Yes mate quality work as usual. I had a 407 with the plastic sump and when a local garage service it yes they cracked the sump done a repair on it plastic weld if i remember.

Very similar to my focus ST Engine. dw10 peugeot. I think its a great engine. Mines on 64k but 8 years old gonna do it this year i reckon as those water pumps are a bit problematic.

Just had my belt done on the exact same engine mondeo 2013 2.0 tdci where the previous owner said it had been done but no proof..
My local garage said the belt they removed was the original..👀
Lucky they said hence weren't in the best condition..

A friend got his Kuga done for £250 in a local garage....He's a retired mechanic himself and still does a bit (more mot work now). The garage did him a good deal as he sends them alot of work that he doesn't want.

I have a 2014 Kuga same engine and when I asked about the timing belt being included in the current service they told me it was a timing chain and wouldn`t needed to be replaced.....After looking at this video I`m changing my garage. Some people just want to charge big for doing the easy jobs.

Recommended every 120k miles or 10years whichever the sooner..
Yea some garages hourly fees labour wise are just extremely expensive hence I shops around..

Get yourself a laser 5750 or similar under engine support ,so much easier than blocks of wood😀

I’ve tackled almost every job on my cars from brakes to shocks/springs, injectors etc etc but I draw the line at tackling the timing belt. That’s one for the pros.

Please give more details about the car next time - for example 1.5 litre Duratorq (diesel) to avoid misunderstandings. And perhaps show in more detail how and where the flywheel is blocked if necessary, what is required to do this, remove the starter etc. Otherwise I can only praise you for your work.

I do mention right at the start of the video when engine it is buddy... And yes totally agree but it is hard making content while doing the work, but all these pointers you've given will be taken on board for next time 🤙

Smashed it again but I have a question if you don't mind? My wife has a 2014 audi a3 8v and the passenger rear window regulator has gone. Easy enough to fix but I am wondering is there a special tool or trick to getting the window out of the regulator.so you can then remove the regulator its self? Thanks Baz
