*Watches the intro of the stage from hypser speed to cockpit view* THIS GAME WAS TOOO SICKKK!!! I miss this part of my childhood! And the music was the BOMB!!
I love the level with the big whale thing. You shoot the fish or whatever and a giant whale floats around dropping you items. Gotta love those blue ball things you fire after getting 2 leser upgrades...
The SNES is one of the best consoles of all time, one of the reasons being it's games. This being one of it's greatest, it also kept up the SNES's reputation of having generally awesome music. While emulators are cool, being able to carry many consoles and games around on your memory stick, NOTHING can beat playing games like this on the orignal console. Not even Wii's virtual console.
This was fucking brilliant. My first game ever and what an experience it was. None of the other Star Foxes had the same aura as this, pure space horror
Screw emulators man, you've gotta play this on the original system. I just finished doing so, and this level (and the music that accompanies it) is among my favorite out of all the games.
I think it would be cool if they made another take on the first game, kinda a hybrid between this and 64...and had the two games as unlockable content.
after playing this game, I remembered that the game felt a little stiff. I guess it meant that the Super FX chip stretched the SNES's processor to the limits, which meant back in those days game companies actually *tried* to make good games.
Yeah i know. "FOX! GET THIS GUY OFF ME!" They should have made his voice like Toad's in the cartoon Super Mario Bros. Super Show. And made him still stammer like he did in Star Fox SNES. Example: "C-C-Croak! Help M-M-Me!"
not a lot of people know this, but the game was supposed to be faster than what it was on the snes. the super fx chip wasn't fast enough for this game, thus the lag.
Hi. Is it OK if I borrow the audio part of this? I want to use the warp power down soud effect on there at the beginning of the level for my custom warp drive sound.
is this on an emulator or you recorded it from an actual super nes? and if it is an emulator, how did you make it slow down to the actual speed? mine here is always about 2 times faster D:
I always hated how the game would always force you into cockpit view on the space levels. It was a cool camera angle, but it was so annoying trying to maneuver with that green wire frame. I could never properly gauge the distance between the ship and the ground/enemy projectiles.
Okay I realize this comment is 14 years old and you're probably long dead or something but you can actually change the view out of cockpit mode by pressing the select button.
The Space Armada consists of powerful battleships!! Destroy their energy cores!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet Pepper writes his own name with exclamation marks.
wrong you can do a barrel roll you fool you just need to press the L or R button twice to execute it. you can't do the quick turn-round as this game doesn't have all-range mode thank goodness and i still think this one the best one there is
Man, this was dead 3 months ago. Could we just leave it for God's Sake? Alright alright. I'M SORRY. I APOLOGIZE FOR BEING A STUPID. Satisfied? Hell! Anywhere you find such kind of people. But one more thing: I'm 23 and I've played since I was 1 and a half.
Man, what was that? You lost the first battleship, and some fighters. At 2:58, you threw a bomb, instead of breaking. Your shootin' is too slow and bad accurately. You had to crash your ship to destroy the last battleships and the mothership's core. And finally, you're comparing this level with a GC's Rogue Leader level? You must have about 13 years old. You don't deserve that 99%, you deserve a 70%
2:03 Falco: "I'm being chased!"
Also Falco: "Mind your own business!"
Man I'm 33 and whenever I hear this I'm 13 and want to go to space every. Single. Time. So many feels. :(
Best level in the entire game! You get to blow up SO MUCH!!!
Favourite stage and music of the whole game!
Wow! I love to listen The Arwing`s engine sound , specialy at the arrival from hyperspace....
The music is so epic
*Watches the intro of the stage from hypser speed to cockpit view* THIS GAME WAS TOOO SICKKK!!! I miss this part of my childhood! And the music was the BOMB!!
Daaaaamn...this was my favorite stage for both action and music.
This level SO reminds me of Star Wars!!
Back when gaming was awesome
Most atmospheric music in the game. Epic level.
1:23 That looks like a lawn chair.
Nice they're gonna put this on BRAWL for the star fox armada stage. I cant contain the excitement!!!!!!!!!
I loved how you come out of hyperdrive, very Star Wars-esqe.
Geez, I still have the T-Shirt that cane with this game LOL and its over 20 years old, still fits.ah the memories.
WTF... is 2012... and this is still amazing
the music... fx... controls... movement...
HOW !!
I love the level with the big whale thing. You shoot the fish or whatever and a giant whale floats around dropping you items.
Gotta love those blue ball things you fire after getting 2 leser upgrades...
Great Video !!
Now I want the snes classic
Arwings are so cool...

Such an awesome classic game. I never knew this was the stage Mr. Amada's song was from! :p
This is still the series' peak.
It amazes me that they could change the camara view in this game, but couldn't do it in Star Fox Assault. It would've been awesome.
Gotta admit, destroying the core of that last ship is a bit like Star Wars Return Of The Jedi
i watch dis sometimes at night while i lay in my bed on you with my ps3 i have a big azz tv so i be actin like im in the game with the epic music
The view starts off that way in most space fights. If you want to change it manually once you gain control of the Arwing, use the SELECT button.
Screw emulators man, you've gotta play this on the original system. I just finished doing so, and this level (and the music that accompanies it) is among my favorite out of all the games.
Playing this in first person mode, with this score was so fucking badass as a kid when the super FX chip had just come out.
i always liked the music on this stage, too. it sounds...how do i put...hopeful. like something good's bound to happen. :)
I think it would be cool if they made another take on the first game, kinda a hybrid between this and 64...and had the two games as unlockable content.

Reminded me of SW bk in the dayz
In a way it does.
Their ships have gravity diffusers, hence the fast space travel.
DO A BARREL ROLL!!
:P Can't do that in this game XD
Yeah i know.
"FOX! GET THIS GUY OFF ME!"

I used to love those simple "voices" from the original StarFox. I really hated Slippy's voice in SF 64 xD
this level could go on forever, as long as you skip the entrance at 1:24 and/or don't destroy the core at 1:55
This was way harder when I was like 5
Am i the only one thinking about the velocity at which they are traveling in space? When they enter armadas, they can't be traveling more than 150mph.
Cal3000 well now you made me think about it congrats
Good lawk!
Good log!
Good 1:)
I don't understand the bomb at 2:58 either. Maybe you pressed the wrong button.
Gr8 ;)

bling blimp bling blimp
@MegamanNG Same here xD sorta the music too xD

STAR FOX SNES LEVEL 1 STAGE 3

What does it actually mean when you're a blue and white flashing wire frame? Plz reply someone...
I mean its 6 years later, but you basically have a handful of free hits without causing damage.
You are shield protected only for a few hits tho.
Space Armada
Wait..YES YOU CAN!! I saw it XD
My bad :P
The Space Armada consists of powerful battleships!! Destroy their energy cores!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet Pepper writes his own name with exclamation marks.
Star Fox on Project Cafe please. :)
There were no enemies there. And that's all I'm gonna say about this.
0:20
You're becoming more like your Father.

wtf noob fires a bomb at 2:58
um no offense dude but what was you thinking?

Agree, this one plays so badly this awesome stage
