天にまします我らの父よ、願わくは御名をあがめさせたまえ。
御国を来たらせたまえ。
御心の天になるごとく、地にもなさせたまえ。
我らの日用の糧を今日も与えたまえ。
我らに罪をおかす者を我らが赦すごとく、我らの罪をも赦したまえ。

ten ni mashimasu warera no chichi yo, negawaku wa mina o agamesase tamae.
mikuni o kitarase tamae.
mikokoro no ten ni naru gotoku, chi nimo nasase tamae.
warera no nichiyou no kate o kyou mo atae tamae.
warera ni tsumi o okasu mono o warera ga yurusu gotoku,
warera no tsumi omo yurushi tamae.

Please continue with the series of 祈り, they´re really helpful when you´re a beginner hehe. Maybe like different ways to start a prayer, and some basic and common steps that follows it. I´m still trying to get use corcerning the order of the sentences in japanese, so this would be really helpful :)

I looked for the word mashimasu in a dictionary with no luck. I found another one with a kanji at the beginning meaning "to increase" is that the same?

Firstly, the Japanese language style in this video is called “文語 bungo.”(bungo: Japanese written language established mainly during the Heian period, around 900 - 1200, and continued to be commonly used until around 1900.) Bungo is differ from the today’s Japanese language, so it is tricky.
The verb “ましますmashimasu (bungo style)” is a honorific expression of “ますmasu (bungo style),” which means “いるiru.”
Bungo style
“Ten ni masu warera no chichi yo.” (normal)
↓
“Ten ni mashimasu warera no chichi yo.”(honorific)
Today’s style
“Ten ni iru watashitachi no chichi yo.”(normal)
↓
“Ten ni imasu(irassharu,orareru) watashitachi no chichi yo.”(honorific)
Bungo is very difficult even for Japanese. I hope this helps you!

-"ます"(mas)!form, you can use it with pretty much anyone, as it is polite. The plain form shouldn't be used in formal settings. It would be kind of like "Tu" and "Vous" in French.

I’m sorry I am not familiar with that topic because I grew up in a Protestant church where people do not make the sign of the cross. I’m sorry for that. I hope somebody can help you with that topic.

@@phananh1110 The sign of the cross in Japanese is "Chichi to Ko to Seirei no mina ni yotte. Amen". Just google 'Catholic prayers in Japanese' and you will find a number of beautiful Catholic prayers. The Lord's Prayer is actually slightly different from the version given above too. I have memorised several Catholic prayers to help me in my Japanese studies, and I try to recite them every morning. In that way, I get to say my daily prayers and practice my Japanese at the same time. I also practice my Japanese writing by writing them out in Japanese. I highly recommend doing that too.

This version is widely used in the Protestant churches in Japan😄
