Cherry waves is pretty much my fave song by deftones ever. I wanna play it at my wedding ngl. As someone who deals with a lot of mental illness issues, it kinda hits home bc I know there’s gonna be times where my significant other is gonna see me “drown in the waves” so to say. I don’t expect them to go down under for me and risk themselves being hurt but if someone is going to, I’ll be forever grateful. I would never hesitate to go under for someone myself as I know how dark and vast that depth can be, and to deal with it alone is the worst feeling ever.
