    oh these new HG round hole ball bearing behaves like the dangun racers bearings item 15259 I bought before, it's shaky and kinda loose.

      Yeah, the old HG DR are better because they are hex hole.

    Out of topic. Can u recommend cleaning fluid for tyres other than zippo? Its really expensive

  • @johnmiddleton4291

    Why do you remove the lubricant inside the bearings? Doesn't that lead to them binding when under load? Bearings don't ever spin like that in actual use.

      Normally yes, removing grease from bearings is not actually advisable. But due to the size of the bearings being roughly 6mm x 2mm the amount of grease put inside them is comparatively an inordinate amount for what it should have. The grease instead slows the whole transmission down. If you run these with grease even with break-in, they will be slower on the speed checker on the cars weight compared to when you clean out the grease. You can measure the difference in lap times as well.

      @@Z3NBluster Interesting. I would think it would be more about the friction of imprecise spheres in the manufacturing that cause most of those issues. Maybe using a ceramic type grease would help, since the micro ceramic balls in it would help "round" thins out, so to speak. As would selecting good bearings from a larger group of samples. I know that many of the 850 size bearings from Tamiya for R/C cars can be problematic. Of course you can use any make you want in R/C without being Tamiya specific.
      Is the performance that much better than micro oiling, with a paraffin based oil, the polyethylene that many of the shafts pass through on the chassis that are made that way? ABS is also slightly slippery from the butyl components in it's makeup.

    Can you review the Flourine Coated Steel Bearings?

    • @Z3NBluster
      @Z3NBluster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not recommend them. Use these or the AO 620s. Buying those are a waste of money.

  • @jacquesjacov1656

    Do all wheel bearings need like a break in method to become more smoother, just like what other racers do with their rollers?

    • @Z3NBluster
      @Z3NBluster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The AO 620 and this will benefit from break-in. But the cheap round hole and hex hole bearings don't. They're just terrible to use.

      @@Z3NBluster What about the Fluorine Coated Steel Bearings? I know its not as good as these two, but is it way better than those of round hole & hex hole bearings?

    • @Z3NBluster
      @Z3NBluster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, those aren't even bearings. They're just bushings.

    these are not bearings for rollers, right? if not, which would you recommend to use for my rollers? especially ones that last

    • @davesiu680
      @davesiu680 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, not for rollers. There are many others aftermarket brands out there but you need to know the dimension but for the tamiya there is only one type; the bearing gears for MS/MA use the same bearing as the rollers. if you going to compete in official Tamiya, most of the time i believed they will require you to use only 'Tamiya' parts only.
