Why is it so hidden, why do i have to dive so deep into search for this, youtube, this is everything i ever wanted and then some. Bump it higher damn it, here's a comment to boost it up. Awesome vid btw, i needed that, thanks a lot!
Nice video, but would've been nice if you continued to put notations for combos in the second half of the video. It helps a lot for a new Nina player like me.
I've been playing Tekken since the very first one. I have no idea how I've never even looked at Nina, all of a sudden, I just want to learn and play her. She's so much more technical than I thought, and this video is helping a lot.
I was so happy to see Arslan winning Evo without needing to use ws1 loops (that I saw) lmfao that was the one Nina thing I’ve always been like “nah, I’m not bothering with that”
Ur a life saver. Not everyone is interested in the cheesy 56 hit combos. I wanna learn the basics punishes for mashers and best neutral moves first. Great vid
v nice video! ive had trouble learning/remembering the weaker strings that link stuff together (ex. df3,2) and this rlly helped me be more aware of them!
Bro i am struggling with the cancels. Perhaps you can share a vid for it? Your video helps a lot for sure. Finally I can begin learning Nina cuz of this
As a first time Tekken player and aspiring Nina main, this is a great vid, dude! What gives me most trouble with Nina (and with Tekken in general) is movement and doing my inputs cleanly. Any tips for improving movement with Nina?
Damn bro didn’t put the inputs after the punish section 😮 my only problem with this other wise it’s awesome Ik ik how ungrateful I am, “what I have to go find these in the movelist?!”😂 something that id be doing anyway lmao
Dude, I'll just come out and say it. I love you, bro. Thanks for sharing these cool tips. I'm a mediocre Nina main and I refuse to part ways with her cuz she's so fun. Even though most spammy Kings and Leo kick my ass 😢
this is very intimidating for a new Nina (havent played since tekken 3). any tips for learning these combos? should i just learn the shorter versions and slowly add more? its abit overwhelming
Nice video what input do u play on pad? I just switched characters wanted to try Nina out & found out her optimals are some of the strictest forsure I been labbing for hours and her kit is so deep & complex would you consider sticking with her she looks top tier in t8 but it’s still early but I’m just curious on your answer because the “nerd” combo I can do a butterfly easy but not continuously & I’m on pad & everyone who i see do it is on stick hit box etc so I’m debating before I delve too deep & waste way more hours lol but thanks for the vid
lol im on xbox pad and yes she's def worth trying your skill with she's always strong however forever tricy to play consistent and use her timing consistently. Thanks for the comment i appreaciate it and hope to see your nina in action
@@SenpaiRelax ok so I’m glad to know another pad player is able to pull it off thanks for reply I’ll def subscribe last question lol is there one tip you would give for butterfly like a certain trick or thumb placement you use or did you just lab hours & found your rhythm? Because sometimes I find finger placement tricks for d pad & sometimes it’s just raw hours in practice
@@owlbundy for me it was getting comfortable in hitting uf after qcf but not allowing my thumb to tap up. I don't play claw I just hold the controller like im playing a shooter. All together it's kinda a mix of both cause it took many combos drops for me to get comfortable
Really appreciate your tips, this video is short and crisp and has lot of useful content in it. I am at Garyu now, and trying to learn that butterfly loop on PC, using the keyboard. Tell me how to do it pls TT
I personally do butterfly loop the qcfuf method but you can also do qcf n or half circle motion there's some tutorials that go more in depth they may be on T7 demonstrating but it's the same as in 8. Congrats fam! You'll only continue to grow in skill and don't be discouraged when you drop the loops I used to do it all the time till I got it right lol
3:50 I can't make the qcf2 hit guaranteed. I'm getting it either to late, or won't register properly if done too quick. Feels like there is delay before I can input qcf input. I saw some known players input command, they add a quick "u" input then qcf2, but even that doesn't work for me. My input commands are correct as checked in practice mode. any advice?
At 4:51 the qcf3, d2,2 I seem to miss something here When i try it i dont knock the enemy over in the slide But you clearly do here What do i need to do here?
I am having a lot of trouble with QCF2 after Wipe the Floor. Do you have to crouch cancel it, or do you wait until Nina's standing and then do it fast?
@@SenpaiRelax thanks for the tip. Seems better to stick to safer ff3 since both knock the opponent away, although maybe qcf2 gives a little more time to run up to them.
It depends on distance for last hit of 4 string sometimes it will miss. f2,1,4 you have to micro dash extremely quick I don't usually hit it often at all but the nerd Nina's seem to get it.
Why is it impossible to connect ss1+2 run d2,2??? I tried 57 times and only worked once, is the timing insanely strict or something? Nina is frustrating sometimes
Its actually easier in this game but you do still have to wait for her to recover and then dash up combo otherwise you'll miss it ( yes i still miss it too). Here's a video with further instructions if neeeded: th-cam.com/video/GFa9knDpGHk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h6KDUEknsNTcfDqG
Awesome video, but if you want to edit even less you can put on command history and you don't have to type out button presses(which you also just stopped doing anyway you bastard xD)
Not particularly helpful for players new to Nina as there’s no notations after the punishment section. When I learn a new character I make lots of notes to help learn and remember everything.
Video started off great and then it seems you decided you didn't feel like adding notation anymore. That's when I stopped watching. At least I learned some punishes tho
"Lazy editor" memo didn't you get, I don't need to spoon feed you inputs on whiff punishers, guaranteed strings, and etc. you should be able to distinguish them from actually looking at the movelist but clearly you were too lazy to do that. So I'm glad you stopped watching go learn that movelist babes then comeback 😊
@SenpaiRelax Actually did look at the entire movelist smart ass. Went through every move 1 by one, twice. But memorizing 100 moves is no easy task. Your content is mediocre. Found better Nina guides. Might make a better version of this myself once I learn the character. This video will become irrelevant and lost in a sea of better guides in the future. Unfortunately, Nina isn't popular like Devil Jin so the quality of guides is much much lower. Expect more from yourself. Don't get upset cuz I'm calling you out for not putting effort into your content. If you don't wanna put in effort, don't make content at all 😂👎🏾 And yes. I have been putting in effort to learn Nina. If I rewatched this video now just 1 day later, I'd probably understand a lot more. Of course, I'm never going to rewatch this video now since you wanted to be annoying.
@@SenpaiRelaxthe whole point of this video is so we don’t have to run through the whole move list and check every move. So annotations throughout the video would have been more helpful. Still this video is better than most tutorial videos
@@magicargo1232 I will have to agree to disagree on that one. Practice mode is accessible while queuing and you can scroll through moves while waiting. Start by learning weaker more consistent combos, and focus on whiff punishing. Then as you get better you can try for longer combos.
Good stuff, earned a sub 🎉👍

Ss1 ub f fast input, but here's a video going deeper into it th-cam.com/video/e8gQlaPDnhQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZrsZSObpuHLOC9-q

WS is “while standing”. The game calls it “while rising”. It’s when you transition from crouching to standing.
