Tbh exactly THIS is the reason I usually do not like those electronical beats and songs since it often makes sound the singers much more artificial like the voice is edited afterwards, even if it isnt.

Both my kids have seen these guys live in concert and they, knowing my taste in music, introduced the studio mix of this collaboration to me a while ago. This is my children's generation's music. I lived through the dark wave influences The Weeknd references and the divas that Ms. Grande emulates. This, however, is a wonderful performance. I'm surprised you didn't mention Abel's vibrato, which gave his voice so much life. and the way Ms. G navigates through the lower registers of her voice in this song makes her sound like a woman, something that I fear will take her time to do through her entire register. She has a very rich, full tone when she's down there.
