Like always with Rammstein, there is also a deep meaning than one might think on first sight: Till (the singer) is portrayed as being blind in the video. The whole story is set in a beautiful nature environment surrounded by beautiful women. At the end of the music video he is stomping over an Edelweiß flower (very rare and endangered) -> We are "blind" about all real beauty around us, instead we are chasing superficialities.
What I love about this song and its music video is that for Rammstein standards its fairly harmless (i mean theyve done literal porn only available on those sort of sites) but in 2022 standards when this was released, its still pushing a line other artists are not willing to cross because somehow music has become a media that almost isnt allowed to be too creative. A thought popped up in my mind that horrific stories are perfectly fine in movies, series and books but somehow things are different when its about music and people struggle with the concept of an artist presenting horrific stories in similar ways an oscar movie would. As Ive said in a comment in a previous video, Rammstein perfectly hits the Zeitgeist with their two last Albums and "Angst" is a very very interesting song mainly for its lyrics and its music video. Ive been told by a french fan that they analzyed this song and its music video in a philosophy class in university. One other song of the same album its the second most streamed song of the Album despite not having a music video which is "Armee der Tristen" which has similar contents to Angst, though you can read different meanings from the song as its written in a way sort of open for interpretation which Till loves to do. If you do react to it and its lyrics, since it has no music video, you could watch a Live performance as they had this as the opening song for their concerts for a while. If you want some light hearted fun like this one, you can squeeze "Zick Zack" somewhere inbetween, also from this 2022 Zeit Album. If you do react to all these 3 songs, you sort of have "completed" this album with its 6 most important songs as the other 5 songs of the album dont have music videos and are generally a fair bit less popular. Not saying theyre not worth listening to but theres lots to go through with Rammstein and one can always go back to those later one.

I have to say, I just like the Band for the range of topics, styles and videos. Yes they are still an industrial metal band at heart, but they can and will produce piano versions, softer tones, silly videos and still feel like Rammstein in all they produce to this day. It is very rare for me at least to like nearly all tracks from a Band and this here is one of those examples. Keep on listening and watching random videos of them and enjoy the ride.
I think after doing such meaningful and deep songs like "Zeit" and "Adieu" they needed a little rest. They always have a good sense of humor. Most of the time it goes hand in hand with critics and shocking scenes, but here it's quite near to harmless slapstick. I love it ! 😂
