I totally agree about suburb thrifting being better. I’m from a nyc suburb but recently went thrifting in rural ohio and had my mind blown, it was so good out there similar to how you feel about thrifting in small coastal towns. Also tbh i always have fun at small church thrift shops but they have very random hours

I'm not in NYC, but the prices in DC area are similar. Even goodwill/salvation army prices are like $8-25 depending on the item. I've found church run thrift store have better prices lol

Thrifting in nyc does actually suck so much I’m ngl, I have family in the city and when I visited them last week I joked about going shopping and they were like. “People come to the city to thrift… we leave the city to thrift.”
