A kid in my school in West London had one BITD, a beautiful Changa Long in white, had all the trick parts, I loved that bike, I wonder what happened to it?
An absolutely beautiful BMX bike.VDC,sadly wasn’t as popular as say SE or MONGOOSE or GT or REDLINE or DIAMOND BACK or HUTCH.When I was riding BMX bikes in the 1980s,they were the big names.The most popular BMX bike,was the SE PK RIPPER.So many people had them,either street riders,freestylers or racers.And it was either in Black or White, with Skyway mag wheels.I never got one though.My last BMX bike was a Chrome GHP(Greg Hill Products), with Skyway graphite mag wheels,Comp lll tires,Redline flight crank,Shimano DX pedals,GT handlebars,Oakley F1 grips, Suntour stem,Suntour head set lock up,Elina ‘Lightning’ seat,a laid back seat post,GHP pads and a Haro number plate.I wish I’d hung onto that bike as it was a beauty.It’d probably be worth a grand or two on eBay today! But in 1985,who was to know 37 years later what these bikes would be selling for as vintage today.Some of the stuff I see on TH-cam that collectors have, like this VDC is amazing.Companies like Redline,Mongoose,Raleigh,SE,Hutch,Skyway have rereleased old classics, but you really can’t beat the original stuff.Love this VDC bike.👍😉
I know they're not original but you might wanna checkout those metallic blue MCS lightning brake cables i think they would look perfect on that bike!! I use to love those grips as a kid now they're worth big money!! Beautiful bike dude well done!!
