This was the best the X-files ever got. You had some episodes that stand out for being creepy, touching, funny or thought provoking. This one delivers on all of those aspects. My all time favourite.
Perfectly described. I just rewatched it for the first time since the 90s and while I remember really liking it, but it’s only gotten better with time. It’s perfect.
best episode of the X-Files. Everything just works so well in it, and Bruckman is so well acted he owns the show. And the joke about how Mulder dies is brilliant.
Great episode. I can relate to a couple things with Clyde, the bit about how everyone else is getting it on and the start of the episode where he and another guy are trying to pass each other and keep getting in each other's way.
A fun episode for sure and something that I take great pleasure is Chris Carter saying he didn't like casting known actors in the series, and I frankly call BS as season two of X-Files is one of the stacked seasons of guest stars. But this episode is also a family favorite for all the reasons you listed.
What a great episode. I remember when the Uri Geller thing happened, although at this late date I don't remember if I saw it myself or just read about it later. I didn't know about James Randi's involvement, but I do know that Carson himself had had training in stage magic when he was younger. He would have been hard to fool anyway. (Magicians never expose each other's tricks, of course, but I remember that they, as a group, disliked Geller because he claimed he wasn't a magician -- he insisted he had real powers.)
Happy New Year! This episode is so good. It's my second favorite of the entire series. I really can't think of anything wrong with it. As close as you can get to a perfect episode.
I always remember Peter Boyle in Taxi Driver, although I can't remember any of his lines. Just him sitting in a diner and standing next to his taxi. But yeah I first saw him in Everybody Loves Raymond.
My guy coming in with a New Years eve gift, hopefully you're feeling better and haven't been injected with Purity Control. I'm looking forward to 2024's reviews from ya
I would buy that life insurance. And Scully is sure immortal. That's how she revives Mulder in future. Also the trailer says that the killer can see into the future and stays one step ahead, but I don't think the killer had any power like that? Great episode and review.
In one episode it's revealed that scully's DNA was changed making her immune to disease and viruses. I'm pretty sure I'm remembering that correctly, so yeah definitely immortal.
Ever since seeing this episode I got in in my head that mulder can't die any other way other than aut0 3r0tic asphyxiation, so there was less suspense in the series ever since. now that's what i call a sticky situation.
When I first saw this episode I spat my coca cola on shirt when Clyde says "I can't think of a more undignified way than Auto erotic asphyxiation" to Mulder 😆👏💯
I think because he was seeing what the killer was and I don't think the killers vision was accurate hence why mulder was able to fend him off until Scully arrived.
Yeah, there's only one better episode, and it's by the narrowest of edges. I mean neither of them have quite the same impact as 'Squeak' the one where Scully has to infiltrate a fetish cult to find a shape-changing murderer, but I am near certain that one was a dream so doesn't count. Any episode with Q-Dawg in it is a good one, though I am drawn to Quagmire as his finest moment, being [SPOILERED] to [SPOILER] by none other than the [SPOILER] [SPOILER] [SPOILER]. Y'know, there hasn't been an X-Files themed beat 'em up, yet, just think of the possibilities, especially for fatalities... Flukeman Vs. Eugene Tooms, FIGHT! Iceworm scientist Vs Magma fungus scientist, FIGHT! Ancient redwood glowmoth swarm Vs. Purity infected mutant bee swarm, FIGHT! I'm gonna get on this to someone tomorrow, right after my lovely meds.
Well, seeing as everyone absolutely creams their pants over this episode, I suppose I'm the one who is in the wrong, but I've always thought this one was a dud. Way to silly for absolutely no reason.
The hype for this episode is 100% justified. It has everything, and just when you didnt think it could possibly be more perfect, Scully takes in Queequeg 🥹 ❤️. As much as a cringeworthy fraud Uri Geller is, at least he can say he inspired a Pokémon, lol. Hope you’re feeling better JB! Happy New Year!
This was the best the X-files ever got. You had some episodes that stand out for being creepy, touching, funny or thought provoking. This one delivers on all of those aspects. My all time favourite.
It really is top tier.
Perfectly described. I just rewatched it for the first time since the 90s and while I remember really liking it, but it’s only gotten better with time. It’s perfect.
Yeah, this ep is pretty much perfection. It somehow manages to be creepy, horrifying, sad, and hilarious.
It's got a little bit of everything.
best episode of the X-Files. Everything just works so well in it, and Bruckman is so well acted he owns the show. And the joke about how Mulder dies is brilliant.
Yeah this is easily one of the best in the series.
My favorite monster-episode of the show!
Great acting and tons of mysteries!
Always great to rewatch that one! ;)
One of my three favorite episodes in addition to The Post-Modern Prometheus and How the Ghosts Stole Christmas.
All three are fantastic.
Humbug, Clyde, and Jose Chung are 3 of the best episodes.
They're all awesome.
I always remember this episode, it's peak x-files. Everything about this episode is great, and who can forget the introduction of THE QUE
This really is as good as it gets. And no one can forget the quee.
Great episode. I can relate to a couple things with Clyde, the bit about how everyone else is getting it on and the start of the episode where he and another guy are trying to pass each other and keep getting in each other's way.
I'm always in people's way.
Oh my God. Miss Cleo. I forgot about those commercials.
Hahah I never could.
This was the first episode of X Files I watched. Fell in love immediately ❤
Wow good episode to start with.
A fun episode for sure and something that I take great pleasure is Chris Carter saying he didn't like casting known actors in the series, and I frankly call BS as season two of X-Files is one of the stacked seasons of guest stars. But this episode is also a family favorite for all the reasons you listed.
There are a decent amount of bigger names in this episode, though at the time were they really that well known?
Ah yes, David Carradine, the chokesman of AARG, the Autoerotic Aphyxiation Representation Group.
lmao
I'll forver stick to the idea Immortal Scully was a bocthed line by Anderson asking "ok, how do I die" instead of "ok, I want to know".
Dang! when she took that shot.
Zero hesitation.
That's our girl!
Probably my all time favorite, I have this one on tape with ear of the caprophages
It's definitely a top 10 episode.
Another awesome video bro!!! Thanks. Happy New Year!!!!
Thanks so much and Happy New Year
What a great episode.

Carson was no fool and would have figured it out from the get go.
Happy New Year! This episode is so good. It's my second favorite of the entire series. I really can't think of anything wrong with it. As close as you can get to a perfect episode.
Happy New Year to you as well. Yeah this episode is pretty much as perfect as it gets.
Happy New Year! Definitely in my top 5 x files episodes of all-time.
Yeah it's definitely up there.
Slipped one in before the buzzer lol.. cant wait!!
I had to.
I always remember Peter Boyle in Taxi Driver, although I can't remember any of his lines. Just him sitting in a diner and standing next to his taxi. But yeah I first saw him in Everybody Loves Raymond.
Yeah I first saw him in everybody loves Raymond too.
Aaaaawwww, Queequeg! I... actually named one of my hamsters after him. I loved him so.
Queequeg is the best.
This episode introduced me to Buster Keaton, which is such a weird thing for an eight year old to get into.
Yeah, but that stuff is honestly timeless.
Perfect Timing 👍🏾
Happy New Year 🎉🎉🥂
Happy New Year to you as well.
never ever do that again at 1:06. Almost spit out my food at my computer screen lol. Happy New Year!
Hahahah I had to. Happy New Year to you and yours as well.
Bruckman / Killer: I got my pie on you. Mulder:
Hahaha
thank you for this and happy new year
I'm glad you enjoyed, happy new year.
Definitely a top three episode for me! So damn good!
It's definitely up there.
Just what my weirdo ass needed. Happy New Year! Live Long and Prosper!
I hope you enjoyed it and Happy New Year to you as well.
My guy coming in with a New Years eve gift, hopefully you're feeling better and haven't been injected with Purity Control. I'm looking forward to 2024's reviews from ya
Oh yeah I've got a whole fridge full of purity control. Happy New Year.
I much prefer "Jose Chung From Outer Space" as my best of-. I've re-watched that episode the most with this coming in second
That's a great episode as well.
.man I LOVE the 1st 5 seasons
The first 5 are definitely the best.
They literally don't write them like this anymore. We had it so good back then
no unfortunately they really don't.
This was a great episode. Peter Boyle was so good, it would have cool if they made him a recurring character somehow.
He could have been a fun character to have around.
They did that dog so dirty. 😭
Aww I know.
Cause he gets eaten by a sea monster (alligator)?
I would buy that life insurance. And Scully is sure immortal. That's how she revives Mulder in future. Also the trailer says that the killer can see into the future and stays one step ahead, but I don't think the killer had any power like that? Great episode and review.
Haha the promo's rarely followed what the story was actually about.
"Female intuition..."
Haha love that part.
In one episode it's revealed that scully's DNA was changed making her immune to disease and viruses. I'm pretty sure I'm remembering that correctly, so yeah definitely immortal.
Yeah that was in season 7 I think.
Ever since seeing this episode I got in in my head that mulder can't die any other way other than aut0 3r0tic asphyxiation, so there was less suspense in the series ever since. now that's what i call a sticky situation.
Hahahah that makes sense.
One of the funniest and still scary episodes of the series
It has the perfect balance.
When I first saw this episode I spat my coca cola on shirt when Clyde says "I can't think of a more undignified way than Auto erotic asphyxiation" to Mulder 😆👏💯
Hahah it's a great line.
THE best episode.
Yeah it's hard to argue against that.
Fronk-en-schteen!
Hahahaha I love that movie.
@@JBSpookyReview I was hoping you would get the reference! :-D
One of my all time favorites! My sister and I have most of it memorized. We even (jokingly) did the elbow greeting thing during Covid.
Awesome
Glad you enjoyed.
Queequeg!!!!!!
Queequeg is the best.
@@JBSpookyReview lol yeah!
So this old man believe un fate but agents change fate
I think because he was seeing what the killer was and I don't think the killers vision was accurate hence why mulder was able to fend him off until Scully arrived.
Subscribed for the Quee.
How could you not love the Quee! Thank you and I hope you enjoy the channel.
Friday the 13th was this year 2024
It sure was.
Yeah, there's only one better episode, and it's by the narrowest of edges.

I'm gonna get on this to someone tomorrow, right after my lovely meds.
Someone should mod mortal kombat with x-files characters.
Well, seeing as everyone absolutely creams their pants over this episode, I suppose I'm the one who is in the wrong, but I've always thought this one was a dud. Way to silly for absolutely no reason.
You're not in the wrong. We all have our preferences and I can understand people not liking it.
Politely and respectfully, don't suppose I could request a separate upload of the auto-erotic asphyxiation gag... for personal use
Should I be concerned.
Always loved this episode but yappi is so cringy I can barely watch.
Hahah Yappi being cringe is part of the fun.
The staredown between him & Scully will never not be funny to me. I wonder if there were outtakes with them all laughing. Yapp was so ridiculous.
The look on her face when he says nonbeliever... like oh no that's me.
👍 between this one Dreamland and Jose Chung’s (Charles Nelson Riley) From outer space 🪐 it’s a tough call for #1.
Dreamland is a fun two parter.
The hype for this episode is 100% justified. It has everything, and just when you didnt think it could possibly be more perfect, Scully takes in Queequeg 🥹 ❤️.

What Pokemon did he inspire? I never heard of this.
