I wonder the same. I know the danger for fires is high due to lack of forest management and dry vegetation but that’s called summer not a drought. I’m sure it has to do with someone making a bunch of money. A lot of news organizations, I’m not saying this one seem to hype things like drought to keep viewers engaged.
