Ryan is an awesome singer/vocalist SOIL went shite when he was gone now there back and sound great as did Drowning Pool while he was with them. Great singers will be great whoever they sing with and he shows that
I totally agree that Ryan is an amazing vocalist but SOiL is awesome as a whole. The other guys are just as good and honestly AJ wasn't too bad. I enjoyed a bunch of their songs when he was singing for them. I do agree that great vocalists are great no matter what, though.

SOiL can't be fucked with. I was at a show tonight, in Indy. Ryan got off the stage after missing 5 weeks of performing, due to a serious Illness . Got in the crowd, during Halo and let everyone sing with him on the MIC!
If you want to know what it is like to have a real frontman in your band, tell your buddy to take lessons, out of all the amazing shows I have been to . RYAN McCombs proved to me that METAL IS NOT DEAD!!!!!.

Yeah I had learned about that the day after the show. Serious enough that he has to keep his health in check. I got to chat with him for awhile he is a real down to earth dude. I told him I was glad he got to come out of it healthy and still kicking ass.

I think the people who are saying they prefer Ryan in DP, haven't been listening to Soil since the beginning. If you had been, you would be completely stoked like the rest of us! I saw them at Rock on the Range last year for the first time since 2002 & it was like no time had passed at all!!

Phil Blakeston you should check out the stuff he did in Drowning Pool too. two albums with the band Full circle and the self titled album. he brought them back into the radio scene. I remember hearing Drowning Pool with him in it playing in my local radio. I was shocked to hear them play anything like that, usually just old Drowning Pool stuff.
