...a welcome video on mylar and its uses. You show something others who have approached this subject have not shown, as far as i know, and that is -- how to manipulate the material into the configurations it can be used in. Mylar is obviously weak, and showing how to configure it without confusion and tearing it, is worthwhile. I have been in an extreme hypothermia event, and i was the one who survived by knowing just a little bit more than those who did not make it. What the take-away here should be, is -- Every bit of knowledge and Practice is useful. *Train with your equipment*, and get to know it -- Nature is beautiful, but if one is not prepared, will be deadly just stumbling about in it. Practice. Train. Thanks for the good info. :)
PS...when an emergency occurs outdoors, i assure you -- it will come as a complete and deadly surprise. Be ready.

Ciao e buona Pasqua! Un piccolissimo appunto sul discorso fulmini: contrariamente alla credenza comune, ad attrarre i fulmini non è il materiale (metallo) ma la forma appuntita e isolata dal contesto. Quindi in caso di temporale ok l'utilizzo della coperta ma in luogo riparato (non bosco, soprattutto non alberi isolati!) e, in caso di EMERGENZA, mantenersi il più possibile al suolo. Un abbraccio!

Grazie per il video! Nel mio kit ci sono degli scalda piedi (4 pz) una volta attivati, il calore che producono viene riflesso dalla coperta e si sta bene. È comodo nelle occasioni in cui non si può accendere un fuoco o una candela (tipo in auto)
