Have been noticing a large amount of caddis fly larvae in the stomachs of the stocked trout I've been harvesting lately. Been trying to figure out the best ways i can mimic them. My best guess is bottom hopping green trout magnets or powerbait trout worms on 1/64 oz jig head. That and finding a good fly that I can float under a bobber. Either way, I hope that I've just cracked the code for winter trout in my area. It definitely seems to be their favorite. At first I was confused why they seemed to eat so many leaves. But now that I know... I am so excited to give it a go my next time out
Discovered a caddisfly larvae for the first time the other day didn't know what the fuck it was saw it imitating bird poop in its design and nicknamed it the "shit sucker".
Hi Jack. I work as an instructional designer for a UN water group based in University College Cork in Ireland. Im building a course on freshwater quality monitoring. Would you mind if i included this video in the slides? I would link it back to here or your website.
@@Chasingscalesspecieshunt Great thanks. Search for GEMS UCC if you'd like to take a look. It's a capacity development group working with UNEP and nested in an educational setting. No profit : )
