I have found that qualifying a lead is the ticket to saving time! Targeting the right clients has helped me minimize the objection of my services costing too much! Thanks for the new perspectives 🤙
NOTE: I have not yet watched your video, I'm just answer the question. Of course I have heard this before. I've actually said it before. Just one thing to note: if your prices are too high for someone, then that individual is either not in a financial place to afford your services or that individual is not someone you want to take on as a client. If it's the former, don't tell them that they can't afford to not buy your services. It's very rude to say that to people that may end up homeless and going without food if they pay for your services. Very rude! If it's the latter, that person is toxic and you don't need them in your circle. Don't think you will be able to change their mind. They will do you more harm than any good you can do for them. I had people tell me: "You're not supposed to be trying to make money, your supposed to just do it for Jesus." Their toxicity caused failure, not the success they claimed to join the team for and wanted. My current policy with such individuals is to disassociate myself from them immediately and do not bother to try and convince them that your services are worth the fee you are charging. In fact, I may decide to make a point of doubling my fees just for them. Just a quick question: Has the individual payed for your services? If not, then the individual is not your client and should not be addressed as such.
Gosh! This is so so IMPORTANT! I notice when I do 50% off or something. I get the most ask for refunds and clients that really aren't committed to the work. When I don't do this I almost never get these clients. It's such a valuable video. Thank you!
10% of your clients will take 90% of your time - i no longer deal with "them" i send them to others - serious people only! i can say that after 35 years in business
this applies to ALL areas of life, not even just business! If we let someone break our boundaries in the very beginning, that sets the president for the entire relationship!
So many years of people undermining my pricing. I'm in a pretty specialized business and still, for years, I had clients feel like they could cross this boundary. I even had one client who had the fortitude to tell me what he would pay for certain items. Needless to say, I promptly ended that relationship. It's not easy though. When you consider overhead costs and everything involved it is hard to turn away business but, it is 100% worth it in the long-term. I stopped thinking that everyone that walked in my studio was a 'drop-in-the-bucket' to make the rent and focused on working with people who respect what I can do for them and understand that my skill comes at a non-negotiable cost. I mean, I can't walk into a Starbucks and say that I'm only going to pay $1 for my Venti coffee so why should anyone be able to do that to me, right?
This is 100% correct. Take note everyone! The moment you discount your worth, you open the doors to allow people to disrespect you, and not value what you do! You get boxed in as a commodity, which is bad positioning! You want to differentiate and specialize your services in such a way that you aren’t treated as a commodity.

“If you are not committed to making this work” Great advice! I recently worked with a family member doing SMM for him and his business. He wasn’t committed and I realized after he is the client that I would want to stay away from. He wasn’t willing to do or get me what I needed to make him successful. We had success, but could have had MUCH more if he had been committed. Great video!
OMG you are the best! It's not about the money. I offer value. I offer quality. The rates are the rates and I'm worth it. Are you worth it? Then don't discount. Are you not worth it? Get better! YES!!!
This is amazing and the summary of what we have learned in the last two years since starting our business- having the power to walk away is such a blessing! We too scrambled at first and were desperate- which led to some challenging clients and stress (which we are still grateful for - it was a learning opportunity). Now we know how long things will take and what it’s worth and can charge three times as much, because it’s what we should have done from the start! And just like you mentioned - we know have clients that seek us out and don’t ever question price. Thanks for all the value you add to our lives and business! 😘💕❤️
So true. The one time I let a client dictate my pricing and let her have a discount, she has been a nightmare ever since, and since my service is something you have every year or so, I dread seeing her as each time it's a headache! Learnt that lesson at least!
I do ghostwriting and I've had a few people like that. I know I do a great job and all my previous customers were happy to pay the price so I don't even deal with people that try to talk me down
That’s so true! Every single customer who said that and we provided discounts or add ons, were such pain in the a**. Moreover none if them was appreciative or ethical. So I just learnt that better not to work with those people.
Amen! Pricing is never so black and white that one person’s comment should influence your decision! I’ve been in biz for 20 years - with good pricing strategies and bad. Trust me when I say, good pricing (the kind you can feel confident with!) means looking at so many angles. It’s not just about picking a number that excites you. It’s about being a smart business person. (I did a vid on this topic a few months ago too!) Love your strategies Sunny!
Big Take Away today: You're 3 final questions to make them re-think their original idea that your price is too high. What is it costing them to NOT invest in your service or product! I love the simplicity and the depth of those three questions. Making your prospects show you that they are willing and committed and that they won't become an 'energy sapping' client. If you have a sales video, you can also incorporate those questions on your close for sure. Love it! Thanks Sunny! Big BIG hugs!
A number of entrepreneurs don't have income protection contracts in place. I ran into a health issue shortly after going solo and didn't have to use any of my own money on housing, bills and car payment while recovering because of my contract. There is also an overhead expense contract, which could even pay overhead on your business location. One of my client's annual premium for $1k/mo for a year on her location was just $340.00 (she's a hairstylist). This can be part of that "runway". I paid $42/mo which gave me enough to cover housing and expenses. Obtaining income protection contracts can be very cost effective and provides a shield of protection. This keeps you from having to borrow from family/friends and can keep you independent.
For sure. Especially for personal training and online coaching. It's a constant struggle but over the years I've learned to not compromise value just for a sale and to give over the top service so the cost doesn't become an issue.
You're something else!! Sold!! Been in sales all my life. Heard and bought many training programs for my people over the years. I want your program to share with my kids and grandkids. What a dynamo!!! Thanks, Mike

I am an Iranian/Italian business woman who just started my own business and your videos are soooooo helpful to me! all of them! thank you thank you thank you....!!
One of the worst client I had was a free shoot a good year ago. Shoot was free/collaboration shoot so I could build my portfolio. She was a full one hour late! Didn't share my work nor tagged me and came back to me a year later complaining that she no longer finds the pictures. She thought if I send a Google drive link it will be on her Google from that on. Even tried to ask me to contact Google... Fast forward to this morning. Got a request for a collaboration free shoot by an influencer. Told her about my prices and recommended her some other photographers who might do TFP. Than she asked for a discount. And this is the critical bit! I didn't give her a discount from a 2 hour shoot but offered her an extra hour for free. She is very happy now and we both look forward to the shoot!
This video brings so much value. Thanks to this video I went in a meeting where I knew my customer wanted to ask a price reduction and I simply won. Hands down. No dispute. So grateful to you Sunny for this amazing video. ❤️
Under $1000 is a wonderful price for the natural acne healing!!! My folks would’ve paid 10x that to cure mine back in the day. Same for my cousin who had to go on Accutane.
Okay, I have to say that I've seen quite a few (very good) videos tackling this subject....but yours is the best, by a running mile! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and perspective. 🙏🙏🙏💚❤️
Thank you so much for this business. Being a Mobile Auto Detailer I run across this all the time. Admittedly at first I fell trap to sacrificing my price to gain clientele. However after being burned more than once. I have now started putting my foot down. In many cases it pays off big time. I had a customer tell me they could get it cheaper somewhere else. I now have them booked to fix what the other guy messed up and they are paying full price for it as well.
My experience is the opposite. I got more resistance when my price was a lot cheaper than my competition. The year I increased my price to be 20% more expensive than my closest competitor I increased my client list by 45% in one year. I was then perceived as the best in the industry and I was SHOCKED!!
This is so amazing and informative! I really like working with clients that I love instead of those who give headaches. Charging for your worth gives you more reasons to love your business and not stress me out. Thank you for the video
This was a struggle for me when I first started! 🤦🏽♀️. I love the chart to distinguish the difference. Don’t allow the client the break your boundary! This is SPOT ONNNNNNNN. I love the content sis. Keep it coming. ❤️
You are incredible. The occasional laughs you make keep us refreshed and refocussed on the topic. I think that's your main secret, in case u dont know yet. And your eyes and enthusiasm keep us glued! Wow! Im here to stay!
Lady Sunny! A couple of friends have recommended your channel to me, but this is the first time that I've actually taken the time to watch one of your videos. I'm so pleased I did. This is BRILLIANT! Loved the gems you dropped here. Very valuable and helpful to people in ANY line of work. Appreciate you taking the time to share this with us.
I don't know why it took me so long to discover you! But now that I have, Sunny, I must say that I love your work! Thanks for what you do. I'll be binge watching your content!
I really your style, you come across as so friendly and open with your advice. It is amazing how many comments and likes you get so quickly, I am here early too, and not disappointed, love your videos!
@@SunnyLenarduzzi I am so impressed that you cared enough to respond to my comment, you really do practice what you preach - THANKS that was nice to see!
I work in motion picture... I provide services and equipment... I get the "Your Price is Too High" all of the time! Now I know how to respond! Thank you Sunny for the great business tutorial! Awesome, is an understatement! Big Thumbs up!!!
Yes I agree. I've decided to lift the price of my online courses to $1k level and I feel better already as I know clients will take the material a lot more dedicated to making it work for them.
This is probably the best video I’ve seen on the topic. ❤️ the way you explained it all and how classy the response is when you talk about it being too high. Definitely will use this in the future ☺️
You are ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Honestly, from all my heart. I have been there too, it still hurts you, I mean when those memories of being penniless crawl out. I suppose one can never forget. Thanks for being so inspiring. I hope more and more people watch this video and become your golden ambassadors!
I just had a client try to negotiate me down when I already gave her a lot off my original price. I just reminded her kindly of the organic services im providing and why my clients are willing to pay a little extra for those benefits of my services. I am however expecting her to make me a crazy person sometime in the near future, lol but because it was a referral from a client I've had for over 5 years i will help her. But the second bounderies are crossed im out! You must not degrade your worth for money because it will end up costing you time! And i dont know about you but i value my time more than money. If we're honest, time is money!!! Just dont stray from your pricing. Ive done it so many times snd ive done extra work o dont want to do and i can tell you that it will keep you in a hustle and struggle routine. "Know your competitors, set yourself apart, and stand your ground" you will find the clients that love your services, known your worth, and appreciate you. Leaving you pleasantly surprised with extra tips and raises and loving your job!
Very Impressed with this video and the way in which the whole concept was explained. I must say that each and every tip is most practical. Thanks Sunny and I have learnt a lot .
I listened to this 10 times because I am getting resistance where they compare me to the gimmicks they did in the past and it's hard to get past that. Thanks for this!
I used to have my compassion pimped as a Healer, time and time again my services were undervalued because I didn't value me. Once I figured out that it all starts from within, I made sure to stay working on myself first thing daily. Kept my rituals sacred and slowly but surely my perspective and vibrations shifted me into a better Energy field
This is one of those videos that have struck a deep chord in me. This relates to me so much in my business. I totally respect you and your research and presentation on this topic. This is what I was looking for for a long, long time. I feel you're the best in this field. Thanks so much for uplifting my spirits.
As a freelancer that's just starting out this really resonated with me. I'm always hesitant to give a price that resembles my worth because I don't want to lose the client. So far it's worked all but one time though! But I did get completely ghosted by a client once after giving them my cost🙄
Alexandra Strambu Very Very normal! Most of them aren’t ready to pay the price ...but hey! Keep your head high and move on to the next one... Volume will bring the right ones!
And don’t forget, they are not actually a client until you have contracted to work with them and/or money has exchanged hands. Until then, they are just a person interested in your product or services.
Focusing on long game is the most important step in order to succeed in business. Any short term decision hurt in the future. Thank you Sunny for this awesome presentation ❤️
Thank you!!! This is so important and I experience this regularly, people try to low ball you and in the end I'll end up with no money if I lower my prices but they just don't understand the value I'm giving them!
This is gold! 💛 I love you much integrity you have in your marketing. I'm in your TH-cam for Bosses course and it's the one of the best decisions I've ever made!
thank you so much, this was so great. I struggle with this alot and feel mean as people find a million reason on why they cannot do it and why they do not have the money and you are so spot on with this.. Always people who ask for discount without sounding funny turn up to me the worst clients ever so much expectations and little apperation.. it such a pattern x
This is the kind of advice i feel like i would have asked my mom "what should i say" And im so glad you could answer this! As a choreographer i constantly hear this. People expect me to prepare a whole choreography (which sometimes take me days to prepare) and expect to pay 25 euros for it. I've obviously never agreed to that but it's so helpful to have this different insight and response! Thankyou sunny 😊💙
Sunny thank you so much. I have read countless sales books but this is the first time some has really broken down the process on how to reframe price objections with a client. You're an awesome mentor I really appreciate your videos.
Needed this I’ve been creating a program and have gone so many places on pricing (SOOO low at first, then moderate, and actually watching this video helped me finalize my price I think!)
This is exactly the type of valuable information I've been wanting to know. And the funny part is that I didn't search for your video, it just appeared on my feed. I'm currently starting my own business as a freelancer and I am already experience exactly what you talked about in the beginning of your video. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and for teaching us how to avoid those mistakes.
This is such a big question/event that will occur to pretty much every single person entering the field! Really like how you summarized how to work around this issue Sunny!
So weird Sunny! I feel like this video is meant for me! Thank you so much!!! My membership registration begins tomorrow and I was wondering about the prices. I do see a lot of top photographer membership at a low price so I always am debating about my prices. I totally agree that my ICA wouldn't take the time to work like they should at a lower price!
Great video! As a business owner I can say I totally agree. Set competitive prices with confidence and don’t be afraid to stand by them. You will always have people asking for discounts, and the only way I will accommodate it is with an “up sell” for even more services or products than they originally asked for with a slight discount, but never be afraid to respond “thanks for your interest in the product there aren’t any discounts available for this one item, we can offer a package deal for ....”. Sometimes people forget the business is your livelihood and they’re just trying to get a deal, lol. thanks for sharing Sunny!
Excellent video Sunny! That acne metaphor was very powerful for me as someone that battled that for pretty much all of my life. After seeing dozens of doctors and destroying my health with the most powerful meds, I was worse off than when I started. The holding your ground on pricing is what I should have done with my personal training business, but I learned a lot from those mistakes that I use today as a Marketing Professional. Thank you for this content rich video 👊🏻💥👊🏻
Your videos are really reassuring me that my idea for a course actually seems valid and like it will work! I'm thinking of starting a TH-cam channel and creating a course to teach artists how to start a career in freelance illustration like I've been able to do. There is very little information about this, even in college. We learn the trade (to draw) but not how to find and get clients, how to get an agent, how to communicate properly with clients and get them to hire you again in the future, etc. The best available advice is to post your art on social media and wait for people to "discover" you and hit you up. In my experience this is too passive at the beginning of a career and not a strategy you can actually depend on. According to this video, the cost to my ideal client of not taking my course would be possibly years of lost income for not being able to start their career sooner! Also the emotional toll of not getting their dream career and feeling unfulfilled. And possibly an expensive art school diploma going to waste because they are not working in their field. I may be able to charge quite a bit for this!
This of course works for coaching etc but this is not the case for many b2b services. They usually have a set budget that they cannot adjust. It’s not a matter of being more desirable or being the premium option so that people can save money to afford it.
It does tend to be a bit of a longer cycle when working with businesses rather than individuals as there are more decision makers in place, but we have seen it work!
This is very helpful for people who do quality work & have high prices. For me, i try to make things affordable for my t shirt business so people will want to come back & buy more items. I think for small businesses they should start with affordable prices so they can build a decent clientele & then start slowly bumping up the price. I want shop to be accessible for everyone cuz i know some people don't have that big money like that so i try to be fair. It all depends on what you are offering. That's just my thoughts
I haven’t seen her this fired up in many videos. Lots of energy. Obviously she is really interested in helping people. Sunny’s energy makes me more aware of what’s being said. Learning is easier.
A bunch of nice lady’s talk about ache and food. Don’t be ashamed of being natural. People are people. Everyone’s biological makeup is different. Strong people are independent and proud to be so. This is why I like Sunny’s videos
Excellent recap Sunny. I would just add that in order to do #1 (recap) successfully the seller should have asked enough questions of the client prior to getting into pricing so that you can recap on what THEY told YOU not what you (as the seller) assumes. Also your #3 (you call it Fit, I call it Take Away) is expert level! Great job!
Amen! Thank you for this video Sunny, this issue just cropped up with one of my strategic partners so I thought I'd watch this before posting in our AA community!
Thanks for this Sunny. this used to be something i would absolutely fear on a sales call but it was because i simply didn't know how to react. With my business in fashion It would surprise me because if someone says they cant afford i then i struggle to understand how they expect to pay for the needs of a fashion business that requires a lot of upfront costs. It used to baffle me, annoy and frustrate me. (ANY OTHER FASHION BIZ COACHES HERE LET ME KNOW IF THAT IS YOU TOO!) After continuous calls i realised the same answers would come up. I then decided to change my sign up form to reduce these responses so they had to cancel that out on the form or even not sign up if the form showed them that they were not eligible. But thanks your video is uber useful for one of the struggles in business.
Hi Sunny, Thaks so much for inspiring me to break down my course visions into a manageable journey of discovery. I grew up in West Point Grey and attended summer Whitecaps Soccer Camps with your father Bobby! He was super and inspired me in so many ways. In those days going to a Whitecaps game was a highlight for so many of us. Blessings Sasha :-)
Sunny, first of all I absolutely LOVE your personality. You have really inspired me and taught me so much that has led to me starting my own channel. Thanks so much for your information and genuine personality!!
☕🌺🌞 50% OFF is a DEATH SENTENCE for service based businesses! Highest I'd go (from years of selling tarot readings) is a 20% off coupon for a larger package. Introductory offers are good too so you can see if the person is a good fit but get paid for the time. The RIGHT clients will always see your worth and pay what you ask. Value yourself, your business, your future and your work! Especially if you want to help people achieve their goals or get use out of whatever you're selling.
Thanks so much for watching! Have you ever heard this objection from your client? Let me know in the comments.
Sunny Lenarduzzi all the time, I am glad you are making this video! Thank you! ♥️
Nope still so new not making offers correctly yet.

She is very happy now and we both look forward to the shoot!
That is a brilliant way to handle it! Your concept can be applied to many different industries.
Thanks for sharing the example.
@@pat4005 Thank you Pat
This video brings so much value. Thanks to this video I went in a meeting where I knew my customer wanted to ask a price reduction and I simply won. Hands down. No dispute. So grateful to you Sunny for this amazing video. ❤️
EXCELLENCE in explaining worth, especially if said business is a one-person show!
Yetti Auto Detailing I love this!
My experience is the opposite. I got more resistance when my price was a lot cheaper than my competition. The year I increased my price to be 20% more expensive than my closest competitor I increased my client list by 45% in one year. I was then perceived as the best in the industry and I was SHOCKED!!
I’ve had this stuck in my head and I haven’t even started selling anything yet 🙈
This is spot on. I now feel more confident charging higher!
I really your style, you come across as so friendly and open with your advice. It is amazing how many comments and likes you get so quickly, I am here early too, and not disappointed, love your videos!
Aww... thanks so much! Glad you liked it!
@@SunnyLenarduzzi I am so impressed that you cared enough to respond to my comment, you really do practice what you preach - THANKS that was nice to see!
Gems as usual Sunny 💎
Thanks so much! So glad it was helpful!
I agree! Sunny you did an amazing job breaking it all down, thank you!
YOU ARE SO FRIGGEN RIGHT!
There are a lot of people that will say your price is too high, no matter what the price.
The transformation is what people pay for. Well said!
I agree with you :)!
AMEN! You can always know who's going to be a thorn in your side. Go with your gut. Than you good call.
Amen indeed!! In this case, we should be saying A-Woman! Thank you Sunny! 💖
lol lovethis
@@AfricaFashionGuide 😉😉
Focusing on long game is the most important step in order to succeed in business. Any short term decision hurt in the future. Thank you Sunny for this awesome presentation ❤️
Kolyo Dan you are so right. So many people don’t look to the future.
Thank you!!! This is so important and I experience this regularly, people try to low ball you and in the end I'll end up with no money if I lower my prices but they just don't understand the value I'm giving them!
Great video! Business sales is overcoming objections
Charging your worth all starts up here 🧠
AMEN!! You got to stand your ground 👍
Fantastic upload 👌👌
This is gold! 💛 I love you much integrity you have in your marketing. I'm in your TH-cam for Bosses course and it's the one of the best decisions I've ever made!
Sunny is so bomb at what she does man! She never ceases to impress me!
Amen!! I need to put this in my everyday life for real . I am so serious. It makes sense. Thank you 🙏🏽 Sunny.
We are just getting ready to post a new product this week. This was perfect timing. THANK YOU!!!!!!
thank you so much, this was so great.
I love your videos Sunny. And this one has SO MUCH VALUE! wow, I'm stocked. Thanks for sharing with us all.
This is such a big question/event that will occur to pretty much every single person entering the field! Really like how you summarized how to work around this issue Sunny!
Okay I really hope im gonna remember this because it is gold!!!
Thank you for this content rich video 👊🏻💥👊🏻
appreciate your kindness, thank YOU!
Sunny Lenarduzzi You are welcome and keep being you 😎
Amen to the point regarding bad clients 🙏🏽
Definitely needed to see this video today as I'm working on pricing my course in the Build phase! The algorithm knew hehe 😉😉😉
Some people want something for nothing not appreciating the work it takes to create a product
This video is exactly what I needed to hear Sunny! You are an American Hero!
This video is great. Sunny is very passionate lady about what she does. These videos are great. I love them
I haven’t seen her this fired up in many videos.
This is so spot-on 100% correct!
The best video!!! Thank you so much for this, had so many struggles as I am closing new clients. Helped a lot, going to implement this asap.
Another great video. It's so important to realise your worth and charge appropriately.
Super valuable information! Thank you for sharing! Love the pro's and con's list! Eye opening!👏
This Makes total total sense because I've been wrestling with this where to set my price point
Awesome! Happy to help!
Amen! Love this Sunny! Thank you! I give in on pricing every now and then and totally end up with those total pain in the A#$ clients!
This is a great way to address pricing
"AMEN" Agreed on that!
I liked the last page on Cost, Compare & FIt! Good tips
