The secret is in the mixture, they have the formula for the magic potion. Between the 70´s and the 90´s several bands also had it (sometimes). Now it is an exclusive secret of these little witches. I love them.
Have you noticed how this song blooms? Not only music but also progression of video. At the start you only get glimpse of their torso, hair etc and as song progresses, you get glimpse of their faces to only see them in full bloom near the end. I don't know official story behind it but i think it is about band maturing. You can say so much with visuals and music even if you don't understand the language.
My favorite new rock/metal band, haven’t found a bad set/song. Loving new sounds since late 1960. It takes a lot for me to get excited about new sounds, but the talent of this band is off the charts.your right about the star of the band usually great drummer or featured guitar, or great vocals. This band they are all stars very gifted and passionate about rock. Great reaction keep rockin🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I like both bands, but I don't really get the comparison....they're both rock bands that emphasize melody and have clean vocals, i guess? Rise Against is punky and angsty where Band Maid is vivid and bright. Band Maid's music has more technical composition, and more variation in songwriting in general so I guess I prefer them, but RA wins on lyrics hands down and offers a totally different mood.
This song is at the end of their newest CD. Almost half the songs on the CD have a lighter, more experimental feel than almost all of their old stuff. Even their harder stuff has a bit of blues and other genres mixed it. Blooming, IMO, is them taking all those lessons from other types of music and synthesizing them into their style and making the most Band-Maid song that Band-Maid has ever Band-Maided, and I love it. Currently at war with DICE for my favorite.
Exactly! Completely agree. This song is an absolute masterclass on the best of rock music- Rush, Yes, Zeppelin, Floyd level stuff here (& a few others, sure) - this is high level music that’s rarely made and I do think it’s the best song they’ve made - considering all elements - just a notch above Manners, Warning, Rinne, Dice, Domination and all those other amazingly great songs. A shame there aren’t videos for Fate, Liberal and a few other mega song.
Yea this one is my favorite song of BAND-MAID it has everything. 👉 Akane: wicked drumming thru out the song. 👉 Kanami: insane guitar solo. 👉 Saiki / Miku: Vocal harmonizing. 👉 MISA: Bass breakdown. 👉 Breakdown section at the end. Overall a Masterpiece! *Blooming the gateway drug of BAND-MAID!!!*
Please check out The Warning. Songs like The One, Black Holes, Stalker, Our Mistakes, and Survive are relatable to people in their every day lives but the music is like the best of rock with new energy and style. All three can sing lead, all three are master musicians but humble enough to keep learning their craft. All three have been recognized by major instrument manufacturers as a new, upcoming influence on rock. They are fully independent and fan funded meaning no corporate beast telling what to do or wear. They write ALL their own music and lyrics, which is astonishing given they are 15, 18, and 20 and most of the songs were written when they were younger. None of their songs are bubble gum pop or shallow, all have deep meanings and intelligence. They are also the most humble, supportive, and caring musicians you will ever see. Intelligent, talented, charismatic, and inspiring (not to mention beautiful). The Warning is worth the time to check them out. Did I mention that they have 2 full albums and 1 EP, and the second album is a well executed concept album that tells a compelling story without going artsy but a visceral look at a women going through the emotions of unrequited love, possessiveness, psychosis, and suicide? It is worth it.
That look on your face in the beginning when realizing that you never thought your favorite band would be 5 Japanese girls in main uniforms playing not hardcore metal, but more pop-hard-rock, and you now have to accept that there is no way back!
My favorite song of theirs is Moratorium but part of me says that this is objectively their best song. They've got a lot of songs of this quality for sure.
Check out The Warning a three teenage sister rock band out of Mexico. They are freekin amazing. Band-Maid and The Warning are my favorite female rock bands. Thanks 😊 Plus The Warning are a independent band so no copyright strike. Reactors have been playing full live concerts with no interruptions.
Yes indeed, Bob and TJ are right! TW does not know how to disappoint, just churning out great song after great song and another sure to be great album on the come. 30+ phenomenal songs to delve into, much like Band-Maid. Not as heavy in some respects as B-M but lots of parallels since they both know how to write catchy hard rock songs that are upbeat, hard-driving bangers with phenomenal choruses and harmonies. Get after it Grumpy Dude!! ;-) \m/ \m/
Don't miss this! BAND MAID CONCERT STREAM tonight. This will be the live set they originally planned to perform at Knotfest. m.th-cam.com/video/qwFWESRave4/w-d-xo.html
This sound has been gestating in the underground (often literally) live room scene in Japan for the past decade+, we just haven't been paying enough attention! The hard rock semi-metal&grunge sound reminds me of bands like UPLIFT Spice that went before, and so many seem to owe much to EllaGarden
The breakbeat is known as the Amen break, there's some great videos on TH-cam about it. It was fundamental to the success of modern dance music. The most famous break ever!
Here's some more girl power for you, from Mexico this time - The Warning. Classically trained on piano, they took up guitars and drums and their cover of Enter Sandman went viral. 20+ million views so far. But that was 2015. Here is the first song from their 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene. This is Dust to Dust: th-cam.com/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/w-d-xo.html
I too have thought of Rise Against when listening to them. Sometimes there's certain progressions or even just a sound that makes you think of a band and I've definitely heard Rise Against at some point in their music. Glad I'm not the only one.
Just play their songs in order of release and then you see the growth as it happened. Especially Miku. Rock n roll is attitude. Which these ladies have in abundance. Being insanely talented doesn't hurt, either.
Please react to *THE WARNING*, a band that I have been following for more than a year. They are three sisters from Monterrey-Mexico, aged 20, 18 and 15 yo. The band started doing covers, but now has one EP and two albuns of their original songs and is working on the third one. They were going to tour the USA and Canada, but it has been postponed by the present international health situation. I found them when YT recommended the song “Dust to Dust” and I clicked “Play”! I did that about 16 times in a row, trying to understand what it was, because they sounded like something I've never heard before! So please react to the same song that hooked me, wich is the first from their second album “Queen of the Murder Scene”. This is a concept album and “Dust to Dust” is the prolog for a haunting story, told along 13 songs, like a book or a rock opera! I leave you a playlist link for that song, and the remaining songs of the album in sequence, in case you like what you hear and want to know the all story. Thanks. th-cam.com/play/PLNX5vGgr5FmYGVkvRF14WPDpaOFGyy9_Z.html
I took way too long to to find this band. But after hearing them last year I own all the major albums on CD imported from Europe, and even have one of the singles. These girls are fucking awesome.
Some here just mentioned , "Puzzle". When the backing vocals came in at the first chorus , my fucking brain short circuited and allowed space for BandMaid to set up shop.....
Because you enjoy the duels the live Don’t You Tell Me is one I think you would really enjoy. Although, because you like the Bass the opening of One and Only is just a shotgun blast and the little jazzy break of Secret Maiko Lips will catch you off guard.
Been bingeing on your reactions. There was an all female band popular in 80s, Show-ya. First one. All the current female bands trace back to them. Hosted an all female band festival In Osaka till 1990. Show-ya reboot in 2010 or so. That's one reason for all the influences. That and Tower Records is huge in Japan. Old school multi floor record store.
has youtube been just shoving this band in everyones face lately? TH-cam has been throwing all the japanese rock at me the last week, ive found like 4 good bands already that i cant understand a word of but love it.
Not sure if you will see this one, But the only Band-maid song I recommend for anyone listening to bandmaid for the first time is daydreaming. It is more like a ballad, very very good sound. One of my favorite guitar parts in any song, and definitely my favorite of the singer. Not as heavy as a lot of stuff, but super emotional sounding.
I would reccomend a band named "Hello Sleepwalkers" and their song "where does the monkey fall from" (yeah thats the rough translation). Their an alternative rock band. Curious to see if you like it.
Você não conhece The Warning ? Você ficará impressionado com tudo relacionado a banda. Começa com 3 irmãs, fazendo um rock e ? veja isso: th-cam.com/video/lz_HeV5iOkU/w-d-xo.html
Hey, Grumpy!! So nice to see you reacting to Band Maid!! Want to get back on line for your show, Playlist, this week as well. Will look for some sappy songs for you. BTW, just subscribed...sorry for being late.
just wanted to ask if you ever heard of Medival music since here in germany we got an about 3 football fields big medival market to which these bands come and not many people know of this kind of music so i thought i recommend something from this kind of market and music festival! Saltatio Mortis - Prometheus (Provocatio) its a rather slow song but it show how this festival is and maybe you even like it! other bands that also are there are Schelmish, Rapalje, Schandmaul, Heiter bis Folkig, Rabenschrey, ye banished privateers, Mr Hurley und die Pulveraffen and many more! just to also name some of them but they dont got a Video of their live show most of the time which is why i only told you about saltatio mortis but you can definitly also check out Ye Banished Privateers - First Night Back in Port
Dude, you need to check out The Warning. A band of three sisters from Mexico the youngest is the bass player Alejandra 15, the drummer Paulina - Pau is 18 and Daniela the lead singing and singer is 20. This is Queen of the Murder Scene, the title track of their latest album, a concept album with a really cool story. th-cam.com/video/OHN0-arxsx4/w-d-xo.html. The phrase in the chorus is "Korosu" a Japanese phrase that literally translates to “kill” or “murder” depending on the context.
how about trying unlucky morpheus's song, id suggest la voix du sang, spartan army (instrumental) or cadaver/revadac. the violin is freakin dope. also cadaver/revadec is two separate with the same music score, except reversed. edit: and yeah i recommed the live version for all of those song.
Japanese and Korean bands/groups are first live performers and studio is second. Part of what hurts American music they are dependent on session musicians and autotune even live. Okay 2 requests you may not be ready for: Rock in Me, Band-Maid and BxMxC, Babymetal. I guarantee that you are not ready for either!
I like your reaction sir, but they are Not K-pop...J, Not Kay-Z...Jay-Z...Yes? Anyway I don’t think they are J-popish? They just Amazing Cool Rock Band 🤘😎😎😎 Ps I was miss understood what your said. But When talking about Band maid, it's sad to mention baby metal or J-pop & K-pop.

"I'm like here sitting here talking about the drummer and the gitarist just went apeshit!" This is the kinda reactions I watch reaction videos for x3.
Don Mayo 😂🤘🏻
@@TheGrumpyNerd I really need to rewatch your reaction vid of their first song you did. x3.
Every instrument compliments the others in the group as they play off each other! PURE MAGIC!

It's all about the contrast with these ladies. Nice one!😁
See them live, man, it will change your life. One of the few bands around that is actually better live.
Now... Band Maid the non fiction days live or Puzzle live!
Band Maid 👐
My favorite new rock/metal band, haven’t found a bad set/song. Loving new sounds since late 1960. my thoughts as well, this is the only band I would travel to see.
Can't wait for April 1st to see what they do.
don't get your hopes up. Most Japanese bands and artists are postponing or cancelling gigs because of Coronavirus...
@@Mithguar How would COVID-19 postpone something like a new Band-Maiko video or something similar?
@@StrikitRich oh i forgot about that. Was thinking you are going for a gig or something.
My personal opinion mate... This band shits on Rise Against. no competition at all. band maid thinking and energy is way more refreshing.
Agree... their compositions are more complex in their structure. RATM is good, but they lost me after 3-4 songs.BM? not so much.
I definitely heard Rise Against overtones in Just Bring It. Metallica vibes on World Domination. Conqueror is pure Band Maid
@@Rhaegar19 RA kinda wins in lyrics by default, though...unless you can understand Japanese fluently.
Thanks for always introducing me to new music ! I'll be able to watch the twitch show because school was canceled!

How about some softer songs from them? Try "Daydreaming" and "Awkward" or "Anemone".
You should react to Philippine bands cause Filipino loves love K-pop.
I love Band Maid so much. Tell me though do get that Slash vibe from Kanami? And MISA is Flea from Red Hott Chili Peppers.
Dude! You should react to some Brazilian singers like IZA (Pesadão, for example). Sure u gonna like it!!
I think you'll really like Puzzle :)
