So Till sings here "Who waits with prudence will be rewarded in dear time". The album "Liebe ist fur alle da" (LIFAD) was a reward indeed - dark, heavy, full of impressive songs. And the show... In my opinion, that tour was the best in Rammstein history.
definitely agree, I feel like LIFAD gets really under-appreciated as an album but I loved how dark and heavy it was. The tour I also found the best one yet, seen them 6 times now but I loved that show so much, maybe because it was my first time seeing them that it got a special place. I mean, it had damn exploding babies over the stage during Wiener Blut how badass is that? :')
FINALLY :D "Rammlied" is probably one of the most epic opening performances ever. Wanna see a colourful and somewhat light-hearted Rammstein video (with an ironic undertone, mind you) for a chance? Then "Mein Land" (offical video) is the way to go :D Watching Till frolicking on a beach Baywatch-style is simply glorious.

When it comes to a slow build-up as an intro the one for the latest concert was pretty good. There is no official concert recording but the fan-made ones get better and better - at least compared to some years ago. Just search for "Rammstein Intro Was ich liebe". The message is more or less: The waiting is over, we are back. If you are sad and lonely, tune in. It is a bit cheesy, but you know, Rammstein is all about love. Try some slower stuff, "Frühling in Paris" or "Ohne dich".
Without Flake, Rammstein would never have been what they are. Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously. What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more and it´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds nearly like any metal band. Apart from the monster guitare reefs only the keyboards in the background fill up the entire sound, make things round, and not at least because of this, Rammstein sound so unique !

Till standing there with his eyes closed and doing nothing is him coping with stage fright. It's why there are so many onstage antics and so many pyrotechnics. It distracts the audience from Till, who has *severe* social anxiety. People staring at him is one of his biggest fears and is enough to throw him into a nasty anxiety attack. It's why he wore welding goggles in the Herzelied Era. If he couldn't see the people staring at him, he could continue to function. Over the years, he's developed more coping methods and tactics, but you can still see him clam up every now and again.
For the "ich tu dir weh" music video he actually had a pierced hole in his cheek to wire the light in his mouth. He used to squirt drinks through that hole to make the others laugh.

it's spoken like Rum-leed. In german ie is most times just a longer i (and we pronounce i like "ee" in english) Lied simply means "song", so it's the Ramm-song. That one is one of the best live performances I have ever seen ... problem is that any video from that DVD gets copyright struck almost immediately. But definitely worth checking out if one can find it. I love 'Los' on the concert.
