36 years ago Legendary Sudirman Gave us the memorable concert Today another hero comes along Polishing the hidden CK gems That not even all KLites r aware of.
Used to stay in this area in the 1970's. Chow Kit has changed tremendously! Your video is great and very well presented. Looking forward to more videos from you.
My only memory of Chow Kit Road was my parents used to bring me to the famous supermarket in Chow Kit Road in the 80s known as Hankyu Jaya located opposite Pasar Chow Kit. Behind Hankyu Jaya if you walk beside the lorong, there used to have one stall selling delicious fried raddish. But I think it is not there anymore now.
Just about to visit Chow Kit. This was a great video to help me with my trip, I am going to Man Tao Bar, Ah Heng Food Corner, Kin Kin Restaurant,Tian Ya Ker Pan Mee, Taste Legendary Nasi Lemak… “I need to buy you a coffee” for a thank you.
Hey man. Enjoying the channel and your personality. Love how you do street food and hit the higher end places as well. We are here in KL for a while and appreciate the recommendations.
Another great video. Didnt even know Chow Kit is a person name 😅. You just brought back memories of Sin Hwa Bee biscuit shop which i used to go with my father. Thanks CK👍
Hehe, dear CK, I'm CK too. Sorry that I have paid too much attention to your video and came across one typo error, "alumni to Penang Free School", regarding Mr. Loke Chow Kit, overall, the video is wonderful, will pay a visit to Chow Kit this coming weekend. Cheers!
I especially like the food outlets you recommended. How about at the end of your video, have a summary of all the places of interest that were presented in the video.
Your videos are very interesting and informative. I've been to Chow Kit before and even was thinking to go there soon for a proper explore, it has its special vibes and from your video, I just concluded I haven't come here at all 😀. Thanks for sharing bro!
Thanks for the valuable information about the history of Chow Kit. Your knowledge and ability to collect helpful tips are always perfect! The nasi lemak you introduced looks so yummy. KL is one of my favorite towns, and nasi lemak is also one of my favorites. If I make it there, I'll absolutely try this nasi lemak. Your videos always attract me.
I remember watching the interview on netflix between the nasi lemak owner and Axian regarding the origin of the business. A good breakdown on their dishes and focus of the rice. Haven't had one for over a decade plus.
Haa...always enjoy your history lessons on Malaysia,I have an inkling that the Chinese Malaysians were very involved in building the country's economy, being very business savvy...nasi lemak for breakfast surely look more delicious than our boring cereal...this Chow Kitt is now on our list when we visit..is there a transit to get there easily ?

Hi really like your videos! I’m travelling solo to KL and may stay at the Chow Kit! Do you miss a pool? And anywhere in KL where you can acess a public rooftop pool?
Ive been to KL and Penang many times but Ive never try to ride the metro … and im going back in August staying for awhile in Penang then in KL . I ❤️Malaysia , its unique culture and food .. ❤️more power to you 😎🥰🇨🇦
Pantang-lah ! The perceived "back yard shack" location has bring decades of luck & success for this nasi lemak business. Relocation may not be an option for the superstitious Chinese businessman.
This Nasi Lemak man's business could have suffered very badly during Covid lockdown & travel restrictions. He is now working very hard to recoup the Covid losses amidst current days of rising living cost. Therefore could not even afford to renovate current business premises even if he wants to. I feel for such small business struggling to survive during this tough economic situation.

Hi really like your videos! I’m travelling solo to KL and may stay at the Chow Kit! Do you miss a pool? And anywhere in KL where you can acess a public rooftop pool?
There's no public rooftop pool. Chinwoo in Chinatown is the best
The only time I heard of Chow Kit is Konsert Sudirman at Chow Kit
Oh ok! LOL
Don’t get me wrong C K, I love your videos. Just trying to correct your Malaysian English and pronounciation.
no worries
Sir, i think you have to write the price for each of the food too
I'll think about it
Would be helpful if you mention the price of the food that you ordered.
Thanks for the suggestion
Can you also showcase other restaurants run by other culture in Malaysia.
Sure 👍🏻
I love the background music - who is the singer? 😄
Don't fight it baby by Bang Bang
Thank you CK! The Nasi Lemak looks really delicious. May i know the distance from Chow Kit Hotel to the Nasi Lemak breakfast place please?
From the hotel I featured in my video? If that's the case then it's about 15 mins walk. Thanks for watching
