Great to get Ray Columbus's version of the Industry here in NZ around the 60's & 70's. He is so right not many NZ artist were recorded & it was mostly British & American, a splattering of Australian & kiwi. Great memories at these times in NZ. Cheers

Crazy thing was, we had already had NZ singing overseas music and they became popular...why did we black list our own people back then, until there came a 10% NZ music content or something

I like the Hauraki guy. He's trying to go with a sound and that Guest song was not it. Fair enough.

I agree. The Guest number was hopelessly old-fashioned in a year when big hits were Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights, Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street, 10cc - Dreadlock Holiday, Dragon - Are You Old Enough,

Stop playing overseas rubbish and play more New Zealand music like LINK Only Time Could Let Us Know
    Knightshade
    Mi - Sex
Hello Sailor ( etc ) no wonder musicians leave NZ and go to Australia and they claim them as their Own
