I think the instructions was trying to tell you that you have to remove the fuse within the first 20 seconds which is the initialization phase and usually it has white light instead of red in other words the heater has to be off and then you switch the power on then within 20 seconds you remove the fuses

@DIYHelper hello. I have the 801 controller so cannot do it via the controller. I fitted a fuel fitter recently and it took 5 attempts to fill the filter with enough diesel before it started. So I only have 5 more failed attempts before it will lock up then. Its a erberspatcher D2

just remove the ecu and replace it with a chineese one from ebay then run some kerosene through it to clean it out at high setting for one hour.

Hello, the software does not work without the interface. The product key is hard-coded in the interface. It will work with most Eberspaecher heaters.

Hello. Can i ask, if the heater starts within 8 failed attempts does it then clear the memory of failed attempt.
Actually no, it will lock after another 2, only way to reset is through easyscan the 8 ones. After it locks you clear from the controller.

@@royclark8385 if it is the older heater it will not be a problem, only 2nd and 3rd generation heaters apply to the video
@DIYHelper How can I tell the age, I bought it second hand and once running it seems to run well, no smoke at all from the exhaust.
@@royclark8385 should be on the label, year and week, or tell me the six digit number from the label , starts with 25....
