Join us as we pop in to the park on a windy day for an exciting update, with lots of awesome developments for Rivertown and Jungle Rush!
It's a windy and semi quiet off peak day today! We have a look around, checking out some exciting updates for Jungle Rush and Murrissippi Motors in Rivertown, Dreamworld's upcoming brand new land. We also look at the closed rides in the park, as well as some of the open ones, and check out some cute Australian Animals!

Rivertown is Dreamworlds upcoming 2024 land which is replacing the old Wiggles World / ABC Kids World area. This new themed land will open late 2024 with a large new AU $35 million dollar Vekoma family thrill Roller Coaster called Jungle Rush, and an updated version of the Vintage Cars called Murrissippi Motors!
Dreamworld is a Theme Park / Amusement Park located on the Gold Coast in QLD Australia!

I'm definitely gonna have to get another annual pass for Dreamworld once they open up Jungle Rush. It's always super exciting seeing track pieces and supports showing up on the carpark!! And yes, that bug is definitely a big coaster enthusiast 😜
A Dreamworld pass is worth it for sure, especially with Rivertown! That Bug was loving it 😋

It’s great that the parks are starting to care about the theming of their rides again. From what we’ve heard of jungle rush and wizard of oz it’s gonna be very well themed!

I’m so excited to see the coaster come together! Like you mentioned, the park really needs to retheme or replace Motocoaster so the area can be fully cohesive.
For sure! Going to look weird having this large temple so close to a MotoGp ride haha
@@ThemeParkOgre It could be rethemed pretty easily and cheaply. New entrance arch, repaint the station supports brown, and change the canopies to tan, and boom you got a jungle base camp! A new coaster would be ideal but I think that’s a ways off.
@@MatecaCorp For sure, it's an easy fix! With all the retheming the park has done lately I think it has a decent chance of happening eventually

I'm still waiting for a full pov of the coaster and I hope they release something soon! Its not like a major coaster not having a rendered pov but we shall see!
Agreed! With it being a totally new type of coaster they probably want it to be a surprise
I’m confused on what they mean by a forward facing train and a back facing train. Does that mean there’s always gonna be 2 trains on the layout?
I'm not totally sure. It may have something to do with the unique inverted turntable with it being able to spin the trains
It be great if they could upgrade the claw to make it a 360 degree ride

Families and Kids will only get them so far - thrill rides will always bring the $$ in. If you look at every successful theme park overseas they are top heavy with Thrill rides
Does Jungle Rush go upside down like the Steel Taipan. I don't think I have ever seen the Steel Taipan closed for maintenance since it opened its good to see one ride working all the time.
Jungle Rush doesn't go upside down; it's a family coaster, like Motocoaster (but should be much better haha). You're correct, Steel Taipan hasn't properly had annual maintenance since it opened!

They really need to do something with it. Maybe new trains?
They really need more thrill rides. Without the likes of Tower of Terror and that Surf ride it feels empty overall. need more coasters or extreme flatrides. Movie world better value overall as of now.
It seems the park is targeting the family market (like Disney). I don't think we'll see another huge thrill ride for awhile now.
