I usually go for 2000’s children’s j-fashion brands but I know how you feel. They are very expensive if you want anything good and it’s very hard to find things in sizes that will actually fit.
Even in harajuku we’re I work it’s very expensive to buy as some second hand stores realise the value which is a shame.
