I wish there was an option to do premier drafts at the quick draft buy-in/payout rate. I much prefer drafting with actual players but the current structure is so punishing if you don't pick up at least 3 wins. The added stress of potentially losing a lot of gems really makes it hard to have fun with the draft and forces me a lot of the time to draft safe decks instead of experimenting with something more spicy.
The format was Throne of Eldrain and you could get busted mill deck every time before they fixed the bots to draft blue so the red aggro became busted :D Good old times :D
48:10 With 20 minutes of video left and 2 losses, I was scratching my head trying to figure out how the opponent could possibly throw this game away. They figured it out though.
I THINK the way the bots' drafting logic works is they just take the cards that have the highest pick rate from real players, then once the bot is in a colour pair they stick to picking those colours, or something like that. Fairly sure that's the reason they don't open it till 2 weeks after premium draft starts, so they can gather data on pick preferences from real players for the bots to use. I don't find my quick drafts look TOO different from premium drafts. But I think in this format the bots don't go for 4-5 colour soup as much as other players would due to them prioritising cards in their colours.
I think I'm not alone in enjoying the salty Kenji this draft. Glad we got to see the turn around though, was a real fun experience watching you go from 0-2 to 7-2. Honestly that's the best way to get 7 wins if you ask me, you had your back against the wall but didn't give up!
I’m definitely the one with a kid who tries to draft while she’s occupied and then she’s suddenly running across the house to do some mischief. Quickdraft is nice to have as an option😂
Something definitely changed because after playing a bunch of quick drafts, I avoided domain decks because it seemed like the bots prioritized lands REALLY high
I have been liking smash to dust in balmor lists, it clears up chump blockers and the trample from balmor has made it way more relevant than i initially expected.
36:45 ok.. that was hilarious. I added it up before he said anything, but thought they'd block for sure, but I was REALLY hoping they just wouldn't block, then my wish came true.
100% same. I did probably 30-40 Quick drafts in the first DMU window. Cracked all my packs.. Now regretting it because I wont get to play future DMU quick drafts without the feeling of wasted gold.
well, i do get more bang for my money on premier tho. 4 wins is money back and 5 is profit. you need 6 & 7 on quick for that (and i dont feel matches are much different tbh)
I'm super confused, I don't see quick draft for DMU at all, I only see quick draft for Midnight Hunt. I'm in the middle of a premier DMU draft so is that the reason? Anyway, thanks for the vid!
While I prefer premier draft, I do quick draft more often as it let's me walk away as needed and come back when I am able. 3 little ones means quick draft us more convenient.
@@philschnaars The opponent would still have the wall to block if you use twinferno to double strike instead of fork impede. You could hope they don't block like later games.
So, I type exactly what Kenji did in the Search feature "t: crea" and my Arena won't separate the spells from one another. Do you have take the lands out of your deck in order for that to work?
be me, 30 mins in, Kenji is 0-2, See title 'is quick draft too easy?' and say out loud 'NOPE!' then realize video still has a good amount of time left..
I like to see you quick draft. It just ends up feeling much more variance (I play qd exclusively cause ftp), the bots are better fwiw. Some formats geel off (midnight hunt), some play like your people drafts (kamagawa)
@@AslanV380 Alright! If you have drafted in-person before, then premier draft is more suited, because you'll have more control over the draft. Bots just pick good cards; they don't really care which colors are open and which are not in my experience.
I like seeing Quick Draft. It's cheaper to play, even though the payout isn't as worth the premier draft, but it's nice to get to see the cards and take your time. When Neon Dynasty was last around, I got 7 wins 3 times in a row. Quick rank booster (somehow) too.
You are right; you should have won game 1. They were dead on board if you twinferno'd and copied impede momentum. Op was at 15 and tapped out with only 2 blockers. 2 amplifiers and your 2 power flyer -- twinferno to copy impede momentum 3 instants/sorceries cast 3 amplifier triggers, each would be 7 power. 7+7+2 is 16. What a shame. Kiln fiend pauper player here lol.
Wow you actually lost game 2 for the same reason! 27:29 again, if you copy impede momentum with twinferno to get rid of the two blockers and swing out your amplifier would be 7 power plus the 5 from your other 2 creatures is 12. Op at 15 is dead to your three power flyer the following turn after you chump with the extra amplifier in your hand. Perhaps they still would have gained life but you have 3 creatures and if you draw cantrips you probably win.
Once again in game 3 lol. 36:34 if you copy impede momentum and then cast a timely interference and the shore up you would have dealt a total of 14 damage, putting your opponent dead to your flyer the following turn. You ended up winning because op chose not to block, but you could have taken their decision away from them and most likely won the next turn.

but i think he talekd about ravnica where the bot draft also was busted

that one and the defensive heroic charge were very dubious choices
guessing they just got stage fright playing against the great kenji

I feel like if the bots are “stuck in a colour pair” they also don’t like splashing as much, so some of the multi colour cards wheel more often

They don’t prioritize lands in pack 1. They start picking them higher pack 2 onwards.
Yah I think eventually a few bots get domain cards and then take all the lands. They rarely ever wheel

crushed me to tears

Why Kslugs did not attack with all creatures at 56:20?
Salty Nummy is hilarious. So many quotable moments lol
"Feels like everything is lining up perfectly against us" - welcome to quick draft, friend! ;)
felt your pain on these matches. losing to 4 color soup splashing for every good combat trick feels bad.
Nummy you had me cracking up at 49 min in. This is quality. I want to see some testing between bot draft and human. What you got?
As somebody who likes to collect as much of a set as possible and loves limited, I keep playing quick just so I can do more drafts.

Teach the little ones how to draft 👀
@@maxwellromza8390 thats what I did with the switch. I haven't played it since. Lol
I live inside Amazon Forest so yeah quick draft is usually the way to go.
Nois
Anybody know how he's quick drafting DMU? Wondering if it's an old video cause quick draft is Midnight Hunt right now.
Usually takes a few days to get the vid up on TH-cam.
i've been stockpiling drafts since I'll be out of town for a bit - gotta have my vids ready for the tubers!
In my experience, it's basically impossible to get solid kill spells against the bots unless you get them pick 1 or 2 of a pack.
Wait when did you play this draft?
I find every time I wait to kick Amplifier it's the wrong choice.
game 2 could have forked the Impede Momentum, would have bought a lot of time locking down the outrider and Radha
Actually was lethal, impede the rider Twinferno the amplifier he’s at 5 double strike tallas lookout hits for 3 and figment unblockable for the last 2

Do people from Quick Draft get paired with people that drafted regularly or is it a separate queue?
Separate queue
And here I am still struggling with Quick Draft...
Honestly I found premier draft much easier than quick draft. How much experience do you have with premier draft?
@@jebooiii6462 None, i though to learn with Quick first, I'll try a premier :)

Balmor is stupidly good.
I won’t complain again. Two seconds later: I lost the die roll AGAIN, what is going on!? Haha awesome!
slightly better than a goldfish memory I have, nice
4th game reminds me of the adeliz RKO days
I'm pretty shure that it's the same player que for quick draft and premier draft.
I play a lot of quick draft and I think it’s more difficult than premiere imo

i like it kenji
quick drafts double strike quick mafths
Believe in the CLEAVE!
Bots take lands in pack 3. You will saw none there!
Quick draft in mom kinda sucks bc it makes five color really really hard to draft.... The boys weigh the dual lands abnormally high....
Redemption !
Man just from the first pack and half you could of had about 6 strike teams lol. Apparently the bots don't like that card at all.
This looks like every other DOM quick draft I’ve done, so yeah, bots suck.
Are these bots drafting playable decks or just random cards?? I would love to see the BTS of this…
Holy moly, the people in this queue are really bad.

so many paid actors in this draft, unbelievable
