Graphics, gameplay, lifespan, pick 2. Like Rare, the masters of technology made some incredible looking stuff but I don't think their games play as good as they look.
Croc looked spectacular at the time, a real 3D platformer on PC. But gameplay is severely lacking :( Bad camera, wooden awkward control scheme, tiny levels divided by long loading doors. And thats without even comparing it to something as polished as Mario 64. Interesting info about PDS. I read on wiki about Andrew Glaister association with San over online MUD games, but didnt know San was involved in PDS development.
Thank you Argonaut for King Arthurs World. One of the greatest SNES games. Got it from Boots for my 11th birthday and always loved it.
Early sampler was probably an Ensoniq Mirage, was one of the cheapest samplers around and it has a floppy drive. Junos were all analogue synthesizers.

Even at the time Croc looked like a lesser version of its contemporaries (mainly Crash and Spyro).
