I would much rather play a leo pta, standard b, wz120, obj 430, udes 16...pretty much any other tier 9 med except this.
You forgot to mention the disaster of the original announcement for this tank. In the original announcement they claimed it was a premium and a day before release they changed it to a reward vehicle. In my opinion WG could rectify this whole situation by making the 283 a premium tank

I got it on like my 10th spin on that machine permanently, went into a handful of battles, and then put it away in the garage to never use it again. As you said it isn't even a premium which would fine if it was something like the AE which is a pretty brilliant tank that feels like it is a premium without being a premium. I feel like with it coming up at the same time as the BZ-176 the 283 is just not as explosive as tanks in the same event. Its merely alright, and I don't think that is good enough for the amount of RNG you had to deal with to even have the chance to get it the first time around.
lets be honest, spending 4k on a game is more of a persons problem. it has nothing to do with WG, they will find a way to spend that money anyway somehow and blame others.

I am f2p and I have been using automatic fire extinguishers on all of my tanks for years without ever having to purchase them. In fact, I still get more than I use, so basically it's unlimited. Because consider how often do you actually get set on fire? It's quite rare if you think about it, and automatic fire extinguishers are only used up from your depot when there is actually a fire.

CVS really should be an exclusive equipment for light tanks, in order to make them more relevant again. Because currently as it is, light tanks are almost obsolete, when there are sneaky medium tanks like the Bourrasque who when they slap on an exhaust and CVS, can basically to 90% do the same stuff as a light tank but still keeping the much better combat capabilities medium tanks have over light tanks...
I second that idea. That would balance the game a little more and give light tanks a necessary role. I think they also need to buff radios they serve zero purpose in the game.
This tank was clearly advertised as a premium tank, I brought a load of boxes to get the extra rolls, I got it eventually, and wasn't getting premium tank credits, I thought it was a glitch, sent a ticket in, they just responded that it was a mistake on the website, and it was only a reward tank, not good enough really, I wanted to grind credits and bonds, that was the main selling point for me.
nah, the gun handling is so bad on this tank, you really need the full vert stabs, it could even be worth considering putting bond vert stabs on this tank
The process to get it was ridiculous HOWEVER, i was lucky enough to get it without too much effort. I love the tank. It certainly holds its own and im glad i didnt sell it.
I wanted it so bad. 80 rental battles. But i have not played it a single time out of principle. It is strange they put a pity mechanic into box rolls but not in coin rolls. Would have even been fine if it gave some kind of discount to buy it for gold.

it's funny (in a kind of sad way) hearing some players spent so much trying to get this tank, when I got the permanent version on like my 3rd free token and have never played it because it just looks so bad.
Ironically, I played the event only for few days.. got few boxes. Forgot them. Came back after long time, found out I have this tank permamently.... I have played it once, and probably won't play again. Value right there.
i like the 283 its a cool looking tank. but the one criminal thing about it is that its counted as a premium but you dont get reduced repair costs, its shells are expensive and it doesnt make extra credits. its a normal tank given premium status with none of the perks......

what i really think was the bad idea on putting this thing into the slot machine is the fact you didn't even get it when you accumulated say 50 rentals with it. This maybe would have been the fitting "bad luck prevention". I got it on slot machine for 50 battles and played about 5 battles... as one of "the noobs testing a tier 9" i didn't feel to bad in it. As you stated, a tank in wot with no outstanding feature is hardly op, but also a tank with no mayor failure also is not the worst tank - look at T-34-85 and its premium variants. no where the best, but over all the best Tier 6 Medium suited for most players.
i'd never push that hill without a fire extinguisher but other than that the tank looks fine, not great not a premium vehicle, not sure why many people spent that much money but i guess if the spirit of "gotta catch them all" i guess... ty for the video keep up the good work

I got this tank around 5 days before the end of the event. Cashed in all the extra materials for tokens and wound up with 50 or so, tank dropped 12 rolls in and was the permanent version. Gotta say excited as I was that soon faded. Many people cried over this tank and it just proves how bad people just want stuff just to have it, it's not worth crap. I wish I could sell it to those who would pay 4k for a tank they never played, I would sell it in a heart beat. This tank was just a little bonus extra and people lost their pathetic lil minds over it, unseen, unplayed. I was lucky for sure, but crap on a plate still stinks whether it's free or not.

Was it only me or the in game sound for the reload of this tank sounds like the last shell of an autoreloader? Ladt time i played it was as a rental in Christmas. I may have some more rentals, but i don't really enjoy the tank.
What annoyed me most of all about this turd of a vehicle, is that we can't get rid of rental vehicles unless we play through the entire amount of rental rounds. I just wanted it out of my garage so I essentially suicide charged through the 25, or so, rental battles. I don't understand why anybody would pay money for this ... thing.
I 3 marked the tank beyond easily. It is actually my favorite tier 9, with upwards of 6k blocked in good matches and 3k dmg normally. Amazing tank because nobody knows where to hit it.

Nope, i got into grinding this puppy for a couple weeks and stopped playing it with 243 rentals left on the counter. Time thoroughly WASTED!
Would love if devs would give a cheap cost to gamble or a higher price to pay. Meaning you have a 1:15 chance to gamble but you are getting other goodies that you can spend 5 to 20usd and not feel bad about it. But players who want to spend 50usd for ONE digital asset, they should be able to spend that directly. This should be the norm, not the exception xD

theres honestly not a single tank except the tvp100 worth it in this boxes event. Although if you don't have the tvp100, it is 100% worth it, that thing is a menace. I'm a 56% winrate player, and i've got a 67% winrate in that thing, over 200 games, it's absolutely brutal

I have a secondary account. I made it for my kid to play together. Last Christmas I went there and collected dust every day. Got the 283 for my kid's account. Didn't get it in mine for a lot more rolls. It hasn't been played at all. Neither my kid, neither me with the rentals.

Casuals got the tank 10 months ago for like a week, how on Earth does that effect the last 60 day stats?
Eventually I could get it to work, but since I have it on rental I simply stopped playing soon enough. Still have rentals on it.

theres honestly not a single tank except the tvp100 worth it in this boxes event. Although if you don't have the tvp100, it is 100% worth it, that thing is a menace. I'm a 56% winrate player, and i've got a 67% winrate in that thing, over 200 games, it's absolutely brutal

Hard to get this vehicle? Months later I suddenly saw this tank had appeared in my garage. Still don't know how I got it because I havn't played a lot around last years holidays.
I was pissed I didn't get it. 50 rentals and a bunch of loot crates along with maxing everything possible during the holidays. Total BS. I never even played the rentals because I didn't "own" it.
i still have 15 rental battles in 283, havent played it yet because i dont have a russian mediums crew
It sits in my garage as rental with something like 36 battles available. Haven't played it once lol, pfft
I got this tank permanently f2p and i felt guilty when it dropped out of the vending machine event. i never played it because of this.

Honestly I don't believe that we had 50% to get it permanently because way more people seem to have optained it as a rental and a small minority got it for good

I have a secondary account. I made it for my kid to play together. Last Christmas I went there and collected dust every day. Got the 283 for my kid's account. Didn't get it in mine for a lot more rolls. It hasn't been played at all. Neither my kid, neither me with the rentals.
I lost my strength after 42 battles with this thing. I'd rather have 2 marks on a tank I enjoy.
The bans only work for randoms and not encounter
And I feel like no one puts equipment on rentals
Of course I won this tank immediately as a player who only really likes to play LTs, I would have love to have sold it somehow back when it had hype
I came back to wot this year third September after 2 years brake. I have this vehicule as a rental for 10 battles(idk how) and I have the option to buy it for 13 150 gold. People say its a very rare tank? Im confused
