Im looking for a secondary character for a long time, im thinking of Nina cause imma be honest with you, Nina players are giving me the worst time in this game🤣 but i respect these players. On a weekend ill dedicate a whole day to this video, thanks!
If you can beat 'em, join 'em! 🤣 Haha but seriously, I hope you're enjoying the game and whether you do choose Nina as a secondary or not, I hope this guide can better help you understand the character and what your opponents are doing 😀
I didn't know she was the only female character in every game, but it does make sense. I didn't really start exclusively playing her until the end of Tekken 6. I wish it was sooner but better late than never. I don't understand the hate that she gets especially because of the weaknesses you pointed out. I think the majority of Tekken fans lowkey hate the game tbh lol. Been slacking on playing the last month or so, but I'm going to get back into it this weekend. We'll be re-watching this guide until I have everything down.
It's never too late, and Tekken 6 is much earlier than most active players! There's definitely a lot of negativity within the community and around the game right now. Hopefully this will all settle soon, and hopefully it will be settled with some quality of life changes :)
The tekken 7 guide was huge for helping me learn nina early on for my first tekken experience. Glad you were able to release a more updated version for tekken 8.
I appreciate how thorough this guide is to even between a comprehensive guide on all combo routes, coverage of how to play the actual game in the strategy section, and showcasing every possible option with okizeme. You are a gift to the Tekken community.
Thanks for the kind words. I put a lot of work into this guide and tried to include as much as I'm could. Like I mentioned at the end of the okizeme section, there's always more. I'm keen to see what else gets discovered over the coming months and if it'll change much for the game and Nina 😛
Thanks mate, I'm glad that you like it. I've gotten a lot better at editing in the last year, but this still took me a very long time and many revisions before I was happy
I swore id take this Tekken to learn characters I dont normally play. Learned and having fun with Paul and I like Ninas style, so I tried her out last week. I'm enjoying the journey.
That's awesome to hear! Have you stuck with Nina at all, or continued looking through more characters? While I'm pretty locked-in as a Nina main, I always aim to learn every character in the game to a decent level so have been using a bunch of characters in the last few weeks
As im watching this guide, i wanna say that i find b1+4 to be an excellent fast whiff punisher, and the one i use most often personally. Even though it has short range on the arm, tons of moves have limbs that are extended, and the leg of the move reaches to pick up the launch
Hey, thanks for you input. Yes I agree that b+1+4 is a great whiff punisher as well :). Its range is a little short and it can't be performed from a backsway, but the speed is great and the reward is massive.
Masterpiece of a guide. Unreal amount of effort put into this. Wanted to let you know it's recognized! Thank you for the upload, I've liked and subscribed.
Hey, thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 💗 You're not wrong, I put insane amounts of effort into this guide, and gave up a lot of sleep to find the time to release it in just over 2 months. Though I had scripts and drafting I'd completed last year and have tech in here that was intially tested through Tekken 7 and just confirmed to still be valid once I had the full release of the game :)
Picked up Nina and managed to get her to Bushin and man finding this is a hidden gem! Appreciate this bro! Needed these extra touches to my game that I’m missing
Whoa, I have mained Nina for just shy of 30 years and didnt know you could cancel with up back for ss1. I thought you had to do either cancel the side step fast before she goes into her side specific moves or do ss1> back > up > back very fast
There is still a lot of confusion and misinformation going around about the SS+1 cancels. I've come across many people that don't factor in the inputs correctly to see how much advantage you can get, then also people that believe the u and ub methods give you different amounts of frame advantage. Most of the time SS+1~b~u is easier and also more practical. You need to ub method to avoid a sidestep of course, but also if.you want to use a neutral 2,4 or 1+2, now that ray hands is a 1+2 input. None of those moves are overly useful in that situation though
Thank you. I'll try to release supplemental videos with major updates or if there are some major discoveries for Nina down the line to keep things relevant too
Bruh, I was so waiting on you to release a guide for T8 Nina. Your T7 vids were amazing. From the Nina Tekken community, THANK YOU! From aka FEARLESSFLAMINGO (Nina main) THANK YOU!!!
I am enjoying the guide. There's so much you've covered to keep me learning for a while. If there are any new frame traps or tech you've learned since releasing the guide would be great additions. Any particular knowledge you can share about troublesome character match ups for nina would helpful also.
You're welcome! Please check out the rest of my content as I have tonne of stuff about Nina on this channel. Most of it's from Tekken 7, but is still kinda relevant for Tekken 8
Thank you heaps. I take that as huge praise as ThatBlastedSalami makes amazing content, and it's always to an exceptional standard. I especially like that episode of the Wavedash podcast about Nina Williams that had a few guests 😉
Great job as usual, AFT! I'm glad there's a comprehensive guide from a seasoned Nina player for T8. I noticed in the T7 days, a lot of bigger channels never took the time to make a proper Nina guide due to time or claiming they didn't fully understand the character. Thanks for your time and dedication to helping the community! ❤🎉
Hey mate! Thank you as always 😀 There were a couple of guides from bigger channels in Tekken 7, but you're right that a lot of people just consider her too niche, or just put it in the "too hard" basket 😔 There are a few guides for Tekken 8 floating around though, so hopefully that's changed! I of course want people watching my videos, but I encourage everyone to use whatever resources they can. As I said in my training section of this guide, just make sure you test whatever you're seeing. This includes my stuff of course! 😅
Absolutely amazing guide. I'm looking for a long term character for Tekken 8 once I've taken my carried main to Fujin (Dragunov...), and Nina looks both incredibly powerful and diverse enough to keep me entertained for the next few years (but not without the execution barrier). This has just become my bible. Amazing work.
@@AFriendlyTreeI've just started her full on this week. I took a detour with Shaheen up to Raijin (he's pretty sick too actually). I got a feeling Nina will have hidden tech to keep me busy for months.
Thank you, I hope it does help! :) They have made evil mist easier but unfortunately the advantage on hit no longer gives anything guaranteed. They are forced to block or guess a 50/50 so a wr+1+2 or f,f+1+2 held can be the best option to deal recoverable damage and keep frame advantage
Thank you. I'm glad you find it not only helpful, but enjoyable. I tried my best to make this not just a typical character guide and something a little different. I kinda regret reusing the burger analogy for the combos, as my other idea was a witche's cauldron and dropping ingredients into it. I could have used some opaque mist effects instead of just colours and it would make things a little more unique.
Hey bro just want to extend my thanks to you for the videos and guides you are making. I’ve managed to climb up to Fujin as a beginner. Keep up the good work and stay blessed as always.
Hey, that's absolutely incredible! Keep it up, but more importantly, make sure that you're having fun at the same time 😁 Out of curiosity, are there particular things in my content that you felt were helpful in your journey?
@@AFriendlyTree well, to start up I literally don’t know frames much until now, and you elaborated each usable ones. Tried to lab about which moves to punish with that moves and it works. Still studying though. I am trying to get used in a leverless controller so I may not be able to go past Fujin for now.
@@AFriendlyTree Also, the combos, when to use it, etc. Well there’s a lot bro because I am a beginner. All your videos were a lot helpful especially this one.
been struggling with nina in red ranks getting up to tenryu and knocked back down to garyu back and forth. was thinking maybe nina wasn't for me till i stumbled upon this guide and made it to purple ranks easy after watching and studying. thank you kind tree
so structured and organized. Not like many other videos where they wing it and waste time rambling. great work! (liked, subbed, and commented for engagement. Wish you all the best for your channel growth)
Thank you so much! :) This video is truly my passion project, and I put everything I could into it. You may have seen my guide from Tekken 7 as well. While drastically different, it was released around 4 years ago and was invaluable in helping me plan and shape this guide into the final product. :)
Oh man, I haven't gone through it all but you're making want to play Nina for real. The video looks well done, well done on all the effort! The weaknesses about execution, etc are a little intimidating so far. I main Law and I feel I haven't gone to a high enough level with him yet. But it might be cool to have Nina as a secondary. I'll come back to this for sure.
Thanks heaps! Make sure you play who you want to. If you like the look of Nina (and this guide 😁) why not give her a try? Execution is a factor, but its importance increases as you progress to higher levels of play. If you're relatively new, you can't be expected to perform the high-execution tasks right away, and you'll do fine without them. As you practice, play, and improve with any character, the execution will becone easier. The biggest factor is enjoying what you're doing as you do little bits of practice here and there
Honestly I was expecting an Irish guy to prepare this comprehensive guide, not a Scottish one😅. But thank for all your effort. This is an amazing resource ❤❤
Haha thank you very much! To make things even more confusing, I'm actually a New Zealander. Though if you go back a few generations I am indeed part Scottish and part Irish :)
As a "power" mid i would also add b1+2, since it gives guaranteed ff3 if its done fast enough. Its 1 fr slower than 1+4 and has poor tracking and range, but if you need safe on block fast mid with enormous reward (44 dmg with knd and deleting health gauge) this mid is what you need. So 1+4 for faster start up, better tracking and range, b1+2 for more reward with still safety on block. Also as a ch tool i would add f2(1 3/4), it can be twitch confirmable from the 1st hit (like kings df2), so its kinda safe long reach i13 high ch launcher Besides that great video!
Yes, good call on both of these moves. I made the decision to limit the move selection portion to only 2 options for each, but there are many other valid and viable tools that could match the categories :)
Thank you so much for this incredible, thorough, and organized Nina guide. I really appreciate the drills in the execution section. Your work is very appreciated.
You're most welcome! I'm so glad that you and many others are liking my character guide. It definitely took a long time to make, but it's definitely proven to be worth the effort!
Thank you very much! I hope you enjoyed school and watch this was a good experience 😛 It is fun learning new things and I love the excitement of discovering new strategies and working on implementing them into your own gameplay. Have fun! 😁
Update : My Nina has finally gotten to Fujin and ive applied a bunch of these punishment tools into my game play and if i gotta tell ya thanks again! I come back to this video to refresh usually before play and it’s been a big help thanks so much!
You're most welcome! Also, I'm glad you figured out the situation with butterflies :) I hope that you're having fun learning Nina and playing Tekken 8 :D
Hey That's awesome feedback, thank you so much! Things do get a little complicated as the video goes on. Have you found the rest of it alright to follow?
You're very welcome! It's a daunting game with a lot of terminology and situations poorly explaining...or just not explained at all 😅 If you come across anything you're unsure of, feel free to send me a message and I'll try to help.
@@AFriendlyTree when i played Nina in T4-5, it was mainly using her keymoves / trademark moves. I was a bit young back then. It is until T6 where i started to learn to do combos with the “bound system”, then in Tag2 learning to use “tornado”. They kept adding things for Nina but it was never overwhelming, it helps if you remain character loyal. Have to admit that I play Anna as much as Nina. Tag2 was most fun for me, i could have them both.
It sounds like we've had a pretty similar path. I didn't really use Nina until Tekken 5, and that's when I started getting an understanding of how the game actually works and entering tournaments. I used Nina/Anna a lot in Tag 2 as well and did use Anna a fair bit in T7 too
Bro i struggle big time in executing back dash db 2 after df 3 2 during combos. I do back dash but sometimes i miss db 2 hit. This is very frequent in online matches however it's very rare in offline matches
That's interesting that you find this to only be in online matches. Do you mean offline matches, or practicing offline? If the former, then it could be because you're visually confirming the situation and there's more input delay. If it's the latter, it could be that you're hesitating or rushing the action while in the heat of a match. I'm guessing you mean the former. So perhaps you could try using the input delay feature in practice mode and see if you can get used to performing it with some added delay.
the myth, the legend, himself AFriendlyTree. thanks for the guide, saw your old stuff in tekken 7 so i was excited to see what you would bring for tekken 8. But like always you never fail to surprise me with the amazing tutorial.

Hey Mickey, thank you for the kind words, I really do appreciate it 😊 Have you had a chance to watch through the guide? If you like, I can have TH-cam auto-generate subtitles in Polish for it. Would that be helpful?
I would have liked to release this sooner, as I know the initial release is when everyone is most excited and wanting a guide to follow. I didn't want to rush things and release a guide that wasn't studied and created to a high standard, and over the years my personal circumstances have changed a lot. When I started this channel I worked 4 days a week and had few other responsibilities. Now I'm working working 5 days a week and often still working out of my contracted hours, but more importantly, I have a young daughter who demands my attention. This means that I often can't get to my computer until around 9-10pm to do anything with Tekken. So this guide was made at the cost of many hours of sleep 😴
For anyone new to nina, i found doing her f4,4 twice in a row baits a lot of counter hits, perfect to throw out at the very end of the match if you havent got them ducking heaps
Good tip! Do you mean her f+3? Prior to Tekken 8, f+3 was +6 and so doing f+3 into f+3 was a frame trap. Now it's only +3 and so a jab can interrupt it. These is also the risk of the opponent ducking the second hit of f+3 and punishing you. Though that's much easier to comment on than it is to actually do :P
@@AFriendlyTree bruh you know im not actually sure now lol i think its f,3,3. X on ps. She should do 2 kicks that look exactly the same, whenever i’ve done it in matched it always counterhits unless they duck because of the frames.
Thank you. I'm glad you have loved this video too 🙂 I mention Nina's punishment options of course, and a few frame traps during the strategy section, but I imagine you're watching some more character-specific options, yes? I'm not sure how efficiently I could do a series like that again, but I'll see what happens over the next while
You're telling me! I essentially gave up sleeping since Tekken 8 released to make this...and it took just over 2 months! Some days I was too busy to work on it at all due to work and the family. Other days I'd stay up until 3-4am working on it with my daughter waking me up at 6:30am 😪
Can i ask u question? Is the evil mist is still guarante launch like tekken 7? Because i did on player sometimes its work get launc and sometimes it’s get blocked can u expl?
Hey, I'm glad you find the video helpful 😀 I'm sorry to say that evil mist no longer gives anything if it hits except dealing 10 recoverable damage, and giving you high frame advantage to continue your pressure. In other words, no launcher is guaranteed after anymore 😞
Liked and subscribed my guy, I don't even play nina, but just curious to wtf is causing her to spasm in match (the ss1 thing) Most guide I watch is just "wing it" type of guide, so this is golden✨
Thank you heaps! I hope that players can find value from this guide, even if they're not intending to play Nina. I've tried to give structure, but still encoursge creativity and freedom, as that is still such an important part of the game.
I was an Azucena main for a while Until I got surgically deconstructed by a Nina player. That ass whooping was so bad, it makes me wanna main Nina now.
@@AFriendlyTree thanks in part to your video, I finally made it to purple ranks for the first time. The journey continues! Thanks a lot for the excellent resource!
You have to crouch cancel first: df3+4 leaves you crouching, from crouch you can tap up to sidestep into the background which counts as a standing state again and allows you to input a qcf2; you have to input it immediately after the cancel and the timing can be a little tricky at first (though if you look closely during the example you can still see it).
Autsj has answered this already. A crouch cancel is the answer :) I just want to mention as well that df+3+4 is an easier input for "wipe the floor" however it makes the move much slower. Using d,df+4 or FC df+4 is much more practical with FC df+4 being 11f faster than df+3+4!
great video, I learnt many new things here, but I have question, what does ~db2 mean, after df3,2 I can land the db2 very rarely and I can't properly understand how that part works, it often gives me the hayashida step, I am dpad player, any speculations what am I doing wrong?
I would like to thank you for this thorough guide. Any methods to master SS1 cancel and Hayashida step on a PS5 controller? I am slow at doing sway and I can barely Hayashida step, but I can’t SS1 at all.
Hey there! I know you've already seen my video about performing Nina's techniques using a pad. Unfortunately I've never owned or even used a PS5 controller, so I can't comment on how it differs from the DualShock 4. Any tips that I have are in that video already. I'd suggest using things like input display, and slowing down your actions then gradually speeding them up over time. If you're really having trouble, you can send me some footage of you attempting it, with your input displays on, then I can help you identify where you're having trouble.
@@DallasUzumaki There are a few ways that you can send it to me but you'll need to either upload it somewhere like TH-cam and let me know, or send it to me in a private message somewhere. It would be best to send me the video/link privately through either Discord or Twitter, or just give me the link through TH-cam if you prefer.
Question, when i try to do the combo at 25:40 specifically at the db2 part, i get a backsway before the db2 and i cant land the db2 in time as a result. Any tips?
Hey there, the backsway is a crucial part in being able to perform the df+3,2 into a db+2 in time. You use the df+3,2~backsway to cancel its recovery, then cancel the backsway into db+2 as quickly as possible. It comes down to timing and you may be trying to press the db+2 faster than you should and it not registering, then also pressing it later than you should for it not connecting. Check out the execution section on it @48:03 and see if that helps :)
@@AFriendlyTree Ahh okay im still struggling a bit but i can kinda do the first db2, having trouble with the second one where i need to dash in but will keep cooking with it
Thanks. Yeah, I think that is a huge part of her gameplay too. I need to get used to punishing with WS+3 more when I'm not in heat. Ok... I really need to shake a lot of other bad habits first! 😂
They are tricky, but there are definitely easier situations you can use to help practice them. Check out the execution section on butterfly loops @45:36 for a few tips on performing them. While I generally suggest practicing them in the combos you want to use, you could start by trying to perform them off a CH f+3. This will position you correctly so there's no need to sidestep, or perform anything beforehand to do the butterfly loops.

That's awesome to hear. I'm sure you've learned a lot since then but I hope that this new guide can be helpful to younas well 🙂
@@AFriendlyTree yessir we appreciate your in-depth guides im currently tenryu looking to hit might ruler after some practice with the tips 🙌
Got up to red ranks with Nina after trying her out for a bit, turns out there's so much I don't know about her yet. Awesome work!
The editing is also very good, your hard work is appreciated bro, I really enjoyed watching this video, I got everything that I wanted.
Thanks mate, I'm glad that you like it. I've gotten a lot better at editing in the last year, but this still took me a very long time and many revisions before I was happy
Yeah bro but believe me This Is very Sick ❤️ amazing ❤️
I swore id take this Tekken to learn characters I dont normally play. Learned and having fun with Paul and I like Ninas style, so I tried her out last week. I'm enjoying the journey.
That's awesome to hear! Have you stuck with Nina at all, or continued looking through more characters?
While I'm pretty locked-in as a Nina main, I always aim to learn every character in the game to a decent level so have been using a bunch of characters in the last few weeks
I'm currently going back and forth between her and Kazuya. Going to pick up Feng as well.
That's awesome. They're all pretty unique and fun 😁
You're not wrong, I put insane amounts of effort into this guide, and gave up a lot of sleep to find the time to release it in just over 2 months.
That's awesome to hear! Good luck in the final stretch of your ranked journey :)
This is the most indepth guide i think i've ever seen when trying to pick up a new character. Thanks a lot!
Thank you :)
I'm glad you like it. I worked very hard to provide the detail, but try to also make it enjoyable to watch :)
@@AFriendlyTree sadly bruh I get back flip sooooo much trying to cancel with upback, I am going to work on the timing
the best T8nina guide right now. thx.
Thank you. I'll try to release supplemental videos with major updates or if there are some major discoveries for Nina down the line to keep things relevant too
Not even a Nina player, this is just a good guide in general
Thank you heaps! I tried my best to make it both informative and engaging 😁
Bruh, I was so waiting on you to release a guide for T8 Nina. Your T7 vids were amazing. From the Nina Tekken community, THANK YOU! From aka FEARLESSFLAMINGO (Nina main) THANK YOU!!!
Thanks mate. I hope you're liking this guide 😀
What sort of content would you like to see from me for Tekken 8?
I am enjoying the guide. There's so much you've covered to keep me learning for a while. If there are any new frame traps or tech you've learned since releasing the guide would be great additions. Any particular knowledge you can share about troublesome character match ups for nina would helpful also.
thank you finally someone made a video about my main 😊😊😊😊😊😊
You're welcome! Please check out the rest of my content as I have tonne of stuff about Nina on this channel. Most of it's from Tekken 7, but is still kinda relevant for Tekken 8
oh the April fools video got me so good. been waiting for this, keep up the good work brother.
Thank you :)
I hope you like this guide. I can't possibly count how many hours went into this. Probably hundreds though!
Great guide. Really reminds me of blasted salami type guides, but yours include even more. Curious to see more so you have my subscribe ^^
Hey mate! Thank you as always 😀
There were a couple of guides from bigger channels in Tekken 7, but you're right that a lot of people just consider her too niche, or just put it in the "too hard" basket 😔
There are a few guides for Tekken 8 floating around though, so hopefully that's changed! I of course want people watching my videos, but I encourage everyone to use whatever resources they can. As I said in my training section of this guide, just make sure you test whatever you're seeing. This includes my stuff of course! 😅
Nina is a well thought out and effective character
Agreed 👍
incredible video. The okizeme stuff is some crazy tech and the rest of the guide is truly essential for playing Nina in tekken 8. Truly, thank you!
You're very welcome. Thank you for the praise 😀
Thanks, I'm glad you like my guide :)
Have you started using Nina yet, or are you still focusing on Dragunov for now?
@@AFriendlyTreeI've just started her full on this week. I took a detour with Shaheen up to Raijin (he's pretty sick too actually). I got a feeling Nina will have hidden tech to keep me busy for months.
Amazing guide! This will help me out of purple ranks for sure! Theyve made evil mist much easier now!
Thank you, I hope it does help! :)
They have made evil mist easier but unfortunately the advantage on hit no longer gives anything guaranteed. They are forced to block or guess a 50/50 so a wr+1+2 or f,f+1+2 held can be the best option to deal recoverable damage and keep frame advantage
@@AFriendlyTree thanks will try this out!
Thank you for the amazing guide! I have been curious about learning Nina for ages and this guide is really in depth but also fun to watch :D
Keep it up, but more importantly, make sure that you're having fun at the same time 😁
Out of curiosity, are there particular things in my content that you felt were helpful in your journey?
That's so awesome to hear. Keep it up! :D
Wow, I just thinking about revisiting Nina thanks for the guide. Now to expand my game beside d343 lol.
Awesome. Have fun!

so structured and organized. Not like many other videos where they wing it and waste time rambling.
great work!
(liked, subbed, and commented for engagement. Wish you all the best for your channel growth)
Thank you so much! :)
This video is truly my passion project, and I put everything I could into it.
The biggest factor is enjoying what you're doing as you do little bits of practice here and there
You did an amazing job putting this together and explaining concepts on a basic level. Fantastic work.
Thanks! I'm glad you think it's good 🙂
Well this is huge. Can’t thank you enough for the hard work on this. Finally got to figure out some combos I couldn’t replicate.
Thank you!
Feel free to message me if you're still having some trouble with anything
This has been a God send for learning Nina! I appreciate you I’ll be coming back to this guide (also I stole a few combos 😭)

i dont even main nina and this guide has helped me with my own gameplay. thank you!
That's huge praise. Thank you 😊
Honestly I was expecting an Irish guy to prepare this comprehensive guide, not a Scottish one😅. But thank for all your effort. This is an amazing resource ❤❤
Haha thank you very much!
To make things even more confusing, I'm actually a New Zealander. Though if you go back a few generations I am indeed part Scottish and part Irish :)
@@AFriendlyTree
Woow I didn’t notice that. From your accent I thought you were Scottish. But as far as I can see your Irish genes are more dominant 😂
wow this must of been a lot of work, props to you my man! GREAT content and layout!
Thanks heaps. It took an immense amount of work. I'm glad that it's been so well-received :)
Also as a ch tool i would add f2(1 3/4), it can be twitch confirmable from the 1st hit (like kings df2), so its kinda safe long reach i13 high ch launcher
Besides that great video!
Yes, good call on both of these moves. I made the decision to limit the move selection portion to only 2 options for each, but there are many other valid and viable tools that could match the categories :)
Love the video, still coming back to it to widen my move list and to brush up on usage scenarios for moves I may have not considered.
That's so awesome to hear! :D
Thank you so much for this incredible, thorough, and organized Nina guide. I really appreciate the drills in the execution section. Your work is very appreciated.

I'm learning to play Nina and i found a gold mine here! thanks!!!

How are you finding Nina so far?
It's past my bedtime... but I'll watch :)
Every time I play Tekken, Nina reminds me that I should be in bed asleep lol
Awesome thank you! My main since T4
You're welcome. She's changed a lot since Tekken 4. What have you thought of her changes throughout the series?
I used Nina/Anna a lot in Tag 2 as well and did use Anna a fair bit in T7 too
I appreciate your video. Explained in a very good way, showed one thing practically
Goated. Excellent work
Thank you, I appreciate it :)

Hey Mickey, thank you for the kind words, I really do appreciate it 😊
Have you had a chance to watch through the guide?
@@AFriendlyTree Thx but i can understand you well in English. Im just speaking Not good.
Your English seems fine. There's no trouble for me to understand what you're saying 👍
Loved it! Just as loved your Tekken 7 videos.
Please now make some frame traps and punish guide
Thank you. I'm glad you have loved this video too 🙂
I mention Nina's punishment options of course, and a few frame traps during the strategy section, but I imagine you're watching some more character-specific options, yes?
I'm not sure how efficiently I could do a series like that again, but I'll see what happens over the next while

Can i ask u question? Is the evil mist is still guarante launch like tekken 7? Because i did on player sometimes its work get launc and sometimes it’s get blocked can u expl?
Hey, I'm glad you find the video helpful 😀
I'm sorry to say that evil mist no longer gives anything if it hits except dealing 10 recoverable damage, and giving you high frame advantage to continue your pressure. In other words, no launcher is guaranteed after anymore 😞

Welcome! It definitely is a strange time. Regardless, I hope you're enjoying using Nina :)
@@AFriendlyTree thanks in part to your video, I finally made it to purple ranks for the first time. The journey continues! Thanks a lot for the excellent resource!
One question in the oki section, how do you do the qcf2 after df3+4? Thanks in advance! Love the guide
A crouch cancel is the answer :)
I just want to mention as well that df+3+4 is an easier input for "wipe the floor" however it makes the move much slower. Using d,df+4 or FC df+4 is much more practical with FC df+4 being 11f faster than df+3+4!
Wow, this is so informative
I'm glad you think so! :)
great video, I learnt many new things here, but I have question, what does ~db2 mean, after df3,2 I can land the db2 very rarely and I can't properly understand how that part works, it often gives me the hayashida step, I am dpad player, any speculations what am I doing wrong?
See 48:00 its a df32B for backsway and canceling into an immediate db2.
@@VTorb oh thanks a lot, I kinda missed that part
@VTorb beat me to the answer :)
@@AFriendlyTree thanks a lot! How can I send you?
@@AFriendlyTree Ahh okay im still struggling a bit but i can kinda do the first db2, having trouble with the second one where i need to dash in but will keep cooking with it
thx for this
You're most welcome
Amazing stuff .. i think in t8, her gameplay is to inflict chip damage and then remove it
Thanks. Yeah, I think that is a huge part of her gameplay too.
I need to get used to punishing with WS+3 more when I'm not in heat.
Ok... I really need to shake a lot of other bad habits first! 😂

Thanks mate. I hope you've been well. Have you been playing Tekken 8 much?
@@AFriendlyTree No, the balancing is really awful right now.
Don't feel like playing it much rn tbh :(
Nina is really fun though

Well it could happen. We do have Gods of Destruction in the game already! 🤣
Love me some Nina 😤
I have absolutely no clue how to even start butterfly loops. I can't even get ssr~df1 in the first example
Hit a wall in red ranks relying on legacy knowledge so thank you for this
Hopefully this can help you soar through the ranks! 😁
