clips both rings are lit. Is that something you can do with those lights or something I've missed?
Well spotted, I can turn the inner two on or off. I forgot to turn them on for that clip.
It doesn't seem too loud on the highway!
To be honest the lav mic is a bit deceiving, it is quite noisy inside!
great video, love this kind of road trips videos. Subscribed...
which lsd? doesnt it induce more understeer?
great adventure, regards from Poland
Even though Exige/Elise doesn't look as a very comfortable car, they are quite OK. I've done 2700 km in 24 hours with my Elise.
Liking what you’re doing here on YT, just had to press that 👍🏻 when I saw 5:13
