I have the Heatwave Recoil 2 and ran it a few times and had none of the problems you have. But I would say a good starter boat if you familiar with RCs. Also Ironclad RC has few other videos about this boat.

I think the issues I had were minor. Great starter boat yeah.
I did check out ironclad rc vids on this boat.

I have a 6S Pro-boat impulse 32, it has been a great boat. I put a leopard hobby 1800kv motor in it and a 180a hobbywing Esc. I bought a heavy duty flex shaft for it because the stock ones were twisting in half. It is a hand full now. I also have a Traxxas 8S Xmaxx with Treal hubs, upgraded steering servo, threaded hinge pins and a BEC installed for quicker steering and It is a blast to run.

I’m gonna get more experience with this first and will probably move to 6s boats soon later dish the line. Yours sounds like a rocket!!!

@@rcexpatshk That Recoil looks good to me. I just got back into the hobby last year. I had a Kyosho Jetstream 1000 boat in the late 90's and the last RC car I owned was a Tamiya Gravel hound. I may pick up a another car that runs on 3s or 6s. I am also looking hard at the Wltoys 144010.

What caused it to break? Anything I should look out for? I just got one and will be taking it out soon. My first boat also!

Make sure the coupler is tight and get plenty of spare push rod connectors. That’s the known weak point for this one. Luckily they’re pretty cheap.
