Is your brain causing your fatigue?

  • In order to defeat cognitive fatigue we have to expose all of the inefficiencies of how the brain is working.
    Each year 20 percent of individuals from the ages of 25-75 will experience some form of cognitive fatigue multiple times a month. This number is even higher for individuals suffering from chronic health conditions. Fatigue can be extremely debilitating and can be secondary to a variety of different health issues. The list below are common causes of mental fatigue but is not fully inclusive:
    Concussions
    Headaches
    Visual problems
    Inner ear issues
    Depression
    Chronic infections
    Blood sugar dysregulation
    Hormonal imbalances
    Cognitive decline
    Anemia’s
    In this video we will be discussing the concept of neuro fatigue or fatigue coming from your brain. There is no doubt that things like hormones and blood sugar are important for energy but far too often people overlook the actual function of the brain when treating mental fatigue. It is like taking your car to the mechanic and they just keep changing the fluids or telling you to try different types of gas and never actually assess the machinery of the car.
