Actually "Panzer vor!" is a perfect name for this E 50 M setup. It means "Tanks forward!". The name of a tank Panzer(kampfwagen) IV would be "Panzer vier".
I love these kind of builds. Or even this play style where you catch someone completely off guard and ram them or run them over. The panic that you can see is hilarious!
I love to do that to unsupecting behind-rock-hiders in an artillery. Ever got caught by a racing M44, that rams your lovely T34/85 to death? That could very well have been me 😁

I feel like this is more like the most fun consumable, the best consumable is probably turbo given QB has been slapping turbos on everything since equipment 2.0. Glad to see QB really enthusiastic about this, it’s a good thing to find more fun ways to play the game
it isn't the best. the best is improved hardening and by a large margin.CVS also changed map dynamics for light tanks
In a competitive and stat padding perspective turbo is likely 3rd best equipment. QB definitely isn't the person to follow for builds as his infatuation with vents is just comical at this point. Hardening is the best equipment not for the HP but for the track hp. If you have bond hardening and the trach hp field mod with chieftain then you might only get orange damage from even 128 calibre shells as long as they roll avg or lowrolls which is rather useful, also whenever your tracks repair themselves then they'll be at full hp. On top of this you get a nice HP boost as well and with exp hardening on tanks that get ammoracked a lot or that burn often you can decrease the risks of that happening albeit have less track hp and tank hp in return. The second best equipment, albeit controversial is the gun rammer. And it doesn't improve your dpg unless you are actually shooting on reload, you can have a more patient and trade based playstyle where youre not shooting on reload and then the rammer is a wasted slot, but just having that dpm can help carve out 1-3 extra shots per game which is not insignificant. And then comes the turbo which is very very useful on tanks with low top speed and also improves reverse speed which is oh so important for ridgelines etc. If you slap it on an already fast tank then the difference isn't all too big and often times you will get more out of grousers, or forego the turbo and use vert stab or optics or whatever. So for meds and heavys and most TDs hardening, rammer and turbo/grousers is likely the most competitive loadout. For arty you likely wanna run rammer, IAU and vents if possible(better accuracy and reload which are the 2 things that matter for arty) or if you cant equip vents then binos or turbo to spot or get into position faster. For lights CVS is a must, optics and binos can be interchanged and low noise exhaust is often your 3rd equipment. You can forego the LNE for both optics and binos to really offer that deep vision to help clear out very camp heavy scenarios but binos dont work on all maps. These equipments would be S tier for their respective classes and every other equipment is B tier or lower in comparison mostly because of how situational they are. IAU and vert stab and IRM don't always work and don't support a very aggressive playstyle but are better for patient trade based players. Then there is another gap and every other equipment is D tier or lower.

Back in the days I remember Spall Liner being called the worst by alot of players.
I laughed alot back then when I used a Spall Liner. My enemies kept getting angry and confused why they deal so little ramming dmg and I dealt alot.

pro tip: beside using spall liner, you can also grind rammer skill to increase the ram resistance & damage further, they do great together👍
What we saw here were 2 typical WoT battles.
Second one 15:3, and the first combo of all we love 15:4 in 5 minutes, where 5m is still a lot by today's standards.

This reminds me of the good old Aufkl. Panther. I remember ramming into equal tier light tanks and killing them on the spot.
CK did a comparison test on the spall liner. After numerous shots between his friend and himself he showed not having the liner equated to less module damage and crew knockouts than with it.
i see that and yes if you recall it seam to make the artys shot track him like heat seeker arty was aimed at the ground in front to the right to the left shots all hit and hit hard yet without the liner much less damage and even missed him from close range full aimed

I remember trying to build a couple of tanks with the intent of ramming enemies. I remember trying to build the Tier 6 British medium and I think I tried it briefly with the E25 just for fun. It didn't go well generally but, when it paid off, it was hilarious fun :) Seems like it might be more viable now.

I compared the speed increase in tanksgg and it seemed like grousers gave a bigger boost to speed. Are grousers better for these 2 tanks or have I made some misunderstanding?
This should be a serie. Silly setups by Quicky Baby. I must confess I found it very fun. Example: I thought Spall liner was only to counter arty shots.
This is specially good if you have jack of all trades on comander :P and premium turbo is also so good.

It helps to have pain tolerance for that extra 20% crew survivability too. Between that and spall liner you got 70% extra crew hp.

I put a spall liner on my Crommie.I also have controlled impact on the Crommie driver. I haven’t had much occasion to check it out yet but interested see the outcome
In the 2nd game you and with your mates in the E-50M was like a wolfpack. XD Just go and get rid of the opponents and claim the flank in just seconds. That was a brutal moment. xD

I used to roll with dual gas cans in my O-Ni pre-2.0 garage on console. ‘Twas a nightmare for my enemies when I’m at full speed in feet.
So in game you take for the same reason you would use one in Real Life, crew protection. (and a bit of cushining on impact, protection from HE and Artillery rounds)
For those that don't know, a spall liner is a lining inside the tank to catch Shrapnel. (like say thick rubber for example) HESH shells for example on impact with a Tank, it doesn't PEN the armor but blasts the armor with such force that the inside of the armor will Flake and Brake apart, thus creating what is known as "spawling". (which is in simple terms is, post penetration shrapnel)
Now I know what to mount on my M3 Lee to make it a beast.
I have my E50M built almost exactly the same way and I love it

How much % does controlled impact effect ramming?
You could even swap the vents for grousers if you really wanted to double (triple?) down on that speed QB :)
Use the same setup but on E50m. I do it all the time for close quarters maps. I average 500-800 ramming per game. Rammed an STB-1 once for 940.
May have to look into using it. On console there's a new tank that's a medium with a derp gun that seems to either one shot you or kill your whole crew and do 500-1400 damage. And I've been grinding the British heavy line. Needless to say arty still focuses you. So it may be beneficial for me 😂
With the Avre being absolutely crazy the spall liner is a must on console
@@navyseal250_8 I've watched a few clips of mine in my conquerer. And I've got shot on the mantle, and the spaced turret armor and still got hit for 500+ when it didn't even penetrate. Damage aside when they shoot the conquerers turret it breaks everything and kills crew every time. It's obnoxious
The only reason the AVRE exist is as a target for my T92 arty.

@Quickybaby this most be great when you are a player with enough gold stacked, high skilled crews and not to worry about credits and/or buying gold! That makes it a lot much easier to make it happen!

Spall liner can replace med kit ? You can heal a dead commander with spall liner ?
Spall liner increases crew survivability. The build shown relies on that in order to drop the medkit but it's hardly foolproof.
I run a spall liner on my Cromwell b. Wanted to get a ramming mission done quickly and ended up liking it because nobody expects to get get rammed by a Cromwell. I don’t play tier 6 a lot but whenever I just want some quick memes Crowell b is my go to.
I do this with my Pz V/IV. Ramming is fun.
QB this video is the reason why I follow your videos. Now I know I don't exactly cast a big shadow in the game as you but you answered an unknown for me on the E-50-M especially. I love that hound dog tank but the loses come sometimes in series that leave me scratching my head, This is something a lot better than nothing and appreciate your time in explaining what this sorry as* average player needs. Thanks! (Never thought of the spall liner/extra octane fuel as a combo but makes sense combined with Jack of all trades on the CO.)

how do you use free camera mode on replays?
The FCM 50t has to do this to be viable today.
In 2024 QB will come up with same build, but will replace repair kit with Removed Speed Governor for maximum impact in the match!
Every single tank I possess has a spall liner from Lights to Arty. Always have. :)
If you're slow and an Arty target it's a must.

It doesn't seem to help against gold HE rounds from a bz176 doing 865 damage on my kv5 which I switched to that build because I spotted the BZ176 on enemy team.

Driver skills should be mentioned as crucial element for these builds imho.
Ramming build requires Ramming crew skill as well. There are so many tanks that one should have secondary Ramming build. Though my favorite tanks I play have primary DPM and gun handling build and scouting secondary build.
What about KV-5? Is it good on this tank? It is much slower and has much worse P/W ratio. But you like to ram in KV-5 - is it worth it?
Ramming Build KV-5 is Hardening, Turbo, Grousers (plus crew skill controlled impact). but i guess you could swap hardening for spall liner
The new British medium with its 16mm armour is going to need the spall liner for sure. Everyone's going to be firing HE at it and it may be okay at ramming?

after a decade. finally someone said it. spall liners are the best in game if installed in the right tank.
Spall liner is not as great as it used to be, with 3 arty on a side dropping shells on your maus before it even got in range to shoot, but still a must for arty and rammers.
It's mostly 2 arty now though.

I tested spall liner out, over hundreds of test shots with HE you actually take more damage having spall liner than you do without it, it's bugged so the 50% less damage is actually more.

@jaywerner8415 yep, it's still the case, we tested it again about a week ago, over 100 HE shots on the same armour panel, at the same angle and distance, spall liner actually caused you to take more HE damage, makes no sence that this works this way.
I'm sorry, I had to pause the video to say that, the long run down the street with your turret up is the content that I subscribe for. Or the way you have casually fought 3 tanks at once using terrain to your advantage while using the body of your tank to disable one while tanking shots from a 2ndwhile you blast a third target is awesome to watch. More game play please.

Fast tanks means you are the first one in the front, means the first to take dmg and first one to die. In most games (becouse the Kranvagn reloads faster) pumps 3 more schells in to you and garage.
That is exactly what I thought, seeing QB runs happily in front without any cover whatsoever. Had this Kran be a better player, QB would be knocked out quickly.
My medium task right now is to kill another tank by ramming. I might add a spall liner to some of my mediums to help. Nic😂.

Does anyone know how QB views replays? I have a fun replay of my friend pushing a s. Conq off a cliff but I can’t see it well in the normal replay mode

It's fun how the AMX 50B weighs 62,210 tons and is a heavy, where as the E50M weighs 62,310 tons is a medium......
Maxing mobility is not just good for maximizing ramming damage for memes either, the 10% extra engine power makes you much more flexible to make flanking moves and rush positions that you might not be able to get into otherwise. I actually have a lot of maximum mobility/ramming builds with field mods allowing 2 setups. IS-7, E-50M(obvious), KV-4 Kres, KV-5(obvious) Löwe etc...
Even my 60TP has a "sonic build". Since it's a breakthrough heavy and gets +4kmh and a mobility slot I can run around at 44kmh with 15.7hp/ton, while still obviously having the good armor and turreted 750damage 152mm combo.

I definitely use it on some of my lighter vehicles, depending on the map…as it really does help against the better HE rounds that are left.
