Happy to see that your yield has picked up, this dry hot summer was no blessing to any of the southern farmers. Ah well, gotta take the bitter with the sweet I suppose. Your mention of the June corn sure brought back some memories for me, my wife's grandmother gave me dire warning about planting what she called "June Corn" was hardly worth the trouble. Man was she ever right! Gotta listen to some of these old gray heads, lot's of sense at times. Good to see you fasten that seat belt before you went on the highway, a good lesson for us all.
Hey Kelly your dog is looking after you , hes doing his job. Dogs are mans best friend he will do whatever it takes to make sure your protected. Or you left a couple dog biscuits in a lunchbox lol.
Our dogs follow alongside tractor and chase whatever gets flushed out. Hawks will start soaring whenever a tractor just starts up. Small rabbits, field mice and snakes don't stand a chance when their covers blown!
I hope your yield goes up I was watching a Brian’s farm from Ohio and they were doing some 60 bushel corn and 30 bushel beans and then they got into some 130 corn but a normal crop on the bottom land would be 200 plus bushels corn
@@griggsfarmsllc I will start pulling for Bama as soon as you do! LOL! And that will be NEVER! I do however pull for the Vols. Neyland Stadium and surrounding area is beautiful this time of year too. Just being at a game when the leaves are changing is incredible and back in the mid 90's and it took 'the stang' outta Peyton whooping us. Hope Helene doesn't put your cotton on the ground.
Matt, you probably get asked this alot but why the wide rows? Im in central missouri and very seldom see that. When i do its because they run what they got and nothing wrong with that. Yours is all modern equipment
Because we use the same planter to plant cotton and harvest efficiency of cotton on 38” rows is much better. We’re too small of an operation to afford 2 different planters for the different row spacing with all the technology on our planter.
Do you sell Halloween shirts. I love your videos Kelly and Andy are super cool of course you are to Matt. Watching from western Idaho, a lot of corn grown in western south central Idaho.
I guess you realixe that blowing your extreamly dusty air filter like that just lets a lot of that dirt settle inside the filter then get sucked right into your engine.
@@todd1808 Yes, If the filter does not have a seconday filter as Matts does then yes they are doing it wrong. You can watch the dirt going inside that filter.

Are the stalks the same height or do they vary also affecting the ear height.
Stalks are same height
are you planning to make videos about other brands?
You need to get you one of them air filter blowers
I’ve got one. Head was broke on it
Did you see any affect on the trees where you ran the ripper around the fields?
No
How much is this machine?
What editing app do you use Matt?
Adobe Premiere Pro
I guess you realixe that blowing your extreamly dusty air filter like that just lets a lot of that dirt settle inside the filter then get sucked right into your engine.
There’s a secondary element inside the filter housing that does not get blown out and catches that dust.
A million farmers must be doing it wrong......
Never blow ours out now have less trouble with them we just replace it every season
